  • Thanks Robin - I am pleased!

I have found some nice suits but one is perfect fits etc but the zip is awful! Still has tags and this is really annoying I might even take it to m&s as the zip just doesnt do up over the belt area....

with regards to the car I do agree - I think that he has been deprived of so much (when he was little his mum was in trouble with money always and was even given a benefits withdrawal for overclaiming!) that now we finally are reaching a better place with our debt that he wants to have something he has always wanted - the nice car that is reliable.

    onwards anyhow!

    Hope everyone is good? x

  • So news. No car! cancelled booking for a test drive. I think its for the best at the moment. We are instead having a relaxing sunday before another mental week.

Work is so draining at the moment. Its crazy how I work form 7am to 5:30-6pm every day and dont get over time! Never mind things like the bonus make up for it.. I might use some it to treat myself on Saturday and we are now having a 'date' night inspired by lucky! x

Had a great if spendy weekend. I got myself new work shoes (primark £10 amazing - better than the clarks ones I bought last time!) jeans tights and a jumper for £30. I think thats good? I also went out for dinner with DH it was really lovely.

I am so excited to get paid this month and see what else I can pay off!! yay! xx

So guys guess what I did this morning??? Paid off one RBS credit card!! £1,445. Gone. Forever. I literally had tears in my eyes. Cant wait to pay of Barclaycard on 1st (£225), Lloyds overdraft (tomorrow lunchtime as need to update address and name) c£50 and close. Then I am only left with capital one, mint, other rbs credit card and loan. bringing creditors down from 18 to 4, debt down from c£15,500 to £8,000. This is amazing I am so happy I've done this hard slog on with the rest!

  • Dear all

I had another lightbulb moment this morning. I had some savings in an emergency fund so I have no also paid off my capital one!! However, wont be sorting LLoyds until Friday as seeing MIL (up from cornwell) this lunch time and market research tomorrow!

I am very happy - another c£650 off my debt plus the fact that I was paying 30.64% interest or £186.59 a year just for that much money on a cc. CRAZY!

I read all about Martin's paying off debts with savings, and it really made me think. The great thing is, the capital one has a c£1,000 limit and that means if I need too I can use that so no worries about only having £100 spare.

I really feel that I am coming round to this MSE way - so happy.

Have a magical day all xxx

  • Dear all

I must have caught something - I am at working feeling really rather poorly. I think I need a break and not to get up quite so early every day! Tomorrow I need to chance pair of work shoes I bought last weekend and some tights - they were Primark and rubbish not happy!

Didnt have a NSD as I did some market research but this will cover my costs so not a bad day.

Hope you are all good? x

  • Oh it doesnt rain it only pours!

Having huge MIL issues - the worst abusive partner ever (doesn't hit but emotionally). its so draining.

Apart from that staying strong and have had my first debt meeting with work until new noddle comes through on the 17th Nov. This isnt an issue I have completely been keeping up with the payments credit report is just not updating quickly enough!

Hope you are all well- catching up on all your diaries. x
