    Dear all

Thank you for your lovely messages - I am truly on cloud 9. Its something I have wanted for so long.

At the moment I am struggling to find somewhere to live, hopefully have a few places up my sleeves but the fees etc are so crazy.

My insurance company have been great and hopefully will sort out the money side of losses soon.

My burns are bad (I may have to do a no win no fee claim type thing) but healing.

I've managed to get £135 back off the Landlord today (although he didnt ask to come to the flat!) so feel pleased about that. Sadly, that will go straight out again in agency fees but still must not complain.

The new place I have my heart set on is cheaper by £20 per week. I think I could reduce our food budget down to that (not including fish and booze) and therefore savings to be had a plenty. Its just being sorted out with the letting agent and LL.

I just want to live with my husband in a clean, happy home simply but not in massive luxury!

Hopefully find out bonus (to be paid monday) and I will ask about payrises!! Getting my new business cards too... can't believe it is really happening....

    Dear all

    AN UPDATE!

    Positive news yet again.

Firstly BONUS!! Was perfect just what I needed. Enough to cover my deposit for my new house, which although is more expensive so much nicer and I will have my own garden again so will be saving money in the future with herbs and veg being grown. I always used to have a garden before I moved to London. Luckily too, goodness knows how, council tax in less etc so really the new place is about £150 a month more or £75 each between myself and DH.

I also have been reading my tenancy agreement, and it clearly says that our rent should be refunded c£800 along with our deposit which is £1200 both can be used towards debt repayments for me! YAY!!

Also, am likely to get a pay rise so more debt busting in that case.

I feel so happy to have found a new home and be moving on up in my carer - like another stepping stone crossed and a happy little message at the other end.

thanks for all putting up with my random witterings. x

  • What an eventful few weeks, so glad you got your authorisation and bonus they made you wait a while.

Sorry to hear about the fire, that's the second one you've been through isn't it? I hope your injuries heal up well. Great news on the new flat sounds lovely, sending you best wishes that the claim and dealings with landlord get sorted quickly and easily.

    Morning everyone!

So today is another beautiful day in old Lawnden town and I am staying positive. Until we move I do not know what the bills etc will be so I am crossing my fingers and toes its not too much.

I know the council tax is less around £10 a month less so thats good, but the rent is £174 more. However, payrise is £141 net additional each month. Fingers crossed debt busting continues!!

Have a good day all xx
