Just looked at my tiny Halifax overdraft (I think its tiny, £200) costs £1 a day. Thats a 365% APR and means I am totally paying over the odds for it?! I cannot wait to pay that one off.. mental. That costs me £32 a month!!!

'Morning Sparky, :hello:
Caught up with you at last!
Reckon you can give yourself a pat on the back for the last month's progress in 'being :money: aware'; not using OD and clocking up lots of NSDs (given your location, that's very impressive! :T).
Sorry to read FCA still have you on tenterhooks - if you were my DD, those pesky debts would have been transferred to a private arrangement within family, because you've learned the lesson and are being put at a professional disadvantage (one of my SILs smashed glass ceilings during her career in your industry, but had to fight hard for every progression - testosterone producers are still unfairly favoured by the Top Dogs so it would upset me to know a family member was doubly disadvantaged by debt, when that could be avoided by using funds which her elders had [earning very little] in a bank a/c).
That is not to criticise your parents at all; am talking about extended family working together, which is often simply no longer possible these days - alas.
Of course, once you've got through this difficult level using only your own gumption, you'll be well set to rise in seniority - feel certain you will succeed.
Good luck for :money: efforts in July!0 -
Aww Robin you are so kind. Thank you for reading!
I am sure my family would help, but I didnt know it was going to be such an issue, and by the stage I had got to it would have caused more problems as I would have to explain why I no longer had the issue?! does that make sense?
Never mind, its my mess and I am sorting it! fingers crossed I will get authorised soon. STILL NO NEWS!! Also no news on the B word but I am crossing all my fingers that this will be c£1,000 after tax. I am paid a lot less than I could get for my role, but I work for a great firm who care and are training me and paying for exams etc. However, a little payrise and a B word would just make such a difference in my life.
Especial as they are now saying I need a car! i shall just magic up one from somewhere...!!
All this waiting to driving me crazy. But luckily all my studies are taking over so fingers crossed that should all go fine...
Hope you area all well finally managed 11 NSD in JUNE!! AMAZING!! Hopefully first NSD of July today.... xx

morning all!
Work is so busy but I am getting the overtime in... hopefully 6 or 7 hours this week which all helps.
STILL NOTHING FROM THE FCA, literally pulling my hair out and stressing. But much like a regal swan, all calm on the surface and flapping like mad underneath!!!
As far as NSD and MSE I didn't have a NSD yesterday. I bought reduced salad, bread and avocados from Co-Op and used my student discount to get another 10% bringing the total to £2.16. I used some of the salad for tea (mushroom risotto!) and the rest will be for my lunches this week with the avocados and bread! so not a bad total for my lunches and some tea.
Great news from my bro hes been offered a job before he has even graduated! SO proud.
I hope I have a answer from the FCA today.... and then I can stop boring you all!!
I made cake for work and raised £50 for charity yesterday, very pleased!! xx

Morning all
As I am sure you are all terribly bored by now I will not mention the 'authorisation issue' until there is an update.....
Yesterday only spend was a 35p reduced loaf of bread which is lunches for the rest of the week (yesterdays loaf was only tiny and with toast and sandwiches vanished in a day!) so pleased with that.
We are having champs and cake in the office today as someone is getting married tomorrow - they are most defo not a MSE!! but cant wait for the treat.
Tomorrow too, lots of people are on holiday so we are planning a little 'tea' party in the office, pimms and scones! How lovely eh?
I hope B word gets talked about soon, or at least pay rises! We are very underpaid (compared to other firms with the same roles) but its a great place to work so we get that. However, company has made money over the last year so need to reward those how helped create it!!
anyhow take care all update you again soon X
