Amazon Logistics (rant)

Almost all our orders from September 2014 on started coming via Amazon Logistics. We had a few problems with them, but nothing major. The main problem was the lack of a DPD-style delivery time.
The odd thing is, though, that in early November everything went back again to DPD and Royal Mail for no apparent reason, and it's stayed that way ever since. I had complained to Amazon about the poorer service, but Amazon never act on individual complaints about delivery methods, so it can't be that.
I'm assuming that the company they were using round here to do their Logistics deliveries (I've forgotten its name, but it wasn't one I'd ever heard of) decided it wasn't getting paid enough and gave up.
Anyone else had Logistics start - and then inexplicably stop again? Not complaining, though - more than happy to be back with Royal Mail and DPD again.0 -

Amazon are renowned fro picking up and dropping carriers/methods.
Hence why most carriers covet them and try and keep them happy.0 -
I've got to say the "drivers" that I've had have been impolite to the point of rudeness. One even delivered at 20:40, which in my opinion is simply unacceptable.
Would far prefer DPD but presumably they cost a lot more.
Yes, how terrible they've delivered it later rather than made you wait another day. The horror.0 -

Apart from the fact that they quote "until 8pm" in their own terms?
After 20:00, I assume I'm able to go out/make dinner/hump the couch without fear of interruption. Not to mention some people work shifts/have sleeping babies etc.0 -

Just to add to the chorus. Multiple items failed at various stages of delivery. I have incurred £100s worth of bank and currency fees on the refunds to my account. I am 100s of pounds out of pocket thanks to this scandalously unreliable company. Look around the internet and you will find thousands of instances of this happening. Use Ebay instead, I implore you.
TL;DR I consider Amazon Logistics to be a SCAM. DO NOT USE.0 -
Is Amazon Logistics (just a name they've adopted for any one of a number of unnamed carriers they use) still going?
Many, many months since I last had anything delivered that way. They've gone back to a combination of Royal Mail and DPD for most of my Prime stuff.0 -

Yes, putting earplugs on a baby is totally possible.
Not entirely sure why the hard of thinking on this thread don't understand that delivery after 20:00 is a breach of Amazon's own terms and conditions...0 -
