Credit to Amazon, they've sent my last four orders by Royal Mail. Maybe they figured it was better to be sure they arrived. So nice not to have to be chasing AL through Amazon Cust Services each evening.

Rumblings are that Amazon are about to shunt a whole chunk of traffic over to RM in the final push for Xmas.

Had two deliveries from them, no complaints. One came on a Saturday which was good as not all couriers deliver then. The other came at 10am despite the driver setting out from a very very long way away!
  • I see I'm not the only one having problems with Amazon logistics!
I just had an email saying they tried and failed to deliver my parcel today. I live in a cul de sac, and we have not had a single car or van up it all day. I know because I'm sat in the front room next to the front door! I've rung Amazon to complain and they said they won't be any more deliveries until jan 2 now. I'm really annoyed as I paid extra for first class delivery too!

Who runs this service? We seem to have grotty vans and hired vans delivering now. Such a pain!

Well, having got fed up with waiting in 3 days for deliveries we tried their "Local collect" service. It worked fine, good old Royal Mail. The only problem was Amazon gave hours of business as 7 days a week early 'til late, it's a post office - 9 to 5 & closed Sunday.
Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

Good old Royal Mail? Not round here, they're not - they haven't delivered since before Christmas because the roads and pavements are icy and there are 'Health and Safety' issues.

And this is just a few miles from a major city, in an easily accessible village! Even Amazon Logistics would be an improvement on this.
  • This is the first time I've had a parcel to be delivered by Amazon logistics and can't say I'm impressed. Present for child's birthday party on Sunday should have gone out for delivery on Wednesday (when I was in all day) but didn't. I was out yesterday and came home to a 'sorry we missed you' card. I've waited in all day today and its still out for delivery, I guess not to expect it today?

The real kicker is that apparently they tried to deliver it TWICE yesterday so this is my third strike you're out chance. And if it hasn't arrived by tomorrow lunchtime I'm going to have to go out to the shops to buy an equivalent anyway so it'll be too late for Amazon.

Not happy. At least Royal Mail let you pick up parcels from the sorting office at your convenience rather than being stuck indoors all day for a delivery that doesn't come.
"Why, this is hell, nor am I out of it."

Amazon Logistics have delivered to me up to 8pm so it might still arrive.

A lot seems to depend on the drivers in your area. Mine's great and he delivers 7 days a week - only one occasion when I had a problem and he was on my doorstep with my box a couple of hours after I raised a query with Amazon.

I've got to say the "drivers" that I've had have been impolite to the point of rudeness. One even delivered at 20:40, which in my opinion is simply unacceptable.
Would far prefer DPD but presumably they cost a lot more.

It's later than I'd expect a parcel but I'd hardly describe it as unacceptable. I'd rather I got it then than having to wait another day.
