I had a long chat with him and though we had offer from the Guardian,we are hanging fire at mo.Shame! if it was me i would be straight in there. He's a very proud and private person and i respect him enormously,so i left it with him to think about. His regiment big guns are talking with telegraph some time this week and i think people here are working behind the scenes.deadline for paying this PE RACKET passed 6 days ago.no further letters yet.

Thanks for the update. Like you say it has to be his decision.
In some ways it's a shame as it would be a sure fire way of getting P E to drop this ludicrous case and they deserve all the bad publicity that can be thrown at them for this but I'm sure those working behind the scenes will achieve a positive outcome for him without him having to do something he's uncomfortable with just to get something stopped that should never have been started.

Yeah, spot on.thanks.in a way im disapointed too because he' a tough cookie and he's bang on 100% right.love to see this shambolic and ugly company get a good dose of JUDGE in it's face. One thing i do know, there's no way PE will get a smell of his money, now not unless they force him to court.I'll make sure then that the Guardian and his regiment friends are there! If he gets any more letters,i just phone his regiment as i contacted them & spoke at length.as i said the regiment deputy is meeting the Telegraph tomorrow. He deserves to be apologised to thats for sure and i wont let it go anyway,he knows that.lol!
    lets see what happens.
  • The Trouble is with the defence you most likely using he will more then likely lose

  • Ten out of ten for being his advocate coventrian.

Much as we all would all revel in this for this going public, we have to balance the desired exposure of the working practices of Parking Eye, with the needs of your friend.

There maybe a "third way", perhaps a cathartic chat, confidentially, with a friendly Journo, may be the way forward??

    Ultimately, his interests are paramount.
