I think that is,and will be on the cards. He's done nothing wrong but be ill and for them to say he "chose to ignore correspondence" when being in hospital for a month,is a lie.I wonder if they can provide us with evidence to support that statement?0

I like your style.
There's an awful lot of Paranoia round here about Parking Eye.
Battles with this company do seem sometimes a little "cat and mouse." I suspect that those about to enter into the adversarial system Parking Eye choose to settle disputes, with this company, are, quite rightly, suspicious of their activities.
The best legal brains in the business haven't actually quite sussed it though. Just be open, honest, transparent and helpful and you won't go far wrong.
As I've said earlier, I'm truly sorry that your friend has worried about this situation. The story of his journey with Parking Eye so far is a gem, and highlights how the "fatcats" get fatter on the back of vulnerable folk. However, I should imagine this chap needs as little stress as possible at the moment, so, as a true advocate, do what's best for him. There will be equal challenges to Parking Eyecoming up.
It's okay to debate his worries on here c, I've only recently joined this forum, but it would seem that things are getting a little watered down.
Everyone seems worried about "the legal consequences."
Perhaps you could tell your mate about the entertainment he's provoked, I bet he'd be chuffed to bits. Wishing him a speedy recovery.
The truth prevails.Illegitimi non carborundum:)0 -
He wants the story out,but he wants just the story out.Not him.Our defence was simple, truthful and to the point but we are not lawyers or experts in law and we dont do this everyday like these cold fish turds. But we have a fighting spirit and thats what counts about this type of community. This guy, like so many who never came home, was willing to lay down his life to rid our doorstep of tyrany, just for his own kind(loose term) to step on him.and if it wasn't for the likes of him, some or all,of these leeches may never have had a continuing bloodline.0

Yep,thats the problem with the way things go.Its all about the legalities of life not what is common sense.I hope every day these maggots look at their children they realise he was part of the process that allowed it to happen.Nice offers of help from here has warmed my heart, especially the offer to represent him in court for free.Top banana.:T0

Parking Prankster has something to say about this:-
So for instance, if xxxx xxxxx* chief enforcer of ParkingEye, found that the public knowledge of his refusal to cancel the parking charge for an 89 year veteran was not helping a career move, the Prankster could helpfully redact his name.
* name removed to satisfy forum rules
If you actually want to see that person's name, take a look at Pranky's blogWhat part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0 -
Just reading this through again, 89? did He serve in the 1939-1945 War (Second world War) ?
People of that generation lived through what was ( and hopefully will be) the last full total war in this part of the world.
Although we have not had total peace since 1945, neither have we had total war, and thats thanks to those who served and/or survived the second world war who helped build a better world, we are truly standing on the shoulders of giants, and we owe a huge amount to that generation.
what they went through is unthinkable and un imaginable to most of us.
Which makes the Actions of Parking eye, the BPA, and most importantly the people who allowed parking eye onto their land even more repugnant.
I would just like to add, that I am no supporter of war, I think it is abhorrent, however I will wear a poppy at the right time of year out of respect for those who played their part in building a better world. From the Plain Language Commission:
"The BPA has surely become one of the most socially dangerous organisations in the UK"0 -
hahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!
Well that hit my spot!
...And Oh, is that who it was that sold himself to the toilet bowl. And is that who HE IS.
I will do my best not to divulge his name and position to my ARMY friends and whoever else i don't speak to.
Might read the paper tomorrow!
Wicked!!
Don't get angry,get even.0 -
I cannot give away any more information than is already known. That's his business.I'm sticking up for him on this, but his friend too.
PE have said in their court papers that, "Had you corresponded with us earlier...." He proved he couldn't.
PE "prior to this we had corresponded with you 4 times in relation to this parking charge, all of which you CHOSE to ignore" how do you know?
What did he do then?.Unplugg himself from the heart machine .sneek out of hospital everynight,(or at least once) go home, have a cuppa,CHECK HIS MAIL!!!!! see your parking ticket, laugh at it and sneek back in to hospital?
I would will remove one of my kidneys if they can prove he did, and invite you all round to throw darts at it.
PE if you can't prove that, clear off.
That is what i would say to a judge.0 -
With all due respect to this person, i think you are making a mistake and i think by concentrating on this "during the war stuff" is a mistake.
At the end of the day the fact he is a certain age fought in the war is completely irrelevant.
All that matters is the facts of the claim , his defence, not his age or war effort.
Despite how unhappy people are with this we need to remember what's important in this, and no matter how many people go to hearing or how angry you are is going to change this.Proud to be a member of the Anti Enforcement Hobbyist Gang.:D:T0 -
The shameful thing in all this is you are dead right.we all know the law is an !!! when it comes to protecting the vulnerable and often it is the liars and cheats that get the protection. The advice from here is just that, fight on points of law.I know the land owners can stop this action so thats where i will start.0
