What gets me about this and other PE cases is that even when the parking company are given new and relevant information they still persist in going after the motorist. Pranky highlighted another example where a motorist first visited the northbound motorway service area in the morning and then the southbound area in the evening and PE tried to say that they had stopped the whole day. Even when it was proved that they were visits in two separate car parks, it took two letters before PE dropped the case. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

on a side note to this OP
the BB has no relevancy on private land , so in actual fact you need him to cite the laws that do apply , which is the EA 2010 and get the landowner to drop this case asap, otherwise bring an action under the EA 2010 as a counter measure
the BB scheme doesnt apply on private land , but the laws of the land do , in this case the EA 2010 , SO USE IT !
its not a summons either , its a small claim under the small claims procedure, or an MCOL
hope he gets all the help he needs , and beats them costing them money
no doubt about it , if they dont wish to be called names like bullies etc , then stop pursuing those who are old , infirm or have protected characteristics under the EA 2010

Are you sure this company has any of that? When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

they clearly have none , which is why I never understand why they think sending solicitors and barristers in is the solution, they need to clean up their act, as do almost all the rest , then they wouldnt get the flack they do
ie - remove the planks from their own eyes before they remove the splinters from somebody elses
remove the cause , and you remove the effect0 -
remove the cause , and you remove the effect
Yep remove the DVLA, and you remove the parking companies, works for meWhen posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.

Why are we at all surprised?
I can't imagine for a moment that PE would want a case such as this to "cause immense damage to [their] reputation" which it surely would so one wonders why they persist?
Perhaps the hired guns at Hill Dickinson would care to comment?
... No. Thought as muchMy very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
.... and just when you think that these PPC's cannot get any worse!
Pond life have more ethics than this bunch. The word "gullible" isn't in the dictionaryTickets: 19 [cancelled: 18, paid: 0, pending: 1]
PPC Appeals: 8 [accepted: 2, rejected: 5, pending: 1]

Yes, parking eye get very upset when you mention this and mse don't like it.
I wouldn't want parking eye to be associated with the term scumbag on this site any more than is absolutely necessary0 -
that old saying comes to mind , if it looks like a duck , quacks like a duck , and swims like a duck , .......................................... guess what
calling it a bird , avian or an ex-dinosaur doesnt make any difference , its a duck !0 -
Hi to all.Thankyou so much for your comments and advise.it's clear what you all think.I am seething over this and i am one of those that never have paid a fine to these companies and never will. It's an invoice and nothing more. And yes they are scumbags and bullies. This case so far was handled by a family member and after communicating with the court with copies of blue badge, letters of hospital admittance/discharge dates, etc, parking eye still want him to cough up £50 and by doing that he also would be admitting he was in the wrong, that to me is intimidation and bullying.I say tell them to get knotted, let it go to court and let them have the bad press.the comments to get some legal representation is a good plan.we were taken by surprise with the court summons as the original letter got thrown away with the junk mail.after over a month in hospital you can imagine the pile of rubbish that gets spewed through you letter box.0
