Hello, I just wanted to post this story for everyone to read and it is about a court summons from parking eye to an elderly blue badge holder.
This man has a heart condition and was given an appointment to see a cardiologist at a walk in centre in coventry.his carer and driver took him to see the cardiologist at the appointed time and as per instructions was to inform the receptionist/security that he is a blue badge holder and gave the registration so they could cancel the car off the system.the doctor took a look at this gentleman and immediately rang around to get him a bed at the hospital, where he stayed for over a month.the receptionist did not remove his reg off the system and sent him a request for £70 or he would face a court.he never got the letters because of being in hospital and parking eye issued him with a court summons.our defence has gone in stating that he is a blue badge holder and so he did not need a ticket.they say he ignored all there letters and had he told them he was a blue badge holder they would not have incurred costs to pursue him.they now say that if he gives them £50 they will drop the case and if not they are convinced the judge will find in their favour and sting him for the full cost, which is about £130.we are in the process of getting help from the royal british legion as this man is a member of the airbourne division.Parking eye are scumbags and are bullying and stressing an disabled man with a bad heart, who has done nothing wrong and we as his friend want as much publicity as possible so that everyone knows what this shambolic and nasty company are doing.any advise or help would be appreciated.Thanks.

Have you had help with this from any posters here? Have you read the parking pranksters guides on how to win a parking eye court claim? You need to argue this on as many points of law you can. When posting a parking issue on MSE do not reveal any information that may enable PPCs to identify you. They DO monitor the forum.
We don't need the following to help you.
Name, Address, PCN Number, Exact Date Of Incident, Date On Invoice, Reg Number, Vehicle Picture, The Time You Entered & Left Car Park, Or The Amount of Time You Overstayed.

I would highly recommend asking for help. Start with Parking Prankster who even if he can't help he will be able to recommend someone who can.
So, Parking Eye don't like being called rule breaking bullies ?
> Blue badge holder ticketed AGAINST BPA rules - rule breakers ( TICK )
> Take someone to court who couldn't possibly have received the letters - bullies ( TICK )
Just shows what an immoral business they run.
PARKING EYE - if you don't like the above statements, rather than getting your solicitors to write a bullying letter to MSE you can PM me and I will give you my personal details and then you can get the letter sent to me. Of course bullies rarely have the guts to stand up !"The darkest places in hell are reserved for those who maintain their neutrality in times of moral crisis." - Dante Alighieri0 -
Did he give the vehicles details and details of blue badge to the receptionist. ? Can anyone else verify this ? If so it is the failure of the receptionist that has caused the issuing of a ticket .
Parking Eye have made no loss
The fact that he never contacted PE is irrelevant , he has every right to ignore whatever he wishes , and this most certainly does not create any liability to cover their costs through a failure of their own system/procedure . However he even has a justifiable reason for not contacting them anyway .
Your initial point of call must be the medical centre ( as high up as possible ) who can get this cancelled , even at this stage no matter what they or PE say .
It may be worth seeing what defence you submitted as I guess it will need beefing up0 -
Hi coventrian, you will get lots of help on here. Have you taken the matter up with the commissioners of the WIC.
Unfortunately, the owners of this site don't like phrases like this...Parking eye are scumbags and are bullyingIllegitimi non carborundum:)0 -
I thought Parking Eye were market leaders in consumer care ?0

Oh dear, maybe, just maybe you could forgive them up to the point they became aware of this gentlemen's circumstances. However to carry on the persecution after is absolutely disgraceful.
It must take a special type of person to carry on with a case like this rather then to do the right thing and drop it! I suppose we may even be forgiven for calling them nasty names in situations like this?0 -
Can you send me your location please

When this is resolved please report Mrs Ledson to the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
This type of behaviour needs stopping and action can only be taken if people make complaints.0
