    Hi there
Can't offer any specific advice, but can I suggest that you make sure that any financial companies know that you have separated, so that he doesn't take out any joint loans with a forged signature from you eg.

Some people do shocking things when they split up so be aware of this.

    Good luck with getting sorted

Today it's really sunk in now that I'm free. In the relationship there were always a few good days in between the bad. Being well over the week and no crying, pretending to be asleep, abusive language, no sleeping due to being upset, no broken promises, no drunks to put up with etc etc it is bliss. Never knew it would be so good.so much happier, even if cramped under a roof with 7 other people.

Still waiting on replies from housing, income support and tax credits - hopefully some news this week. Need to speak to the boss as well, don't think I'll be returning to work for at least 6 weeks but I'm thinking off returning to shop work (use to be a manager) think will be easier with the children. Constantly thinking about the future, trying to think the best route to take.

Acquired fridge freezer for free, not the best in the world but good to start me off. Money saving towards that can go elsewhere until I'm ready to replace. Also got bedding and that for my bedding. Slowly getting to tick things off my list. Should have basic set up by the time I get a house.

Struggling how to budget money this week, maternity ends soon and don't know when tax credits will kick in. Paid 2weeks board incase no money next week and not sure how to manage rest. Whether to put two weeks bill money in too? Keep money in purse or still pop in savings? Decisions decisions!

Things been ok with ex since spilt. Been very polite etc had the kids a couple off times. Even bathed them before bringing them back today (could never egg him to do that) plus he's actually spending time with them now, not just disappearing to pub. Hopefully it will continue.

Got my fingers crossed may off found a house, will see tomorrow. A house popped up on the ready now homes and I emailed within the house (was outside calling hours) so if I'm lucky I'll be first in the running when they open tomorrow. Nice area, good size and with gardens :-) if not there be more, but it would be nice.

Still lots off things to source but will get there in time x

    Hi Jojo,

You see, things have a habit of just falling into place :) keep with it, it's still early days but you already seem much happier and hopefully you'll be in with a shout for that house!

Good to see he is acting better too, just don't get sucked into any discussion about him changing though... Maybe given time he will but for the moment this can be a learning curve for him too :)

    Good luck,

Don't worry there's no going back for me, there's no love left and I will never allow myself to go through that one more time. Even if this has shocked him into a change, there's always going to be a birthday party or special event etc etc but to be truthful I think he'll just slip back inti it as he always does x

Well I didn't get that house but have possible been offered another. I have to go in Friday and have a interview, but there is a three bed house available and I'm being considered for. My application hasn't even gone through yet (apparently there is a backlog off 5 weeks) but this other section are going to house me ASAP (because I keep applying for all the available nows I think) so I should have somewhere in the next four weeks. Roll on Friday!!

Had my interview today and all went well. They are happy that I can afford the property and offered me a 3 bedroom house. The keys get handed in on Sunday and it will take appoix four weeks until it's ready. They have said I will get some money towards decorating and £50 voucher towards furniture from local 2nd store type place.

So four weeks to get as much sorted as possible :-)

So surprised as things moving so fastly, been extremely lucky, my housing application form not even been processed and managed to get a house. Let's hope the luck stays with me
