Good idea keeping the form in, a place to live totally separate of your work would be good...then if the pub closed or whatever, you'd still have somewhere to live....plus you can get away from work too!
Hopefully next week you'll start getting some results to all your hard work so far and ppeople will start getting back to you.PAYDBX 2016 #55 100% paid! :j Officially bad debt free...don't count my mortgage.
Now to start saving...it's a whole new world!!0 -
Income support and tax credit forms arrived, filled out and popped in post.
Have applied for healthy start vouchers today, so awaiting on form.
Need to find another £10 for little ones tap shoes. Sister has offered to pay for cardigan and then that's everything.
I'm in work today as boss desperately needed someone. Really not in right frame off mind but if it helps him out (other manager on hol!)
Ex wants to meet up and chat at 5. Guessing wants to sort out seeing kids etc Also there's the holiday in August, need to decide what's happening with that, whether he or me is taking it.
Be nice to hear something about housing form so I can start bidding but I think that's going to be at least a week.
It's quite hard staying at my sisters but I'll have to grin and bear it. Love my sister but with me being mse converted, it's so hard seeing all the food they buy just to throw away! There freezer cupboards and fridge all busting and they shop every two days on top. I keep trying to make tea with all the leftovers (which is better choice than my full shop lol) but they still keep buying more lol I think I amaze them with what meals I make from their store lolDebt Remaing £315 :jBreath out the past, Breath in the futureBig Dreams Start Small0 -
Ok so sorted everything out with ex (hopefully) I've agreed he can have the holiday so his step daughter can go, hopefully I may be able to get some pennies for my spot, hopefully. Put towards new home. Agreed on main thence payments etc, starts this weekend.
I've cancelled direct debits from bank for flat and passed over, so only loan and c/c min payments going out and £10 trust fund (need to sort something for youngest dd)
So I'm allowing what money left from wages to get some small bits each week for house and the rest save save save to put towards decoration and large items. My list is wrote in order off need so I'll have no need for c/c's. I refuse to put anymore on that thing. Once I'm settled will be back to reducing debts!!
Was thinking off putting £5 a week on asda card as well for food shop so don't have to worry about first food shop.
Anyone else got any handy tips, much appreciated xxxxxDebt Remaing £315 :jBreath out the past, Breath in the futureBig Dreams Start Small0 -
Hi,
Dunno if you have one but a Nectar card is handy too, plus when you first start looking around it's quite easy to rack up £20 in points although it can take perhaps a month or so to come through...
Not much but when you don't have much to begin with then everything is a bonus!
Good luck

Well we've decided to cancel holiday, so I've got £600 coming and he's having rest to help him start out on his own flat.
Big boost, that's the decorating, carpets, curtain poles and curtains all sorted. A nice clean canvas :-) big bonus I can get it right first time.Debt Remaing £315 :jBreath out the past, Breath in the futureBig Dreams Start Small0 -
Oh I wish the council would sort out my application :-( it just be nice to be able to know my brand and be able to bid on property's, not expecting to get somewhere straight away but being able to bid would let me know how far down the list I am.
Oh the bright side, got everything I need for the bathroom. Was walking round town pricing everything up getting the cheapest possible so I could get more stuff with my budget. With pennies saved managed to get some decor items, make the place more homely. Will need some bigger items for the bathroom but can't buy until i know size off bathroom etc x
Cm comes through soon so will start on kitchen next xDebt Remaing £315 :jBreath out the past, Breath in the futureBig Dreams Start Small0 -
fingers crossed it won't be long now.
glad you got the money for the holiday back, will be a nice little head start for the house stuff.
have you tried your local freecycle website for decorating stuff?
I've just given away some paint I no longer needed. worth a try? at least if it's not right you haven't paid for it. if you got say, white or a pale colour you could even mix with a tester pot to get the colour you wanted?
being nosey, what "big" things would you need for a bathroom?
take care, good luck, stay strongLIVE SIMPLY * GIVE MORE * EXPECT LESS * BE THANKFUL0 -
Well not exactly big, mirror cabinet possible shelf storage. There just bigger than odd bits. Don't have much storage Plus may not need them, have to see when I get a house.
Freecyle sites near me so far have nothing but keep browing. Been some good stuff on Facebook but again don't have much storage. Have some white paint and magnolia paint at the pub I can use. Have no idea what condition house will be in, so will leave buying anything until I get to view something. I am picking free bits here and there - just choosing where I want to spend the pennies. I am very good at living on nothing, so should have a fair chunk off money where the times comes.

Just rung and wanted to wish u all the best with the move and new start. I can't offer any proper advice but was in a similar position a few years ago. Me and my daughters father split I left our home and moved to a rented house without telling him.
I've now met someone new and married and have recently had a baby. I'm much happier than i was back then and I hope it all works out as well for you and your children.Still here..... but working on that!0 -
