Neighbours parking on drive and across drive.

I'd be tempted to break the window, take the hand brake off and move it onto double yellow... (don't do this!)
Is it a small car? If so, could you get some strong friends to bounce the car onto double yellow, then call the traffic warden?
Its not difficult to bounce a car out the way regardless of size, all you need is 4 people with decent rhythm 6 is easier but manageable with 4, get a good bounce going, then shove in the direction you want the car to move.
I managed to shift a 7 series with 3 mates, and none of us are body builders, convenient that there was a clamp and tow zone not far away. I did laugh when the car owner was calling the police about his stolen car :beer:0 -
The fact is there is very little you can do about selfish parking apart from reporting it to the authorities. If you cannot drive in across a dropped kerb the obstruction is for the local council to resolve. If you cannot leave a property it is for the police. Neither likes to do something about the problem do if they will not the best thing is to photograph the obstructing car and its registration and if they do it several times keep reporting it explaining that you have evidence of previous failures to enforce. You could also complain to your councillor.
Other measures of a proactive nature are potentially illegal for all sorts of reasons, however satisfying they may seem.Few people are capable of expressing with equanimity opinions which differ from the prejudices of their social environment. Most people are incapable of forming such opinions.0 -

concerning the altercation you had the other day - what was the reason the driver gave for parking in your drive?0 -
Just to update to the question they had half parked accross my drive. They didnt give a reason just abuse.
I do not want to give too much information as to exactly where I live due to the not very nice nature of the people involved.
I have put a chain accross my drive so am hopeful it may be sucessful.0 -

I hope the chain works.0 -
Reminds me of someone, a tenant, who had a dedicated car parking space in the basement of their flat who found that a commuter parked there each day. They then put a chain/padlock on their space to protect it - the person parking there without authority then used bolt cutters....0

Have you had any success with the chain?Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Yes.
Just a quick update.
I have secured my drive.
It appears to have worked.
Although I was informed by a friendly neighbour that others had told friends and family to park on my front cause "he wont do anything".
To be honest I am amazed how standing up for yourself does pay dividends.
I have had people parking accross the front but have taken to taping a message on the windows.
Still get comments and shouting but have ridden above it.
