Well done for standing up for yourself!0 -
Another update.
Today I chained the entry and came home to find it missing.
It appears to have been removed.
I have put my bins in anticiaption of tomorrow.

Oh dear. Worth reporting as criminal damage possibly? Gets it on record. Will be useful if you need an injunction.0

Hang on you have put a chain over your drive and someones cut it off? Thats criminal damage at least.0 -
That happened to us once upon a time when I was in high school. My Dad solved the problem by letting one of car tyres down. Following day, Dad was driving us to school, and we saw the car parked up on the side of the road - it had a flat tyre!!! The driver obviously had to walk home and it was in the mid 80's - so no mobile phones :T0

Only problem with that is you could kill someone if you think of the potential after-math..0 -
I have left my bins in the drive.
Not sure how the chain was removed.
I am sure I may never find out.
I shall be shopping for a new one this weekend.

Maybe put a video camera trained on your chain and just have it on when you're out. If it happens again you'll see who it is. Take the footage to the police.0

Oh and report the one that's gone missing to the police because then it will be recorded and if it happens again it won't be treated as a one off0
-
Thanks for the advice.
Have reported and have an incident number.
