And get one of those invisible marker pens (the ones that show up under ultra violet light) and put your name and postcode on the new chain, so if it is taken and recovered it can be identified as definitely yours.0 -
I'd coat the new chain anti burglar paint. Make sure you wear gloves thoughTry to be a rainbow in someone's cloud.0

Why coat it in that paint? Surely you are going to want to move it!0

So did someone take your chain down and park in your drive???
I would pretend to be out and wait for them to park there, then block the exit with anything and everything and hold their car ransom muwhahaha0 -

I think you might be on shaky legal ground there - would be very easy for a pedestrian (especially a child) or an animal to accidentally touch it and get marked by it. AFAIK it's not recommended for use at under 2 metres height.Let's settle this like gentlemen: armed with heavy sticks
On a rotating plate, with spikes like Flash Gordon
And you're Peter Duncan; I gave you fair warning0 -
Any update?:)0

Bins have been moved when I am out.
Not sure but the drive did have trye marks on.
I am off for a few days so intend to have a stake out.
I intend to park car at friends and see who does what.
Will see what happens.

Why don't you just leave your car across the drive for a few days.Nothing is more damaging to the adventurous spirit within a man than a secure future. - Alex Supertramp0

It just beggars belief that people park on your drive! There's a huge difference between this and half-covering someone's dropped kerb when parking on the road.
Is there any way you can put a sign up at the drive entrance saying something like "Private drive - parking for residents of no. 8 only" or similar? As you're renting, not sure if you have anywhere to fix a sign to without causing damage?
Like the idea above - next time someone parks on your drive, park on the drive, behind them (between them and the road) so they can't get out. Idiots.0
