No one knows who the car belongs to as it is covering approx half the drive.
Irritating, not going out to day but this is common for a Sunday.
I have put a polite note on the window asking for the driver not to block me in again.
Usually they get thrown in t the front garden.
Faith.
If they've blocked you in you can call the police.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
One of my neighbours visitors parked in my drive once. I parked right behind their car and refused to move it for 8 hours. None ever parked in my space again.
And if they come to your door to complain just say that you have had a couple of beers and that you refuse to drink and drive under ANY circumstancesGather ye rosebuds while ye may0 -
Put a clamp on them and then deny all knowledge.0

You must live in a rough old area. Parking is very tight round here, but no one would ever dream of acting like your neighbours.
My old town centre employer used to get idiots park and go shopping despite clear signs, so we just blocked them in and didn't answer the back door when they returned.
Difficult one, and it all depends how militant you are willing to be to protect your rights. If all you can want to do is moan about them on here then it will never stop. If you are willing to fight back, then...Been away for a while.0 -
I was once blocked in my drive. I was 8 1/2 months pregnant. I had no idea whose car it was. I rang the council who said that it was nothing to do with them despite them being parked over my dropped kerb. I then rang the police who again were not interested. They said that the car was not stolen and must be a visitor to one of the neighbours and to knock the doors and ask them to move. Knocked a few doors no answer. So I had to go to work on the train which was over a mile walk each way. Not fun for a very pregnant lady. I was furious!0

If your polite notes aren't helping, attach them to the windscreen with parcel tape next time.
Once they've had to remove the residue a couple of times they'll certainly think twice. It's unlikely they'll be knocking on your door asking you to use something less sticky next time! And if they do, it's your change to tell them where to go... and park.3.9kWp solar PV installed 21 Sept 2011, due S and 42° roof.

Exactly.
There are plenty of simple and effective things to do to incentivise people to change their behaviour. It just takes a bit of balls and a thick skin..0 -
It may be worth parking over the end of your own drive rather than actually parking on it, that way at least they can't block you in.
Hopefully you get it sorted really soon there's nothing worse than being unhappy at home due to neighbours. X0 -
Or buy a really cheap car, then get a hammer and roughen up the panels at the front and sides.
Then leave a note on the car saying
"just got my car back on the road, so I'll be needing to access the driveway, I'm not a very good driver and tend to hit things, so it would be appreciated if you leave me plenty of space"
This also leaves open the option of simply driving into the car blocking you, and denying all knowledge, after all the car was a wreck beforehand, hour can they prove it was you? (This is not recommended)Unless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%0 -
Another one here who blocked someone in for hours who parked in their drive...
Annoyingly, my neighbour went out after 5 hours, so the drive stealer managed to manouever his car out and had the gall to leave an anonymous note on my car threatening me that if I ever blocked them in again they wouldn't be so careful getting out of the space.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
