    Hello Tributes.....

Oooooh sorry for the lack of check in for the last TWO DAYS! I have been at work last night and about to get ready to go again in the next hour. It was just manic last night so it was difficult to write anything and when I did I accidentally kicked the cable out of the back of my computers hard drive and lost everything - with no time to retype... Grr!

So another two days of SFD's... which means I think I have 5 in a row so far. Might stretch this until tomorrow with a full6 in a row but I am slowly scrapping pennies together... 50p found = broccoli from Tesco...

Then £3.50 in vouchers and I am not sure if I should keep it and put it towards my £5 and get something special - not sure what mate iTunes vouchers but we will see....

£2.97 in my current account to last Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday - can it be done! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:... I think that's celery, a cauliflower and a bag of kale perhaps....I know how to live!:rotfl:

SO I have yet to read through all the posts and will do that tonight. On again until 2300 and got next sunday on OT as well with a hopeful two more for the weekend of the 5th....

Right... hugs to all. Today I am grateful for dry weather to get to work, yummy food that I bring to work, the ability to earn money on OT and my health...

    Onwards and Upwards!!

  • popping in!

Last 2 days just bought tobacco using some money OH's parents sent to him!!!! (its ok -he's not 13 getting pocket money!!) :)

But no money spent from my account since last saturday!!!! yay!!!

Today I am grateful for my stockpile - i know now why i do it! The stockpile supports us during times when things get super rough! I know you say not to stockpile NSK but OH's uncertainty of jobs as I've experienced over the past few years has taught me to make hay while the sun is shining!!

So - stockpile survival will take us to payday and beyond, a month of no wages from his side is making me a bit twitchy. We'll say no more!! :)

But another thing I'm grateful for is restraint for no spending on credit cards despite being tight no money this month!!! Yay!!!

hope everyone is having a lovely if damp bank holiday!

    Hi all...

Had a lazy 3 days - and as is often the way when i get a decent break - i feel run down, sore throat etc... i guess it all catches up with me. Managed a gym session today and a SFD but the weekend was a write off. Just about to have a long soak in the bath!

Got paid on Saturday - early as it was a BH and cash being sorted into envelopes for the next month. Only working a 3 day week this week, so that will be nice - and am only in 2 days next week! Hoorah! I could get used to this haha!

    :)

    Afternoon all,

Quick check in as I'm on a decluttering mission this afternoon.

Spend day as bought beer to say thank you to family for saving me so much money, in various ways, over the past month (I think without them I'd be at least £200 worse off!)

When in Asd4 I discovered they've started selling pre chopped bags of mixed veg and spices needed for basic meals. I scoffed at the bolognese one, thinking who doesn't make bolognese from scratch, even I do it and I make nothing from scratch :rotfl: But then I discovered one for veg curry and it looks gorgeous. It contains onions, potato, cauliflower, green beans and spices and you just add water, a stock cube and a tin of tomatoes. So I took back my scoff and bought one. It says serves two so if it does it'll be a nice cheap veg packed meal for me two days this week :)

I also bought raspberries, which are tasteless. I'm considering calling to complain. Anyone done this with Asd4 before?

    See you later

That curry sounds lush - I might look for that the next time I'm in Asda. Are they with the veg??

Yes in the veg aisle and the section with the pre chopped veg and stuffed mushrooms etc. I'll let you know what it's like.

I usually pinpoint the people who do it every month and subsequently waste fresh food or never know what they have - and just keep buying. You are a prepper. This is different. And good.

    Okay.. lets get precise here...

I have £2.97 in my current account.
    I have £2.13 in cash.

    Total = £5.10

I will be having a "hoke" around my room when I get home as well for more pennies. But this is kinda fun for me ( loser ). I have plenty of noms in the house, just need a few fresh ingredients. And decided I do not want to spend my vouchers or money card..

    (Ginger = 27p, Flat leaf parsley = 80p, Celery = 50p, Brown Onions x 2 = 33p, 6 Bananas = 73p, Grapefuirt 4 pack = £1.40, Broccoli x 2 = 98p = TOTAL = £5.01 )...:T:T:T

Now then... do I do a split payment or be a complete loser and go put £2.13 in my account so I can pay altogether. Nahhhh I think split payment...:rotfl: (bananas and grapfruit in cash, the rest on the debit card - simples).. I LOVE PENNY COUNTING!!!

    thanks NSK! :rotfl:

I do love a bit of stealth prepping! :) i shall add you to my apocalypse companion list!!!! :D Remember alcohol, tobacco and medicines - these run out first and can be vital bargaining tools!!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Isn't it always the way though - stop being able to stockpile and suddenly everything I want is on offer!!!!!!!!! Doh!

    Resist the temptation............
