Ok so this week has been a bust in all but SFDs and my Bcard statement. My estimated interest was £33.33, actual interest was £29.47! Next month’s estimated interest is £24.27 but it should be less than that after I have made an overpayment. Back in August 2012 I was paying £200 a month in interest and it’s been coming down steadily since, I have now broken the £30 a month barrier. I am not happy to be paying interest at all, but I can see a small chink of light at the end of the tunnel.

I worked last Saturday night and somehow hurt my eye, so I took the next two nights off ( annoyed that I have lost two nights pay, but I have picked up another extra so I will only be one shift down). Therefore Saturday, Sunday, Monday and Tuesday were all SFD.

Wednesday was an epic fail, I paid for a day bus ticket, paid for my prescription. I then went to my storage facility to get my Tracey Anderson fitness DVD, but decided I needed Jillian Michaels Killer buns and thighs, so I walked back into the city and went to HMV and bought another Tracey Anderson DVD and the Jillian Michaels DVD which came to £10.98, both DVD’s would have cost me £14.95 (also 5p short for free delivery) on Amaazon, when did Amaazon stop being so cheap, so competitive, and stop being the go to place for cheap books and DVDs? I bought some slow cooker books a few months ago from The W*rks which were cheaper than Amaazon. The high street cheaper than online, is that even legal?

It was the afternoon and by this time I was starving and spent £6.67 in Mds.
I then went to catch my train to London for my course (separately budgeted for). I was going to eat on the train so put my Mds in my rucksack and guess what a third of my milkshake spilt in my rucksack. I chucked the rucksack away as luckily I had another bigger rucksack with me (which is falling to pieces and should have been chucked a while ago but being MSE and all I kept it, just as well) The now binned rucksack I only bought in December, it didn’t close properly and I had to keep checking that nothing had fallen out of it so, it is what it is, still a loss but it won’t be sadly missed. I will buy a new ruck sack from next month’s budget.

Therefore I am over my food budget by £16.15. I have 3 days worth of food and snacks in the house, but nothing appropriate to take to work. I have £7.18 in my purse and £10:60 in my bank account, so I may get a few bits today for the next three shifts I have before payday.

Oh and I did level 1 of the Jillian Michaels...should have stretched first!

I won't be checking in now until Friday/Saturday due to a very busy half term week coming up. See you just before the new challenge.

Disappeared for a little while as was spending lots... Bad, I know. Was back at uni and kept forgetting to take water with me so buying drinks from the cafe and then buying chocolate as well. Had a few days away on a work trip and ended up going out for dinner and drinks, neither of which were budgeted for.

However, didn't leave the house today so SFD number 7 at last! Hopefully can get back on track for the rest of the month.

    Evening all

SFD number 13, quite amazingly as I've been to visit family and been out all day but luckily was treated all day :). Going to buy them some beers tomorrow as need to spend on milk anyway.

Hoping to have a good half term week. I've booked exercise classes everyday so hoping the gym is going to keep me busy without spending money!

    Evening All,

Not an SFD for me today, popped down the local shop for a few bits, picked up a reduced chicken which will make a ton of meals. DD went off with my cousin and her partner just after lunch, they have lots of things planned with her for today and tomorrow, whilst I'm at work. I spent the afternoon digging my auntie's garden, and managed to clear another big space and have now planted all carrots and some rhubarb I was given.

Ex-husband cancelled our meal tonite, for which I am eternally grateful! Just didn't feel like it, although to be honest, I never feel like going out these days, am more than happy pottering around the house on my own!

    Anyhoo, scores so far:
    SFD - 16/15
    Groceries - £69.97/£80
    Misc - £28.68/£40
    Petrol - £15/£15
    Exercise - 7/20
    Daily check in - 24/31 :(

Have a lovely bank holiday xx

Another SFD. Lovely gardening day bright but not too hot. Managed a couple of tricky tasks without hurting myself but very tired. Then I put the washing on the line and made it rain.

    Morning folks :D

I had a lovely time at the wedding I was at yesterday. I shamed myself by crying through the vows though :D Only spent £4.40 (on two soft drinks though, jings what a price!) so my budget hasn't taken too much of a hit.

Today will be a SFD apart from some food things which I don't count as they're budgeted for. I also have some shoes to return to a shop which is a fair trek from my office so that'll help with the exercise. Have a lovely day all!

Hi everyone, hope all is well.

Magicat-I agree, if it's meant to be it will be or something better is on the horizon:)

FMESS-Well done! It's a great feeling when you hit the next barrier :T

MrsGSR-who made the pushchair -Ferrari  Please don't bow out, you can still post :)

Sainnielaz-very wise not to go there again with ex! I did came away worse than I was before. I gained my beautiful son, but I would have given my younger self a good talking too, if I could have gone back in time :rotfl: I also know what you mean about preferring to be in. That has been me recently too!

Well I have spent. I owed my son his birthday money which was 40.00 so got him a tablet although as I had 21.00 in vouchers, i have not spent a much-it was 57.00 after vouchers and £17.00 after the 40.00 is taken away. I also bought a beautiful maxi dress from everything five pounds. My Asda shop I will have coming 3 days early-today. That's because I need stuff for Ds's party tomorrow, so I just did the whole shop. I will need to curb the spending big time as including my gas and leccy bill, I want to keep my credit card bill below £700.00. This is my everyday spending and includes the grocery monthly shop too and DS's party stuff.

My eldest son got his car which he is very happy with and I have mentioned the word rent! As much as I want to support him to make a success of his business, I feel this isn't appreciated. Running a house for the 5 of us is not easy, so he has to contribute from June.

Well I'm off this week from work to spend time with my little one-gosh I've mentioned all three sons in this post, lol. I hope everyone has a good day. Tried to do some excersise this morning and felt sick so stopped :( Will try again a bit later.

    Have a good day :)

Gosh it's quiet in here. Hope you are all out enjoying the sunshine (commiserations for those of you who have to work - I have worked Christmas Day and every other holiday in the past - the one job where I got Bank Holidays, we didn't get paid when I first started it).

Declaring another NSD (no 20) and a quiet day, today. Getting to the bathroom is a struggle and am so glad I brought a banana upstairs yeaterday. Choosing to see it as a positive sign - I did work as hard as I thought I did yesterday, so will sit here with my 4 glasses of water (one had juice and one sugar free cordial, now they just mean less trips to top them up), books, laptop and embroidery (that's probably why my arms ache so much, using very fine grade aida) for as long as it takes.

Will have to get up at some point. gave DS3 and his gf breaded fish and chips yesterday (not a regular item but ys'd and thought 'nice little treat') and asked if they wanted a 'dinner' today (have a hunk of bargain roast beef I originally bought for Easter). They chorused that it was entirely up to me and they weren't bothered.

Cue me waking up (that would be the involuntary groans, as I tried to move across the bed) and DS3 was in here asking about the 'dinner' - I didn't take the meat out. Sent him downstairs to get chicken breasts out of the freezer (will defrost quicker and can pop in microwave to complete defrosting). Told him to take out 3 and he asked for 4 (was most upset that I hadn't cooked the 4th fish yesterday so he could have 2). Said he could take out the packet and I would tandoori any extras for another time (also got him to refill all the water cups -had only just taken my pills).

So dinner will be late, it may even be a 'tea'. I may even hand out further instructions, in stages. One thing you can guarantee with my sons - they never starve. When they were young and I occasionally was so ill I dragged myself to bed for half a day, we might have run out of clean plates when I got up again but they had all found things to eat.

Must rest as I will be really upset if I can't manage the walk to my appointments the next 2 days - should be fine, not hurting any longer, just residual aching (hey who knew I still had muscles). Progress tributes.
