    OOOOOH MY! The excitement.

    Sorry me again.

I need rice milk and vegan margarine which I could not carry home last night...
I have coupons to the amount of 55p off the milk.
The milk is usually £1.39 EACH and are now on offer @ 3 for £3.
    Which makes my purchase £2.45

I have a coupons off Vitalite to the tune of 30p
    The Vitalie is usually £1.10.
    Which makes my purchase 80p.

Together I will have to pay £3.25 BUT with my price promise voucher of £2.61 I only pay 64p.

    :T:T:T:T

Okay, this gets me excited!! Hurrah for coupons :T:T:T

Let us know how the nut loaf turns out Kat. I'll definitely try it out...one day when I find the time!! Time, where does it go? So now we're on Thursday and I'm just about to start a night shift. When I get home tomorrow I'll have a little sleep and then my parents are arriving less than 24 hours later! Help, I need longer than that to sort my flat out!! Well, I don't really, but I have loads to do!

Still not spent any money since last weekend so I think I'm on SFD number 7 :) Will do a supermarket visit tomorrow though to stock up, but generally my spends are confined to food shopping which is good.

I got a message from someone I sold something to on ebay on 2 February to say she's not received it - 3 months later! I guess I'll have to refund her and try and claim through Royal Mail but I'll need to check deadlines etc as I seem to remember soothing about a 3 month cut off.

Enjoy your Thursday night everyone...I'm off to earn some money :)

    Another NSD.

DS3 had an exam so went to get rubbish and plates from his room and finish off the 5 minutes of painting that got missed.

Did 3 bucket loads of weeding, chopped compfrey onto top of compost (speeds it up and it was falling over from the weight of the rain - will be back to full height in a couple of weeks).

Spent a long time cleaning paint trays and rollers outside. cooked more fish/ wedges/ peas and fennel and assembled lasagne whilst waiting. Put it in to cook while I ate. DS3 back early (was going to come back on last bus 11.30pm) so I have allowed him back in his room but warned him about the paint (should have had plenty of time but that one patch has been done 4 times and I am so fed up of it).

Need to do exercises but may do ceiling in small bedroom - such a little bit left to do, but it's holding up so much. May leave it, lots of other things I can be getting on with - really want to walk instead of using bus tomorrow and would hate it if I couldn't because of doing 10-15 minutes painting now.

Spend day today...started out as NSD...but bawled my eyes out today over a work issue and went and got Wotsits and Beer to console myself! :o

I was fine until a chap in work called me up to ask what was wrong, and he was so nice I started crying all over again...like a right emotional wally!!!

I put it down to lack of sleep due to my back, hormones and the fact that some people in work do nowt more than cover their a$$es and dress it up as "supporting the team"!!! :o

    Evening Tributes!

Sorry for not checking in yesterday - I had a real slide in mood - don't even know why... rainy day maybe? Anyhow - much brighter today...

I did however go out and buy some salad stuff and fresh veg and fruit - I couldn't face meal after meal of rice and tuna anymore haha!!! Signatures updated. Need to get in some more SFD's as stuck on 5 still... Despite blues, I forced myself to the gym - thus claiming 3/12 sessions :D

Think I'll be clocking up a few more hours overtime too this month which is brilliant... I sorted out my ISA today and can now scoop excess funds into there - not to be touched!

Cooking some food now to take for lunch tomorrow... soya burgers and salad. Yum!!! Not a tuna fish in sight!!!

    Evening All,

No SFD for me as planned, I had run out of potato, apples and onions! Only £2.14 spent tho.

Avon mtg was a big waste of time, area manager just took most of my territory off me (as it's a high street) and added one street that I have been doing anyway. Told me they will look at it again in 3 campaigns time, then said I should put books thro every door, unless they have told me face to face that they don't want one. Explained that I had put a slip with each book, asking people to tick a box if they didn't want a book, but she said I should ignore what they have written and just keep dropping books off!! Looks like I'm going to be getting told off a fair bit!!

Anyhoo, DD has just woken up so totals so far:
    SFD - 4/15
    Groceries - £19.30/£80
    Misc - £11.91/£40
    Petrol - £0/£15
    Exercise - 0/20
    Daily check in - 8/31

    Have a good one xxx

I have used spareroom to find rooms a few times to live in over the last few years with no hassle. I knew on meeting the person whether I was interested in living there. I have been really friendly with some housemates and not so much with others.

A lot of spending for me this week just Fathers day present left to buy at the weekend and some serious kit shopping for my travels planned too - am going to try stuff out in the shops at the weekend have my eye on a tablet, a new camera, rucksack, sleeping bag, decent trekking mattress and compressible pillow. Will then be looking out for the best deals online don't think I'm racking up many NSDs this month!
We bought my Nan whos 86 a DS to play games on. How about clubbing together with the family for a tablet or similar to play games on etc or would than not interest her (preloaded with favourite films too)? Digital picture frame preloaded with pictures, "this is your life" type book with memories of her lifetime in it. A jar with different treats written on pretty pieces of paper that you will do with her eg trip to the garden centre, picnic in the park, feed the ducks. Often older people see to benefit more from time :)
Have discovered a great flat bread recipe I've tried tonight - equal parts SR flour and natural yoghurt, pinch salt. Approx 100gr flour/100 ml yoghurt makes four decent size flat breads dry fried for 2 mins either side. I added garam masala, minced garlic and fennel seed to make them naan breadesque - very tasty!
Need to update figures.... happy Friday all!

I chose to forfeit a NSD today, but twas indeed well worth it!

I had to go to the PO - and pay for on street parking. Usually I park a little way away and walk, but was pushed for time today. So, having paid up, I popped into the ch shops. Now I know kat told us to avoid all bargainous/musthaves. But...(justification alert) it tied in with my present quest - thanks oldestgnome for the father's day reminder! And dd's got another party too! I got dd a book from the ones she is collecting - for 40p; and a princess pencil case full of Hello Kitty felttips plus a shell necklace for her little friend for £1.

Was it worth frittering a NSD for £1.40. Yes indeedy!

Also had a day off exercise, which my body is most grateful for.

Off to bed to read a book. Nighty night all.

    Evening all,

NSK I love couponing. Occasionally, I manage to get items completely free or once I got it so that they ended up owing me money :) Unfortunately, its never to the extent of Extreme Couponing but I do enjoy the thrill of it :T

Today was SFD number 4 :j and I did my last tutoring session with one pupil, so I am :( to be losing the money but :) to get some more me time.

I have finally managed to pay a bit more off the debt. I am quite shocked at the effect increasing my debt has had on me mentally. Last month I put a holiday on my credit card and therefore increased my debt and it has left me very deflated. I now know that I do not want to increase my debt ever again and will forward plan and save up for everything :)
