    Happy Sunday Everyone!!
    Daily Check in!

    Food - £15.63/£200 (5 week month @ £40/week)
Emergency - £16/£100 (in the Emergency purse)
Exercise - 0/10 (Working on the Allotment)
    Petrol - £0/£120
    SFD - 1/10

Had a SFD yesterday which is really cool, as I was in town wandering around the Saturday market and the fish stall and olive stall were calling to me!! :o

Today should be allotment day, but I am looking at the weather and not liking it lol. Also before I went on this budget drive I promised Dad we would go to the garden center today to get much needed tools - Trowel and Little Fork Dad will get, but I need to get the Hoe and Rake. I won't scrimp on the costs of these as I've been burned before with "Buy cheap buy twice" on garden tools.

So I'm budgeting £50 today, but what will be part of the yearly budget of £100 for my allotment spends (plus £215 allotment yearly rental - Must add those into my a tab on my spreadsheet to cover all those items I always forgot to budget for...Car, Garden, Allotment, School Uniform, Shoes etc!!)

    Good Morning everyone,

Checking in late from yesterday! Was very good until I passed byte supermarket late yesterday afternoon and picked up a whole basket of reduced fruit - all at 50% off (which is a s good as it gets here). SO another 20euros on the food bill, but very delicious!!

Today will be a NSD, everywhere is shut so no opportunities to spend.

Speaking of phones though I've finally got round to changing my sim to a PAYG still through O2 though. £20 a month for something silly like 2500 texts, 1GB of t'interweb and calls of about 7000 minutes or something ridiculous like that. I'm just hoping nothing affects my pictures as I have no way of getting them to my laptop before the swap on Tuesday.

Kat - I did the same thing as you, went from monthly to SIM only. Didn't even think about losing pictures and I didn't. I didn't even know when the switch over date was so definitely didn't back up first.

So, what I am waffling is that I don't think you will have any problems.

    ISA savings £33.25/£50
    Food: £24.82/£150
    Birthday fund: £10/£40 saved
    Car fund: £25/£100 saved
    Entertainment: £0/£120
    Petrol: £0/80
    Misc spends: £0/£100

Yesterday ended up as a SFD after all as the supermarket didn't have the free book I wanted :(

I did get the rest of my food shopping and broadly stuck to my list. I did buy pasta from Sainsbugs that I don't need yet, but I had a voucher for 60 extra Nectar points, so thought it was daft to turn that down.

I have £12.68 left from my weekly budget and I hopefully will only need to buy bread before Mr Mooo heads off to visit his family this week. That'll save me a wee bit while he's away :D

Today I have a load of stuff to photograph before selling on FB. I have two weddings to attend this month and really need to buy a dress to wear. I'm not precious about wearing the same thing to both :D I haven't budgeted for it and I'm a little heavier than I was this time last year so none of my summery dresses fit. I plan to fund the dress from selling, so if I don't list things for sale today I won't be able to buy a nice dress. Any excess I make will go to my ISA.
  • checking in for yesterday! hehe!

it was a no spending day so I am currently:
    SFD: 2/15
    Daily check-in: 3/31

    whoop!!

Today will me spent mostly washing clothes (didn't do that yesterday) and taking advantage of the quiet to do some cupboard sorting!

PS I recycled loads of old paperwork form uni the other week and now have about 6 rusty leaver-arch files in my cupboard - any suggestions on how to get rid of them? Should i cut my losses and recycle without the metal bits or put them on gumtree for 50p? :)

    xx

Spendy day yesterday as shopping for Mum (which was reimbursed) and getting 2 of 3 birthday presents for next Friday. I used to meet some people 4 times a year but it's dropped to 2. So, if it's like last year, one person won't get her birthday present till Christmas 2014 or New Year 2015 depending when we all have free time.

Anyroad, spendy and social day today as I'm off by bus to a record fair and flea market. Being very, very careful about purchases....

It's funny what goes through your mind during a day...

I decided to park at work (for free) and had a 15 minute walk in - good exercise! As I was walking in I imagined (don't laugh...!!!) I was Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games!!! I was on a mission - just like when she raided the weapons dump. I needed to get in - and get out as fast as I could. Distractions could prove fatal (to my wallet and pending SFD). And that was it - single minded determination got me in - the bloody place was closed after all that hahah - and got me out, resisting the urge to comfort buy to cheer me up for my wasted trip. :T

I really enjoy an insight into other peoples minds, this made me giggle as I could so easily see myself doing it :D

cottage_retreatist - maybe you could put them on freecycle someone may need some?

Another one here who when using frozen quorn mince then freeze portions of whatever the end result....

In sainsbobs was tempted by some solar lights for the garden but did only spend £2 so that was pretty good temptation wise... did resist going in this morning for a mooch as I was going past so hoping for another SFD. Off to update totals, happy BH weekend all :)

Will have to put gas and petrol in my car today but it is all budgeted for.

I gave both kids a haircut this weekend saving money on that, DD has waist length straight hair so it is easy to just give it a trim.

DH want's to go to Aldi to look at the cycling stuff later and the grocery shop is being delivered so today is a spendy day all round.

Hey everyone! It's so nice out there today... and it's a Bank Holiday weekend...? What's that all about hehe!?!

OMG. I made some of applemuncher's chicken satay (I did have some chicken in after all - I'd bought Sainsb everyday value chicken and completely missed it in my fridge because the packaging is different lol)... Anyway - TRY IT!!! It was yummy and really easy to make. I'm having left overs for lunch now!

Bagged gym session number 2 and SFD number 4 as won't be going out again today.

I'm glad the inner workings of my strange little mind keep people amused haha!!! That was me on a good day! I do live in a bit of a fantasy world half the time lol.

Congrats Kat on your well deserved recognition!!! You've achieved great things with this board and helped lots of people get their lives back on track. You lead by example and give others a belief and help them find the courage to do it themselves. I speak here from experience remember!!!

Hugs all - enjoy your weekend x

@sda delivery coming later! What an exciting life i lead!
no reason to go out today so clocking in sfd 3/15!! :)
