  • Hi c-r, have a great day, enjoy your peace and quiet! I don't know what the official line is, but I do use frozen quorn mince regularly and refreeze the cooked item (lasasgne/sauces/mince etc). Always seemed to work out fine!:rotfl:

Sluggish start to today. guests up and out early. lots of fun things planned with my parents this afternoon/eve, but I've been very lazy so far. Now in a rush to catch up and do a few tasks. Very excited by free sample of tea bags that dropped through the door just now.

    hey crazy_lady!

that sounds good enough to me! I will give some quorn lasagnes a go as well tomorrow!!! Maybe I won't tell OH and see if he notices :rotfl::rotfl:

my OH very much enjoyed his free tea sample the other day! Now hes back to tescimo's value brand :D:D:D

    have a good day! xx

    Happy Saturday all!

Stewby truffles sound yummy - I shall have to resist though, need to lose all my Easter egg weight before I have anything else tasty!

Crazylady - I went to Hay a few years ago, it was fab. Who are you seeing? Well worth it to go!

Xspender - I have to submit a meter reading too, dreading it as the builders have been doing lots of powertool work. Hope your DD goes down.

Cottage_retreatist - I have also used frozen quorn in recipes and refrozen leftovers and it's been fine, not sure this is official though!

I have done my grocery shopping for the week - total of 37.84 in aldini and asdal, pleased with this but didn't need any cleaning stuff or washing powder so will see how it goes next week. OH made us some bread so that is a saving - and much nicer!

Hope everyone is having a bit of sunshine, or at least it's warmed up a bit for Kat - lovely sun here, am trying to make the most of it by doing loads of washing.

Well I hope you are all enjoying the bank holiday weekend, this is my rota'd long weekend in work, I am working tonight, tomorrow and Monday! Boo hoo, need to think of the bank holiday pay.

    SFD 2

Well I did it, paid the random £44.09 off Barclaycard one, today, well I scheduled it to leave my account on Tuesday.

Hopefully I can have a lot of SFDs in a row now as I don't really need anything and have nothing planned, only got work to go to. I may even try to sneak an extra shift in before the cut off for pay day.

I can't wait until Tuesday I am off to update my signature now.

    Hi all

I can't claim a SFD today as I did my grocery shop, bought my nephew a b'day present and had a haircut. I think from now on I'm going to give my niece/nephews money - I never have a clue what to buy them and I'm buying stuff for the sake of it rather than something they might actually want.

It's funny what goes through your mind during a day...

I needed to go into town to validate my ISA book... a potentially hazardous trip involving parking meters, vendors selling food down the high street, and of course shops shops shops!!!

I decided to park at work (for free) and had a 15 minute walk in - good exercise! As I was walking in I imagined (don't laugh...!!!) I was Katniss Everdeen from the Hunger Games!!! I was on a mission - just like when she raided the weapons dump. I needed to get in - and get out as fast as I could. Distractions could prove fatal (to my wallet and pending SFD). And that was it - single minded determination got me in - the bloody place was closed after all that hahah - and got me out, resisting the urge to comfort buy to cheer me up for my wasted trip.

So feeling quite pleased with myself. I got to the gym, and had my field trip all without spending a penny!!!

That will be SFD number 3 for me. Now to chill out and enjoy the evening! Have a good one folks!!!

I shall claim today as another NSD :j. Dd did ballet and we then spent a few hours at a friend's house where dh worked on their pcs and dd played with their toys and I was lucky and had a back massage which undid many a painful tight knot. Suits me that dh does the work and I get a massage!

Washing done too. In the week I did a 60 wash and sort of broke the machine - it smelled like it had boiled the washing! So today I've done it on 30. We've had it over 5 years, but I'm not ready to replace it yet! I shall simply avoid the 60 wash from now on.

And I have just made dd's day :T. We'd mislaid 10 little wooden dollies in the house about 2 weeks ago and just could NOT find them. I asked if they were in with the wooden train track and kaboom! they have been located! She's now chatting to them and putting them back in their house. Peace and quiet for me for a while!

Abundant - it would have been worse if you had paid parking and then found out the place was shut.

I have spent on a few groceries, I have an online shop due tomorrow but I got some YS bits so have knocked them off the delivery. Also bought a plunger but it isn't working on the bath plug hole, DH is going to dry the bath and try again later.

Enjoy the rest of the day folks.

Well done on the NSDs abundant and applemuncher

OH is out tonight so I'm planning a nice early night with my book.

    Reasons to be grateful:
    1. Spring flowers in the park this morning when I went for my run
    2. Lovely sunny day and lots of dry washing
    3. Discovered a packet of mini eggs left from Easter - yum!

    Evening all,

    First SFD today :)

Not much to report, I went to the gym, went for a walk and cleaned the house, in between sitting in the sun.

Hope you've all had a nice day
