in the grill pan - I'm another fan of them too
I haven't noticed that things are extra crisp but they are great at preventing spitting

I was looking at lakeland yesterday and have made another order, this time to include toilet brushes that use a hygenic liquid, on special offer. I know I laughed at the roomba a while ago but the more I read about it,,,,,0

my most used item has to be the pineapple slicer, had it for years and love it,burger press is good too(should make more use of it tho for cheaper turkey burgers etc),i like the wee orange peelers, lock n lock tubs are great.OXO good grips items are always good, got a peeler and potato brush
.2 things ive not been keen on,1 is a gadget for people with arthritic hands,"wrap rage beater"supposedly opens childproof lock, cellophane wrappers, medicine bottles etc, cost a fiver, but a waste of money, also bought a "skimming ladle"supposedly to skim fat from casseroles etc...didnt work, dont think they sell it anymore...and more recently(ie,last week)I returned a laser knife set..retailed at £33.30,but i bought them with a voucher for £9.90 but they were very poor quality, shocking realy considering original price, however Lakeland came into their own with there no quibble return policy,fantastic...maybe i shouldve returned the ladel and rage wrap thingy too:eek:

How did you all manage to receive a cheque for the utensils?
I got a £6 voucher from them which expires 30/09/09
Not even worth using as their delivery will use most if it before I've even bought anything!Ageing is a privilege not everyone gets.

Can you not use the voucher in store if you live close to one or does it have to be used online?0 -

I was going to try the food flask but I read the customer reviews on their website and decided not to.0 -
I bought the pineapple slicer on the recommendations here and it really is fantastic. Wow I used to deslike preparing pineapples so maybe only bought one a few times a year and I am getting one a week now, even my dh got the hang of it
My tefal pressure cooker started going wrong and I decided not to do with the faff of spare parts as it was not an expensive one and from a tefal outlet, so I googled and got into a youtube video of a kuhn rikon in use. I googled some more and could only find good things about this one and I couldn`t believe my eyes to find it in lakeland. It is amazing, so simple and so safe. It arrived this morning and I have already cooked a bunch of beetroots. It is pretty silent too and I like the timing chart on the top of the lid. I have used pressure cookers for 52 years and yes I have also had the pea soup on the ceiling. This one doesn`t have bells and whistles but it is supposed to be the most safe and I certainly loved it this morning
Yet another A1 lakeland buy. No recipe book but we don`t need one with the timing chart. I kept the tefal steaming basket and it fits perfectly on top of the trivet so stews with steamed veg, here I come0 -
Has anyone seen the electric soup maker in the new catalogue? - I think it looks really good!Jane
