morganlefay wrote: »Please can you tell me what you do to get good poached eggs in the pod ? I tried - I didn't butter the pod (was teying to be lo-fat) put egg in pod and pod into boiling water. It took ages to cook and then I couldn't get it out of the pod, and had to scoop it out with a spoon, breaking the (runny) yolk. What do you do please ?
Mine are exactly the same!! I love poached eggs but just cant cook them so when i read the reviews of these pods I ordered them straight away but i still cant master them

I wasn`t able to cook a decent poached egg in 52 years, until the pods came into lakeland0

Used our Poach Pods for the first time today - not too bad!!
5 and a half minutes in very gently simmering water - tasty although next time I'll go for 5 as they could have been just a touch softer!!
Just a few flecks of cooked white stuck to the pods - despite a wipe of oil first.
How do you stop that?0 -

The pineapple thingy is also on my list, having cored and peeled several in the past week, I have decided to invest, I'm sure it'll be more economical than the amount I lose when I do it with a knife!
btw I have the jam maker and I love it, I like the fact that it just makes a few jars, ideal for any cheap fruit I pick up in the supermarket, and I like the fact that I leave it to get on with it. Basically it means that we have a greater range of preserves. I still do vats of marmalade, apple chutney and strawberry jam the usual way.
 to the soup maker! Never come across that before, don't think it'll be making its way into my house, but then I doubt it'd make enough soup to go round my lot!
hello
do you have any recipes for the jam maker and i would love to hear how you make your apple chutney:TMAKE £2022 in 2022 no 29 £2022/£434.10

Hi everyone
I've just had a lovely wander round our Lakeland shop. I wasn't actually supposed to be buying anything but they have an offer of 3 for 2 on enamel ware so I now have a pudding basin ( which fits wonderfully inside my slow cooker), a pie plate and an oblong deep pie dish. All things that I need I must add because my cookware is all battered and sad looking and older than my kids (both adults)
Sad I know that this had made me happy but you find happiness where you can.
Pie for tea I think
Have a lovely day

(Oh they also had smaller pudding basins, milk pans and smaller deep pie dishes ):rotfl:
