  • Hi Bargain Rzl, Yes it is exactly the same. Son says it is great, even dries jeans overnight.

What's the difference - other than about a fiver in price?
  • The more expensive one has a lid.

    :slaps forehead:

Thank you - I must have read the descriptions five times, and STILL didn't notice that!

I wondered about getting the green mat for the vegetable drawer but after reading about the maggot experience, glad I didn't. I just put a double layer of kitchen roll down which absorbs any surplus moisture and throw it into the ocmpost bin every time I clear the drawer out.
  • I was put off the green veg drawer stuff too by the maggot story - I have wicker 'drawer' baskets for my veg and I put newspaper in them - it works fine and is 'free' however often I change it !
Of course one of the best Lakeland things is the foil, which tho expensive (and I don't use it for everything because not everything needs extra-sturdy foil) is amazing for things where you need extra-tough foil. One roll lasts me ages and ages, and sometimes I wash it and reuse it. I think it's one of the times where if you spend more you get what is really a more useful product which pays for itself.
  • I succumbed and have ordered the taller heated airer. I was going to try and manage without but the sun disappeared and I have to dry everything indoors. I don`t see the point of putting the heating on just for the washing so yet another lakeland purchase is winging its way to me. Together with a few other items :o

    I can`t resist

I can recommend these for storing veg in the fridge. It may seem an expensive outlay but they do work and can be re-used.

I've had my pack for about 5/6 years and still have plenty left. I use them mainly for root veg such as carrots and parsnips and have kept things perfectly fresh and non wrinkly for up to 6 wks. Not tried it with fruit but don't see why it shouldn't work.
Woofles you need to get out of that house. You are going insane:eek: - colinw

apologises for spelling mistakes - google toolbar and I have had a hissy fit and I've lost me spell checker.
  • Lakeland green bags are fantastic, they saved my sanity again this christmas as I had no last minute shopping. The veg and fruit that I stored in them were in A1 condition after 3 weeks and the purple sprouting broccolli looks fresh and crunchy as it sits in a bag in my fridge.

Future christmas catering will now happen via waitrose delivery and lakeland green bags. Sorted!!!

More LL winging its way to me as I have been sale shopping. They have some superb one-off items from time to time eg the nut chopper that I use 3 times a week and that I have never seen since I bought it
