    Has anyone tried these containers?

They are cheaper than the Stack a Boxes so sadly won`t be as good quality. But I wonder how they compare to the cheap take-away style tubs that a lot of members here use. I wouldn`t want to pay over the odds if they are the same i.e. quite flimsy. I bought some from the £1 shop but a sharp splinter of plastic broke off when I was giving them a quick wash before use. I was quite alarmed to think this could easily get into food and be eaten.

If you check on the site there is an OK review and a peeved one. I got some cheapy ones from Mr T and shan't bother with any more as the lids don't fit on, nevermind securely!

I am new to Lakeland - I agree some stuff great and others a bit gimmicky. Received my (too large) order last week and amongst other things I bought the mop - as I am almost 6' tall it has an extendable handle and holds water so well I can mop floors in half the time so def highly recommended and worth the money.
Have looked a few times and the heated clothes drier - think it is £79 - does anyone have one of these and are they worth the money ??

I have one and its brilliant. It does cost 79 but dries clothes overnight and saves my TD and heats my utility and hallway. It costs hardly nothing to run. Its one of my best lakeland buys!!

I am extremely tempted by one of these. At £79 for the 3-tier one or £43 for the 2-tier one, which would you say is the more practical buy? I see somebody on the comments on the Lakeland website has said it would be good if there was an isolator switch so you could use fewer than all three tiers at once (fab suggestion). I live on my own but I do tend to do my washing in full loads. I have very limited space but I'm guessing the big one is only bigger vertically...

I have a large family so would only use the large one. Having said that I only use half of it as the other half is flat against a wall. Why would you want to isolate parts of it? If you have a large load of washing as i also do the cumulative effect works brilliantly by radiating heat more potently as those parts that dont have clothes on are radiating out heat and quickly dries the clothes. I can dry jeans overnight and school uniform in half a day. My duvet is dry is dry within 2 hours as i drape it over and as heat rises it works brilliantly...plus it warms up the kitchen a treat.

Thanks, Molly :) The suggestion about isolating part of it was so it would be even more economical to run if you were only doing a small load.

One of my friends has just got one (the 2-tier one) and she says that it seems to work more effectively with a large item like a sheet slung over the top because it keeps the heat in. She also says it works better if you give the garments a bit of a shake after an hour or so :)

  • I bought son and girlfriend one of those last winter as they live in a rented flat and have nowhere to dry clothes. I bought it from "Coopers" ( not sure of exact website address ) and it was exactly the same as Lakeland one but £20 cheaper!

I went to LL 2 weeks ago purely for the enamel tins (on 342). My mum always used these for baking when we were kids so if they were good enough for her to use then i wanted my own. Only bought the oval deep pan ones tho as i wanted them more for HM pies and the first thing that went into one was a beef n ale one so i am very pleased. I was disappointed with the depth of the pie plate tho as i remember mum's being much deeper, i even made her drag it out the back of the cupboard to check lol.

They have a good assortment of these in the markets. I bought a couple to put in my remoskas

Unfortunately unless i want the latest chav clothing or bbe of sweets our local market has nothing of any use any more. I also try in vain to avoid town on market days as my DH is disabled and every under 20yo single mum thinks its their god given right to ram him with the buggy. (btw i am only 32 and very bitter and cynical lol)
