My jam making largely featured a badly burnt pan (much brillo-padding, having soaked it for ages in Ariel) usually a cracked saucer or two, and a few jars of overcooked jam which needed a hammer to help get it out of the jar and had an underlying 'caramel' (ie BURNT) flavour. You're obviously much better at it than I am - well done !!

Is there any way to order the catalogue to be delivered to your house? I can only find how to read it online, but it's just not the same

I have the traybake tin with the lid that I love, however does anyone else find cakes cook a lot faster in it? I've been cooking the Mary Berry recipes from the traybake thread and they call for 45 mins or so of baking, in my oven with this tin they are done in 30 - 35 mins max, and that is with covering with foil halfway through!

Perhaps you could check the temperature of your oven with an oven thermometer - from Lakeland, of course - it sounds like your oven might be running a bit hot.

I tried a Mary Berry lemon drizzle traybake in my Lakeland traybake tin and it refused to cook in the middle even with an extra 15 mins (I was using a thermometer) so as newleaf suggests, I suspect your oven is hotter than its setting.

    We have -

The Funky Trundle - great for lugging books to and fro from school to home and back.

Clippits - although the clippit fairy steals them in the night so I need to buy more!

I bought the cow print wheeled bag as a gift for a friend but she won't use it as it sounds like a load of skateboarders (if you've got one you'll know what I mean!!!)

2 trolley bags for the supermarket runs.

    Stack and store boxes.

All of the above products are great.

We also have a slicing gadget which unless you're catering for a kids party or having a load of folk round just isn't worth the effort of getting it out and then washing it up afterwards.

I have been pretty lucky in my local charity shop. I got the banana bag for 1.00 still in its wrapping.

I also got a mesh tray which you use in the oven. It allows the air to circulate so that chips, pastries etc, get equal browning.

    Bargains.

I see Lakeland as a kind of gadget and organisation heaven type place. Very addictive.
