I have hit a depression this week which wont shift, no reason or quick fix for it,
had half tub pringles yest, after dinner.jaffacakes, 2 tubes smarties, later a cheese sarnie:eek: now I want trifle.
Hello to the new ladies and fellow sugar, choc addicts!
If you try not to eat any sweets for ten days or so and then have as many as you like in one day, it will make you so sick you will look differently to all that sugar goodness.
I had 3 pieces of 85% dark chocolate today, ~180kcal. That didn't lead me to a binging, luckily.0 -
Hugs to everyone struggling with the temptation of calorie packed grub.
I have been away with a friend who has just bought a camper van. On Monday I ate appallingly. When we got to the site we had a bacon roll for breakfast. The visited a NT property and had a cup of tea & a slice of cake. Then (it gets worse..) we had fish & chips beside the sea. And for supper chocolate:o:
I skipped my back exercise and paid for all the time sitting in a vehicle with awful back pain.
Back on track today. I had a spinach, plum & cucumber smoothie for breakfast. Homemade courgette & butternut squash soup for lunch with half a wholemeal roll & an apple. Dinner was tuna pasta & a huge salad. Feel much better for it, the exercises & long walk. Going to aim to join applemuncher and do 10 a day with the fruit & veg for the rest of the week. Hoping to start tomorrow with a long cycle.0 -

Hello to the new ladies and fellow sugar, choc addicts!
I have spells like this and sometimes they seem really hard to get out of. Big hugs.0 -
Jiggle free day 29 completed in about 8 mins. Tomorrow's is a toughie though!
And I have maintained a second day without added sugar. I did have oats at lunchtime and gf macaroni for tea (sis + niece are veggies) but still hit 10 veg and 2 fruit, and despite giving everyone else ice cream, I stuck to a yummy nectarine for pud. Thursday is when I'm allowing myself to have sugar, so 3 days off it first. Then I can start August with a run of no-sugar days. Hopefully...
I understand when a cloud of depression falls, and the easiest - and worst - thing is to reach for easy food. When I am able to stay on the natural foods and avoid processed food and sugar, then I usually find that the cloud lifts sooner. Not saying this will work for everyone, but it gives me a sense of being in control, and not at the whim of a dark fug. Hang in there aggy.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Hiya! Yup, been on citralopram for a few yrs, I have been feeling fine for mnths , even through my breast cancer treatment.
I am having much less choc than normal , I really think its possible as you say to lose the taste or at least the craving. I used to buy dairy box and eat it over 2 dys:eek: and large bags of giant buttons!:)0 -

Must be something in the air AGGY.
A total waste of a day for me, skipped out on circuit training had a afternoon kip at 3pm and woke up at 8pm, food has been even worse.
Bfast Banana& tea
Lunch salad and melon duo
Then it all turns pear shaped, small loaf Toasted cheese sandwich, 2 packets of plain crisps, another toasted cheese sandwich + last 2 slices of gouda and a small bowl of cornflakes as there is no biscuits in the house that lot in the space of 4hrs, im uncomfortably bloated and stuffed, wide awake because i've slept so long, it's all pants
Will follow Fmess plan draw a line and try again tomorrow0 -
Thanks Fmess, the cloud is lifting .
never mind Tori, you must have needed that extra sleep. Nothing beats a bowl of cereal, love sugar puffs.
Better luck and resolve today.0
