tori - I've done SW many times and do well for a few weeks then it's one step forward and two back with it. I just can't fit it into my life, when I'm on it I constantly think about what I will be eating and how it fits into the plan whereas now I just eat whatever, cut way down on the wrong things and I'm fine. I can't seem to cope with choosing between bread and cereal and milk and cheese plus I hated handing over that £5:rotfl:. I would say it is best to keep going when you get to target, it's free like you say and if a pound or two creep on you know about it early on.

Feel the same way Dolly, i've never been a girl for rules :rotfl: but DH loves the structure.

Lots of running at last nights circuits class weight was added by a tyre on a rope, next week I promised to stay for the LBT class right after with a young (super fit) maid that also does circuits, must be crazy :D
Kettlebells this evening it's not till 7pm so will have a bigger lunch and very light tea before.

    Food.
    Bfast Greek yoghurt and blueberry's
    Lunch mushroom omelette

    Morning everyone

Just done the morning run, breakfast and shower in a minute. I have dug out the short shorts to wear for my morning running as its been so warm. These shorts are quite skimpy but feel lovely and cool to run in, and anyway no-one sees me, except the couple of farm cats I usually meet.

So this morning my neighbour had forgotten to put his bin out and decides to do it just as I am coming back from my run. I did feel a bit self concious standing there chatting to him - even if I am not in too bad shape for someone the wrong side of 40!

Was supposed to go cycling last night but it was just so hot and I felt a bit rubbish to be honest. Did a bit of gardening and that was enough.

    Have a good day everyone.

People may laugh it off but his food issues have been just as detrimental as a alcohol or any other addiction.we are lucky we have a great group of people in our small village group I think that's the key to success with SW or any diet based group it's not so much the diet but the support, im at target and DH has 3LBS to go but we will stay with group even after he reaches target (it's cost us nothing), as it's been proven those that maintain the support are more likely to keep the weight off long term.

Oh and it's very much fighting talk if I put on next week I will be owing the consultant a £5...and that not happening :rotfl:

The £5 would be a good incentive for me too! I have continued on my roll of rubbish eating (maybe try sw as could do with some support) and with the heat I have slackened off on exercise. I had a day out yesterday which involved more driving than usual and a visit to a stunningly beautiful garden. I walked for a long time at the garden and unwound totally. I knew I felt better because on the way in I was giving serious consideration to an ice cream, but had no bother avoiding them on the way out.

I tired it once and did find it difficult. There is an sw group on mse which was much better than the classes. I am giving serious consideration to trying again though.

    Morning all

I think I'd like to join sw but the money always puts me off. How much does it cost these days?

Did bodycombat last night. I real struggle to keep up in this heat but just keep thinking at least I'm doing something!

Walked the dogs this morning, just off to do a bit of work and then more cleaning/painting this afternoon. Might actually get round to doing the lawns too!

Breakfast was cereal and toast (bring on payday and fruit and veg)

Fmess - it's £4.95/week at SW and they charge to join but usually have an offer for that. What bugs me is that you have to pay for the magazine which I think should be in your fee, you have to pay if you miss and haven't booked a holiday, you hardly get any weeks holidays and our local group was on Monday and she opened on Bank Holidays so if you went out for the day you had to be back in time or book as holiday or pay and not go.

Whilst I'm having a moan about it our local group was run by an Area Manager and in all the years she has been doing that group at least she has never been anywhere near target. Why? If she can't do it how can she tell others how to do it.

I'll be doing a short bike ride with the kids today but it doesn't really count as exercise, we are going to my mum and dads and I will leave them there and go for a run. That will be me done for today exercise wise as this evening we are canoeing.

Hi all I would like to join you! :)

    I'm 5ft 8" and currently weigh 15st 4lbs (lost 2lbs since Monday!)

My aim is to get down to 11st 7lbs at some point. I'm focusing on short term goals.

My first goal is to see how much weight I can lose by my next payday (18th August).
My second goal is to be able to wear something and look fabulous for a friend's wedding (20th September).

    My other goals:
Start TTC as close to October as possible.
Save enough money for the deposit on our dream house by January.
    Stick to a diet!

That's too many rules for me dolly, thanks for the briefing :) The sound of canoeing in this weather is very appealing.

Welcome lulu, sounds like you've made a great start. What's your plan for the diet?

I've just been in to work and ended up doing a massive change round of some cupboards, it was almost a workout with all the lifting and walking backwards and fowards!

Think I'm going to go for a swim in a bit at the gym. My arms are heavy from two classes in two days and I have another booked in for tomorrow morning.

Resisted a large bag of buttons at work :) and had a cheese and chutney roll for lunch.

Hope you're all enjoying the sunshine

Thanks :) My plan is to use Myfitnesspal with my daily calories set to 1240.

I'm wanting to go from my diet of chocolate and fatty foods to a healthier one. I'm opting for fruits and vegetables instead of chocolate and crisps.

At the moment my weight loss saviour is Giant Couscous. It's £1.10 for a 300g bag from Sainsbobs. Put 40g into a saucepan filled with water, add a chicken stock cube and boil until soft and translucent. 1 portion is 153 calories and tastes like super noodles!

I walk 5km to work and back every day so using Endomondo to track calories and speed, and then trying to beat the record (which I did this morning, shaved 3 minutes off my time!)
