It's also an amazing amount of exercise you fit in around your life HDK, Im finding 1 class hard enough after a days work never mind 2, you must be buzzing like the Duracell bunny :D

Feeling all the weighted squats and lunges from last night but all joints are fine so defiantly need to go back to a 10kg kettlebell, fitness instructor also put in a kettlebell move especially for me bless him of a weighted (Virabhadrasana 3 pose) should help with my balance for pistol squats :) im the only woman in the class will admit I was grateful that It was something I found easier then the fellas, made a nice change :D

Food & water is my issue to deal with today.

I will drink 2ltrs of water and eat my 10 F&V going to make a pan of SW speed soup and see how I go.

    Have a great day everyone

HDK - well done. I know what you mean about trying to tell others that starving yourself just doesn't work.

I'm 43 and haven't found it hard to lose weight either, but then again I'm very, very active like you and most people in fairness are not active at all, you have to break a serious sweat on a regular basis to get our kind of results.

I am now in the full grip of my cold, I am about to set off for a 2 mile run but will take it steady. I have the kids at home today due to strike action so the dog walk will be much shorter and slower.

Can I ask dolly and HDK, how do you find the time and energy to exercise?

Today I woke at 6.20am and left for work at 7.30am. Got home at 4.30pm. Walked the dogs, have done a couple of hours work, made dinner and by then I was too tired to contemplate exercise. Am I not pushing myself hard enough?

I think I'm just getting stressed and tired, and frustrated at myself, and eating too many sugary, fatty, carby foods at the moment so I also feel sluggish and rather round around the middle.

I have just the same issues and work roughly the same hours as you although on a Monday I get home about 6.30pm as we have a staff meeting and then the traffic is heavier. I do the supermarket shop on the way home plus anything else like the bank, buying flowers for a birthday etc. I am absolutely exhausted during the working week.

I also have fibromyalgia which brings a high level of exhaustion and joint and muscle pain. After a working day everything is painful too.

Thankfully I have been part of the MSE community for years which has taught me to live well cheaply and therefore I have been able to save. I have a target sheet on the cupboard behind my desk which is a savings plan (not clear to anyone but me ;) ) to keep me focused so that I am in a position to go part time in two years when I am fifty. I am then hoping to pick up a life outside work again!

I am using this summer to really try and learn a lot more about diet and exercise and find things that I will be able to fit into my working week when I go back after the summer holidays. So far I have discovered I love green smoothies and I have used youtube to give me a back exercise plan. In 10 days my flexibility and back pain levels have hugely improved. I do it first thing just now, but am planning to do it for 20 mins in the fitness room at lunchtime when I go back to work.

It has to fit in around every thing else, so I get up at 5.30, at work by 7. I finish at 3 or 4 most days (Friday I work till 7.30) I got in at between 3.30 and 5, put dinner on and caught up with girls then nipped to class for 6 till 7.30, home bath and jobs. Very similar Monday, Tuesday the girls have music lessons so we take them and then each have an hour in gym so either hubby or I'm there. Wednesday is swimming, so whilst there in the pool I go to class. Sat am is music so again fit in around them, Sunday I get up early and normally back before people wake up. I think will need to slow down at some point but I'm buzzing at the minute.
I work full time, my job is quite hectic and I do have to cover shifts with no notice although take time back and have a day off in week. I like to be at work early so I can be home at a decent time and I'm very fortunate to be able to work flexible.

I was shopping last night after swimming, so 8 ish. Yes worn out most evenings but I have always been busy. Finished my msc last year (in my own time) so this year's mine...

Fmess + Prudent, you are two busy busy bees! I think we all hold HDK in super high esteem for her consistent energy and superb results! :T.

Have you thought about doing a super short, but highly intensive workout at home? I know I always hark on about ZWOWs, but they truly are bloomin' marvellous! You can do them as follow-along on utube and they are as short as 10 mins. With a 5 min warmup and cool down, I can be done in a little over 20 mins. Result! Although I've not touched them in July, I reckon I'll be back on them for August as they are brill! I kind of get withdrawal from them when I have a break... :D.

Jiggle free day 10 done this morning, plus a 5min tabata-style workout. Only 11 mins in total, but made me feel good. And sweaty. Dd always asks me if I've done some exercise in the mornings, and if I say yes, she asks me if I've had a wash. And she won't come near me until she's sure I'm clean!

Eating was slightly better, but not better enough to write it down on here :rotfl:.

I have bought many DVD s, various exercise equipment, yoga mats, little weight, exercise rower and bike, exercise ball... all long gone as I have discovered at home I completely lack any form of motivation. I get bored with classes and gym too, hence my exercise is something different every night and I will change classes when I get bored. Unfortunately it's my personality but at least I know that when my aunty offered me a free nearly New cross trainer recently it was a easy no thanks..

Must be great to do at home as less hassle. I frequently do Wii dance with the girls and we have a sweaty and fun time. They won't always play with me though :rotfl::o

I need a level of busy to keep me sane, my mate always says that if I stopped I'd drop dead..

Bet we all wish we someone would invent a 28hr day, my mornings have been getting earlier each week so I can fit in a crafty quicky before the day starts in 5am during the week altho I wont keep it up once it's back to darker mornings (nothing worse)

Yoga was great but quite demanding It was held in the sweat box which didn't help, I can say trying Bikram Yoga has now lost it's appeal :D

Soup worked...was followed by a slab of Birthday cake...and then a cheese sandwich :o.... will all balance out by the end of the week im sure.

Think i've made a boo boo, I volunteered to join someone for a Zumba class, didn't actually know what it entailed as I thought it was a computer game for the wii ( a Google later) seems my 2 left feet will be getting a workout, worse case I will hide in the corner and do the funky chicken :rotfl:

Circuit training tomorrow something im more comfortable with as the instructor just yells "left"...then "Tori your other left" :rotfl:

Tori - zumba is brilliant, I have worse coordination than anyone I know but people are too busy watching their own feet to look at mine.

Embarrassingly yoga makes me want to trump desperately, I think it does for others too as when I used to go, the parping was hysterical ..
