I hate painting too but I'm getting to the point where the whole downstairs is looking a bit worn and grubby. Having lots of pets is not good in a magnolia and white house!

I'm starting to get quite jealous of all this cycling talk. I've never collected my bike from my parent's house after I moved out 7 years ago but quite fancy going for a ride along the local routes.

Tomorrow is my last poor eating day. I am having a takeaway with friends and then on Tuesday I'll be back on track, with no distractions or plans to eat out.

    Morning all.

You can join the army now HDK :D

Yorkshirelass do check your bike set-up also try some core exercises (like planks) to help increase your body's stability and posture Im guilty of allowing my back to sag inwards when im tired when cycling that gives me lower back ache.

Did a bubble butt home workout this morning, not sure I need anymore junk in the trunk or if gravity will actually let me have one but it's always worth a try :D

Im still working on the Zwow 100 as I can't do the pistol squats for love or money, but working on it im hoping the yoga will improve my balance.

Food is very carb light today as it's weigh-in this evening so just some fruit& cheese for lunch and salad for tea after. would like 2/3LB off as that will take me to the bottom of my target weight as it's DH and DS1 birthday's on Wednesday and want an evening where im carefree about what I eat/drink and it not cost me A £5 the next week :D

    Have a great day everyone

    Hungry or bored Andy-89?

You Hydrated enough, gets some water on board. if hunger is the issue fill your boots on some Fruit& Veg, fish & chicken, omelettes are great and quick, mushrooms are an all time favourite of mine they go well with everything.

Cutting the training but still eating like I was gained me 2 stone that taken me 6 months to shift something I don't want to do again anytime soon..for starter I can't afford a new wardrobe again :D

It could be that I am bored.

We used to eat ALOT of processed chicken, I have binned that in favour of fresh chicken breats, they cost more but I am convinced its better for me in the long run.

I live on Insanity (the fitness DVD) and Football, I am reluctant to do either at the moment until I have had the MRI on my ankle.

    FRUSTRATING.

Yorkshirelass - I agree with the others, your seat height and tilt are crucial for effective cycling, your leg should be fully extended on the pedal at the lowest point but not locked out and the saddle slightly tilted. Is it a road bike (drop handle) or a mountain bike? If it is a road bike you can change position more, really low, half way, or sat up which helps stretch things out a bit.

I've been to the gym this morning and will cycle this evening, not much dog walking today due to work and the school sports day.

tori, I LOVE pistol squats! I'm better at them on my right leg than my left, so I always start them with the left. I can even do them holding a 5k weight - not quite at arm's length but not hugged to my body either! I think I started doing them on a chair as I was having trouble getting the non-bending leg to stay up high enough. And since none of our chairs are 100% sturdy, I got in extra work!

    Evening all.

Another 1.5LB off for me hoped for a little more but reckon my money is safe to eat cake this week :D

Apple muncher with some im doing the full set as im working on the form on some of the exercises like pistol squats I can get down on my left then flail like a turtle trying to get back up the right just isn't happening at all just don't have the balance, but tenacious should have been my middle name and I wont be happy until I can do it, and I will :D

Andy-89 have you thought about swimming and some light upper-body workouts be worth chatting to your quack about, I fully agree with you about eating clean, im actually having quite a drop in my food bill each week as im meal planning rather then just shopping so not buying things like crisp's if I fancy them I make them it's just a couple of spuds and a little oil and seasoning it cost pennies compared to a packet of kettle crisps.

Circuit training tomorrow, looking forward to the kids breaking up from school with no school runs, I can put an extra early morning power yoga class be a great start for a day sat behind the wheel, I miss having little ones during the summer they keep you active enough, dare say it wont be too long before I have grandkids to run after..but not too soon

It is a whole new language on here - every time I read the thread I have to google. Learning lots and loving it! I am going to need to sit down tomorrow and follow Tori.k's example and meal plan. Last two shops have been much more expensive than usual as I bought a huge amount of salad, fruit and veg, but sadly some has gone to waste which I just can't afford.

I managed a reasonable eating day:

Breakfast: poached egg, asparagus and mushroom

Lunch: homemade humus with peppers, sugar snap peas, carrot & cucumber plus a smoothie: mixed berries, cucumber, poppy seed, chai seed, romaine lettuce & nectarine

Dinner: sea bass and peas followed by frozen banana

I went to aqua aerobics and lunchtime and then had a lovely treat of an aromatherapy massage.

Hi all, done a brisk 45 minute dog walk and a 5 mile bike ride today. Still having problems with my back though (thanks for the advice Dolly). Its a mountain bike and I am going to get hubby to put my seat up a bit to see if that helps. Not sure what to do if it doesnt. Shiny new bike maybe?

Have posted on the cycling forum too to see if anyone there has any suggestions.

Tired now - and a bit hungry, off to find a healthy snack!

    Evening all :)

Well done tori, I'm sure you can have cake as a treat this week.

I haven't done any particular exercise today but have done over 13000 steps just going to work and doing a few chores at home this evening.

Starting to get excited for the summer holidays and the thought of 6 weeks where I'll have time to exercise everyday :)

I am worried that I don't buy good quality meat and don't like the thought of all the chemicals in it but I struggle to think of cheap, low fat protein options (btw I can't stand fish). Any ideas?
