I really struggle also tonight Yorkshirelass, It will take a bit of time for your legs and lungs to remember how much they love running and they will soon enough.

Morning all
I have a forced rest day today so no coast path, forced because one of my darlings has dropped milk over the living room carpet, so gotta drag out the bissell as it's stinking of turned milk.
We are off for a July 4th BBQ later, i've decided to drive to avoid drinking, food could be a dangerous one as the host is a woman that was born to cook & bake.
On another note what do you guys do about hair, I freely admit when I work out I sweat like it's raining, great for my figure but downside my hair is getting really dry from all the washing, doesn't help that I have highlights to blend my grey and it's to short to keep tied back. anybody found any miracle products?0 -

Well done HDK!:T:T:T
tori, I've just started washing my hair with bicarb+ water, and conditioning it with apple cider vinegar + water. It might work for daily use too, and is pretty much natural! Rub a mix of 1 tablespoon bicarb+ 200 mil water (I mix them in a little water bottle) through hair; rinse; rub a mix of 1 tablespoon acv + 200 mil water through too; rinse. Job done!
Saturday's here with the promised rainfall. After being outside all of yesterday with sports day, I'm glad for a cooler day.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

Half of me just feels like never going running again and the other half is determined to do better next time. I know the sensible thing is to keep at it but I didnt enjoy it at all.
I have days like this, I do a LOT of exercise and I take a Berocca Boost to get me through those sessions. It's a fairly pleasant drink and I feel energetic but normal not buzzing and jittery.Morning all

:eek:to the carpet, the worst thing to spill.
I too sweat, I have shoulder length curly hair so I tie it back but I look like I've been swimming when I've finished exercising. When I get home I towel it off, then spray with Avon Daily Hair Refresher, then I scrunch some frizz calmer in to it. Maybe you could leave it to dry naturally then use a dry shampoo, the Superdrug ones are very good.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Well done that's great news. I have lost 3 stone 7lb this year but my BMI still has me down as overweight:(.
I pigged out yesterday so I have cancelled treats for today, I just had too many and I don't want anything else now. I will cycle today as the rain is clearing here. Not travelling far from home today as most of the local towns and cities are now closed to traffic for the rest of the day:eek:, we are going strawberry picking and to the church fete. Have a nice day all.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Morning everyone
Thanks for the words of encouragement, nice to know others have off days too.
A bit of a rest day for me, although I will take the dog for a nice brisk walk later and there is some gardening to be done when it dries up a bit. I am at a BBQ later too and have also volunteered to drive! I am not normally keen on burgers and sausages but there is something about BBQs that makes me want to pig out. I think I will eat something before I go.
Mmm, hair, I am thinking about growing mine a bit so its long enough to tie up, it annoys me when I am running, looks awful under a cycle helmet and because its not quite shoulder length I cant do a lot about it.
Wow, Dolly just seen your post about a 3 stone weight loss - thats amazing, I wouldnt worry too much about your BMI, although I can see why its annoying.0 -
I tend to use a wired hair band round my hair, also push my fringe back. The cycle helmet I have no answer for, might try a toweling band under maybe. My hair is curlyish so tends to dry ok, well maybe a bit frizzy.
Rest day for me apart from dog walking, 2nd year anniversary of my mum passing so feeling a little delicate.0 -
Hi all!!!
Sorry for my absence at the end of this week. A combination of lots of work, new puppy and two evenings out has left me short of time. I haven't ate great but not horrendously either, but I have barely exercised, except an hour of walking today.
Well done on all the healthy eating and exercise and the weightloss HDKLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

So, got another NSD, over 10k steps, over 10 veg and a workout. Go me!0
