Eggs and cottage cheese are cheap Fmess (about 6 grams in eggs and 12g in 100g of cottage cheese) how about some lean mince (21g per 100g) my fitness instructor told me to aim for 1 gram of complete & incomplete protein for every pound of body weight while training (basically a mixed diet of fruit, veg and animal protein) as women we don't have the testosterone needed to for bulk muscle mass, but i've found eating more protein has half cut my carb intake that gives me a flatter tummy.
Your breakfast sounds really yummy Prudent, your putting me to shame with all the veggies I really have to do a fruit & veg swap, im just so lazy at times
Have a great day everyone.0 -
Prudent - yum yum to your menu.
tori - well done on the loss, it's all going in the right direction.
Yorkshirelass - Can you tell me what sort of back ache it is? Is it the type you get through poor posture, in the middle of the back, or is it the muscles at the bottom of your back, either side of your spine? I wouldn't fork out for a new bike until you can identify what it is. Are the handlebars very low? How tall are you? And what frame size are you riding?
Last night I cycled, it was just 6 miles but at one point I reached 40 mph going down hill so you can imagine what the ride back up the other side was like:eek:. This morning I have cycled 8 miles but it was a speedy route with just one big hill at the end. I also skipped when I got home.
Menu for today
B/F - porridge with 1/2 soya milk 1/2 water, squash, fruit toast with flora.
Lunch - cous cous with chicken, fruit and yoghurt
Tea - 2 x wraps, spicy chicken with peppers, onion, mushrooms, salad and a drizzle of mayo.
Snacks - squash and 1 piece of fruit.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Hi Dolly - the pain is high up, almost between my shoulder blades and yeah its the sort of feeling when you have been overdoing it or working in the wrong position. But, OH thinks my son borrowed my bike a while back and messed around with the seat so that might explain it!
Have got a link to a British Cycling guide for setting up your bike which is really good so I am going to try that first. Not sure what size frame my bike is, will have a look tomorrow. Any advice very gratefully received!
Need to get to sleep, havent done much exercise today but work got in the way. Will try and do something tomorrow without aggravating my back.0 -

Jiggle free day 9 done and dusted. It still only takes a few minutes to complete so far.
Eating hasn't been going too well. Since I was poorly, I've been very disinterested in healthy eating - dh is rather concerned as I've always been the driving force behing our eating well. I'm ok on work days - until I get home! So today I shall try to listen to my body and not pick.
Quite a busy day ahead, so we'll see how many steps I can squeeze in. I have a load of biscuits and sweets for my classes - bribery or reward? Tee hee!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Morning everyone, just done a 30 minute run, did much better than last time thankfully - but it was still hard work. Have a horrible feeling I am getting a cold too.
We dont have much milk so scrambled eggs for breakfast I think. Shower first and then on with the day!0 -

I find that strenuous exercise suppresses my appetite, when I start it I feel empty and hot in my stomach and then that passes and I'm not bothered about food. I couldn't eat a takeaway either, not a full portion anyway, since January my portions have been cut down and now even a tiny bit over and I feel really uncomfortable.
Last night for tea I had two wraps filled with salad and jerk chicken with veg, a drizzle of mayo and a sprinkle of cheese, I was starving when I sat down to eat it and after I finished I felt really stuffed like I'd eaten four of them.YORKSHIRELASS wrote: »Morning everyone, just done a 30 minute run, did much better than last time thankfully - but it was still hard work. I've started with a summer cold, very fuzzy head and sneezy, I've still been to the gym and I felt better when I was exercising, I will cycle tonight too. As long as it is above your chest it is OK to carry on working out. Well done on the run - why, oh why does running have to be so much harder than anything else?Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
