Hi all, I'm really enjoying reading your updates!

dolly it is perhaps an ambitious target, but I've so much to lose it should be doable, although I won't be too critical if I don't achieve quite that (probably shouldn't say that as it sounds negative - I can only but try :) )

Today wasn't brilliant: banana and fruit salad with yoghurt for breakfast, ham sandwich for lunch and chicken, rice and BBQ sauce for tea (not a very good choice but a 14hr work day put paid to my culinary ambitions).

Lots of water tho - lemon and water usually speeds up my weight loss, so I may allow myself a small purchase on grocery day, and I won't allow them to go mouldy before use this time, promise :)

Hope everyone else is doing well and feeling good x

    Morning guys,

Well its half four and i am awake. typical today I don't need to be up at the crack o dawn but i suddenly woke up and couldn't get back to sleep.

Yesterday was an ok day food wise however I have realised i am going to have to take rations in to work as if i take the boxes in i will just eat the lot! i did not need to eat three nut bars (ok, to be fair i would have made a worse choice of several free delicious looking cup cakes that were offered me) :rotfl:

Sigh, i know i need to lose weight. I know a healthy well balanced diet will get me there faster than just exercise but why does this blatant and inescapable fact leave me in the presence of something to nibble on? It like I have a munchy mind blank. :D

Then have the post feeding frenzy remorse. I think i am going to have to use some of your snack advice earlier the thread to see if this helps.

Regards weighing, is it ok if i have a clothing challenge? I don't have scales in the house.

I have two distinct wardrobes, last years all skinny jeans and lovely tees. This year I seem to be channelling a middle aged frump. I currently have more twin sets and cardigans than you can shake a stick at. its not a good look. trust me. :D

My First challenge is that my middle aged frump jeans (that are supposed to be loose fit) are not tight on me.

Congratulations to everyone who is doing well. I like seeing what you are eating and doing it gives me inspiration. Thank you for posting.
Please note I have a cognitive disability - as such my wording can be a bit off, muddled, misspelt or in some cases i can miss out some words totally...

    Morning all.

Not feeling as bad as I thought I would now the morning stiffness is easing off, like most moving isn't the problem it when you stop you seize, swimming tonight im up to 30 lengths of drowning with style, sounds impressive but it's only a 15 meter pool then 20 mins in the sauna & steam room.

managed one & half LTR of water yesterday by replacing a couple of coffee's with hot water instead, I find hot water is easier to drink than cold

    Food
    Bfast fruit salad & yogurt

    Lunch leek& potato soup

Tea halloumi stuffed peppers and salad with sweet pot wedges (frylight and seasoning) I will admit I miss the garlic bread I usually serve with this so hoping a few wedges will do.

    snacks banana & strawberry's

    Have a good day everyone

Tygermoth, sorry you've been up since the crack of dawn. I ike your idea of a clothes challenge. I have some jeans that are too tight to be seen in public - and darned uncomfortanle to wear anyway! And some that are my 'hopeful and optimistic' jeans. And some that are 'so optimistic as to be laughable!' I shall try them on weekly as motivation.

I find that the afternoon munchies are more controlable if I've eaten enough protein at lunch, or if I have one of my 'protein and produce' snacks. And then stop for 10 mins for it to register in my tum!

Have a goooood day, one and all. Bye bye to April, and tomorrow is another fresh start. :)

Tygermoth - that sounds like a horrendous day. Such a shame - I guess your holiday feels like a lifetime away now.

his missus - definitely in Yorkshire. Bingley to be precise. Where are you? We're nearer to the Leeds end.

The forecast here is a bit grim for later in the day, which doesn't bode well for my walk. May just have to put a mac on and get on with it. But first I'm off to Sainsbury's in Halifax to speak German (exercising the brain) and then Morrisons to do the weekly shop (I suppose I could count that as a walk??). I've still got most of a room to strip of wallpaper too.

What do you do for exercise when the weather's bad? I find it very frustrating when I've made plans and I'm trying to be good, but then the weather stops me doing it.

applemuncher - I think you are the only person I know who uses dried milk in this way but if you like it who cares. Regarding weighing in, I get weighed once a week on Friday morning before breakfast, I fluctuate through the week and can feel a bit disheartened if it goes up.

Bet - could your DH take some evening primrose oil, it works wonders for my PMS mood swings, I just take it for 10 days a month though as otherwise it makes me down in the dumps. I don't know how it would work for men but worth a try, does he admit to his moods?

Wow - dolly84, where are you in God's own county? And his missus - you can't be too far away from where I am!!!

Physical activity so far today - stripped wallpaper for an hour, then went to Pilates. Absolutely fab - the fitness studio has an outside space so we pilated outside in the sunshine today. Then a quick jog round the corner to have my hair cut, and home in time for a conference call and some recreational bookkeeping. OH and I really want to go out for a walk now, but we've got someone coming to give us a quote for some work so we're stuck in until he arrives. Bother.

    I'm not far from Halifax.

I just grin and bear it when the weather is bad, I actually like running in the rain as long as it isn't torrential.

I think everyone is doing a grand job, I don't stick to diet foods as such as this is more of a lifestyle change than a short term thing for me so I want to eat the same way a slim person would, everyday food but a bit less of it and a lot less of the bad stuff.

Today I am hoping to be able to get out for a run but will have to see how things go as I am working and after tea I need to collect my Avon orders, drop DS off at cubs and I will still have DD with me. I will be dog walking as usual though, we went for a really long but lovely walk yesterday, it was really quite hot and when we got back he just laid down on the cold, stone doorstep and looked shattered. I will post my food for the day later as I don't know what I am having for lunch yet.

Funnily enough I've been taking Evening Primrose and Agnus Castus for this very reason, seems to be working for me, unfortunately he's one of those people who refuses to take tablets of any form unless he really needs them. I've also got some of those herbal stress relief tablets that I take when I need to. He will admit to his moods and sometimes will even call me to apologise although he'll then also try to make it 'my fault' to be honest after all these years I've grown used to it and just let him get on with it.

On the food front today I've had a tuna sandwich on wholemeal, a banana and I'm currently snacking on a few crackers - a sort of healthy crisp replacement, dinner will be chicken fajitas again :)

The sun is shining :j so I may try to go out for a little run later - just a small one to start with though - don't want to overdo it ;)
Worrying won't stop bad stuff from happening, it just stops you from enjoying the good.
