Sure your not pregnant
Change of career for me today i've been pimped out by DH to work a friends burger van, I will be stinking but least I will be on my feet today rather than sat in my cab, circuit tonight and plan to have a quick dip in the pool and steam afterwards. I have to do some food shopping today (lucky should be out of the burger van by 2pm) so have no idea what's for tea
Bfast 2 toast& tea
Lunch will be some melon/ grapes& apple (good buy on pink lady's at the moment)
Have a great day everyone0 -
I always find that the only way to keep weight off and have a fairly relaxed diet is to exercise regularly.
I could never motivate myself to do it or stick to whichever new class i'd signed up for. Then i got the 5k runner app. It builds up your stamina gradually so you never feel disheartened after a workout and it's so effective! I've lost a 18lbs in 4 months just by running 3 times a week!0 -
There's so many 5k running apps, we used to have a thread for it but I can't find it think it was called couch to 5k ?People don't know what they want until you show them.0

How bizarre. I do agree on creosote though, takes me back to my childhood staining fences and stables.Sure your not pregnant

I agree. Running melts fat like nothing else. I can't do the couch 2 5k thing though, I am not an app person, can't be faffing with phones and such and trying to time yourself with a stopwatch is too hard when running. I picked a couple of 2 mile routes and just ran/walked until I could do it all then started to extend the time from there.
Weigh day today and I have shifted a further 3lb this week, that takes me 3lb over June's target. I have a 7lb target from today until the last Friday in July. Today is my rest day and I am working which is just as well as it is raining here.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

THis week so far has been better diet wise. Only manged to cycle to work once this week due to kids etc but have done my stretch class and 2 dvd's, along with usual dog walks.
Will try to not go near the scales and rely on how I look instead.
Got to do the Race For Life 'Pretty Muddy' tomorrow. Haven't done any running training for it as I'm too worried about my back but hopefully should be OK.0 -
Actually I've just remembered another question.
I find I need to graze thoughout the day, my diet is usually
Branflakes and skimmed milk, apple juice
banana
salad, yogurt, apple
go-ahead bars / dried fruit
evening meal.
I have IBS tendancies so find an empty stomach causes me problems.
I've been noticing however that no one else seems to eat as much as I do. Some just have soup for lunch and don't snack at all.
Am I doing something wrong?0 -

getcarter, don't worry about quantities! I eats loads, especially compared with what I see here! I don't do the calorie counting thing, not follow a particular diet. But I am coeliac so avoiding gluten does mean it's easy for me to avoid processed foods. I've read that IBS could mask coeliac disease, so maybe ask for a blood test?
Re being hungry, it doesn't look like you eat much protein early in the day, so why not try to up that. An egg (or 3 if you're me!) for breakfast or with your salad, or more pl yog. When I have a more carby day - which invariably means less protein for some reason - I find I wake up hungry. Whereas when I have more protein, then I'm ok.
If it helps, a typical lunch for me might be:home made soup, with at least 5 or 6 veg in it (eaten cold beacuse I can never be bothered to heat it up!) with 2 hard boiled aggs and about 40-50 grams of ham, plus carrot sticks and cream cheese to dip them in. My mid-morning snack is often 1oz almonds.
My breakfast has become a little more socially acceptable than before (weird ingredients!) and is usually 200g cottage cheese with about 20g ground almonds and a few grams of cinnamon mixed together. If it's a weekend I may have that plus 2 scrambled eggs!
So don't worry about your quantities!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
GetCarter It's suits a lot of people to eat smaller amounts thru the day, my lifestyle pretty much keeps me to 2/3 meals a day but im a large portion girl usually I get a mixed fruit punnet for lunch from the supermarket as I like my fruit cold I buy the larger 360g pot rather than the 180g with the fork, omelettes are made up with 3 eggs, I wont even mention cheese (but it's the biggest cost in my weekly shop) bread is pretty much the only thing I limit and use the smaller 400g rather than the normal 800g, I eat pretty clean and most evenings are spent doing a class or some form of movement it's quite odd I spend so much time thinking about food..what to buy..what to cook..and what to feed everybody else, than actually making and eating it0

Well done dolly on the weight loss.
I have had another food filled day and I have never felt hungrier! Just realised I have ate no protein! No wonder I am starving.
I also really need to get back into rumning and it helps so much with a flat stomach and getting the weight off.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Fmess, get some protein down yer neck, lass!
And then in a true case of 'do what I say, not what I do', I hereby declare that I shall be having pure plain white basmati rice for tea!
Since the throwing up/blacking out malarkey of 2 nights ago, I have eaten the grand total of 2 apples, 4 mint humbugs , a dozen jelly beans, a dozen grapes and a few cashews. And loads of water plus some black coffees. Am trying to listen to what my body feels like, and tonight it has said 'rice'. So rice it is! I can't face anything else yet... I shall surely be back to stuffing my face soon.
Have also been too weak and feeble to exercise too - but feel justified in resting, given that I slept for most of Thurs and then was asleep by 8.30pm until my alarm at 6am!
In other foodie news, dd, now 6, made her own buttered toast soldiers tonight, doing everything from getting the bread out of the fridge to cutting them up. Proud mummy here!
