Lazy morning, then took dogs out to try the first session of couch to 5k, not pretty. will need to rethink equipment if my back doesn't seize up later.
Really enjoying being active these days, keeps my back happy and am loving being involved in this thread.0 -
Dolly the bike ride sounds fab, a lovely day out. We have a very active 9 yr old staying over, but its my DH who goes cycling with her.
I dont think I have fluid retentionn as I am over the mp, so not sure how that affects the bodys hormones now, add tamoxifen to that and im thoroughly confused.lol
I give up a bit today so got meringues tesco at 125 cals each, not too bad, then had I massive choc chip cookie frm the bakery.
I had horrible reflux ep 2 nights ago, it woke me up choking and gasping for breath. I sent my radio and specs flying to the floor and
DH awoke thinkin someone was attacking me! It was so scary. I had to get up till I felt able to settle again. I will have to be careful not to eat later in evenings.0 -

Cutting grass and then raking up gives me a sore back cos of the twisting movements. Same with stretching across the sewing machine.0 -
Your bike ride plans sound great dolly
Surely a veg pasty isn't that bad tori, especially after a 6 mile walk!
The weather here is nothing like the weather forecast. It was supposed to be dry with sunny spells but its been grey and now has rained all over my washingI haven't even bothered to get it in. I was also planning on mowing the lawn and taking the dogs on extra long walks but it looks like we'd all get soaked if we went
I've only done 2000 steps so far
Food was been ok so far but I'm hungry, even after having protein.
Breakfast - bacon, mushroom and tomatoes
Snack - banana
Lunch - tikka chicken salad, crisps and jelly
How can I still be hungry?!LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Morning all,
Either the mild winter has done wonders for the plants around the coast path or we don't have as many walker's in Cornwall this year as nature seems to be reclaiming her own, Lovely weather yesterday so it's on it's way Fmess.
Confession an apple turnover made it's way into my backpack, not sure why as the always look better then they taste never enough filling, enjoyed my pasty but for the first time ever only managed half but still found room later in the day for the turnover
Im sure going easy on the carb's today, it's weigh-in later im hoping i've done enough to take the 2LB off that I put on in Spain.
Think I will cause a mutter at fat club this week they don't differentiate between good fats and bad due to them not pushing exercise I got caught with an avocado yesterday, anybody would think I just walked out the shop with a kg of chocolate :rotfl:
Thought this may be of interest to some https://www.theironyou.com/ it's american but there are some fantastic recipes im going to have a go at the cauliflower crust this week as a bread alternative.
Have a great day everyone.0 -

That's what really bugged me about Slimming World, hardly anybody exercised. I have always been very active and when I went there people used to be miffed at the huge amounts of food I age, but I did lots of exercise. I eat less now doing it my own way but I'm less hungry than I was on SW, sometimes I would be on the verge of collapse even though I'd eaten plenty, it just wasn't filling enough, plus I found paying £5 then having to spend a lot more on food each week a bit much. If I ran my own SW group I would organise walks with the members and get them out moving.
Went to the gym this morning and did an hour, it was really busy, mainly with pensioners chatting, there are 3 rowing machines and there was someone on each one but they were all just chatting, anyway one let me have his after I asked politely if they were actually using them;).
Will walk the dog and then cycle this evening. DH is off work on Wednesday and we have a long bike ride planned, somewhere in the 25 mile region, this will be our longest in one go.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Tori, how lucky to be in a nice area, I love seeing wild flowers.
When I look at pastry I just imagine the big lump of fat its made off, usually puts me off.
SW.. what put me off was the cliqueness of the people who had been going for months or yrs. I lacked confidence to go alone and lasted 2 weeks.0 -
I've gotta say SW served it's purpose well for us The "diet" got DH head in the right place that it was adjustments rather than living off rabbit food for 2 weeks then binging that's helped him lose weight,as the exercise increased i've been able to move him slowly off the low fat sugar high stuff and back onto real wholesome food, we've been lucky it's a small village group other then if as soon as you pop the co-op everyone knows what you have purchased
we all chivvy each other on some take it more seriously than others but it's mostly a fun crowd and I've made some great friends.
It's a real bonus that I live in Cornwall as your never more than 20mins from moor to coast and the public transport system is appalling so plenty of places and opportunity's to walk or cycle as it twice as fast as the bus service that shuts at 6pm, it's a hard place to be for disabled or people with health issues as those services are worse then the transport sadly, longterm it would be better for my children to move away.0 -
Evening all
I would love a coastal walk this evening, the weather is gorgeous.
Should reach 11000 steps by bedtime and have ate pretty well apart from some chocolate at work. High protein is definitely the way for me.
Tomorrow is exercise class night, which I loveLBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

I find mfp has given me more control than the sw principles. I agree about exercise, the journey is about fitness as much as getting rid of fat.
I also love the fresh challenges, currently pushing myself with running.Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... It's GONE!!!!!
2014 GOAL HIT 5 Stone! 2016 GOAL to be a MF marathon runner.
