Definitely wise to follow what your body tells you apple muncher

I had pasta and cheese tonight, so not healthy at all but very yummy!

Have plenty of protein planned for tomorrow!

Finished the Pretty Muddy. No running involved with the group I did it with and lots of waiting around at obstacles. Would have liked to have run a bit but you'd be waiting even more between obstacles.

Was great fun but took ages to get warm again afterwards. Has inspired me to do more of the same sort of things and my back seems to be OK!

Well done on doing the pretty muddy getcarter :)

How are you feeling today apple muncher? How as your plain rice dinner?

Today I decided that I had set myself up to fail again as I hardly had any fruit and veg in for the week and not much protein apart from cheese, minced beef and sausages. So I went to the shops, again, and bought lots of fruit and veg, as well as bacon for breakfasts (to go with tomatoes and mushrooms) and turkey steaks to go with various veg combinations for dinners when OH has pizza/pie/pasta etc.

Exercise is going well, I've done a bodycombat class and 10000 steps, and I haven't walked the dogs yet :)

    Food for the day:
    Breakfast - eggy bread
    Lunch - chicken tikka salad
    Snack - cheese and grapes
Dinner - turkey steak and roasted veg

I have also made a jelly in case I get the urge for sugar and have bananas on stand by. I have also drank plenty of water to help keep me feel full.

Fingers crossed, I might be able to get back on track and stay on track. I have 13lbs to lose to get to my target weight and really want to be there by the end of August.

Fmess, I am on the road to recovery, thanks. And don't want to go back there again! The rice was accompanied by carrots and sat well. Phew!

So I pushed the boat out this morning and had Bodyism pancakes, which always make me feel like Elle McPherson, tho I'd hardly be 1st on the list to be her body double :rotfl:. It contains 2 eggs, 100g cott ch, 50 g oats (was short here so added flaked almonds instead) and 1 tsp cinnamon. Zap it all and dry fry. Makes about 5 yummy ones, which i sandwich with blueberries and topped with pl yog today. Soooo filling.

Lunch was weird so won't do details here!

And for tea I fancy egg-fried rice. Maybe with peas and other chopped up veg we have in.

We get a veggie box weekly and although it IS a costly thing, it's great for veg! I can't physically carry more shopping most weeks, so it saves my legs (and back and neck and arms and shoulders). But I do sometimes cancel it - which is just a click on their website - to save money. And we always have peas and spinach in the freezer (and chips).

I have set up my July exercise schedule using the Jiggle Free July as a base. It's odd to veer away from my lovely ZWOWs but tis only for a short while. And I reckon I'll incorporate some of her shorter workouts in to what I do anyway!

That said, I cannot face exercise for now as I still tire so easily. But Wimbledon makes me at least think about fitness and fit bodies!!! :D.

This coming Friday is the end of the 45 day challenge I set up with some ladies from work. I think only 2 have stayed the course, plus me, and I reckon it's between them as to who has lost the highest % of bodyweight. But I have invited them - and others - to a Jiggle Free July too, but with no competitiveness this time.

Well done GETCARTER:beer: I love those kind of events and have done 2 winter tough guys myself.

Fmess you have your head firmly in the game, those £££ will start to fall off im sure, the last push is always the hardest.

    Applemuncher how you feeling?

im some stiff today I guess it was going from one extreme to another with being on my feet all day yesterday as opposed to sitting on my bottom in my cab. so off swimming in a bit to see if I can stretch my muscles out.

food has been an odd one with half a pack of mixed nuts and an apple and 2 wholemeal toast, I still haven't gone shopping so hardly any fresh food in despite having a freezer/cupboard full of food but so far today couldn't be bothered to stand and cook something healthy so will have to do a bulk cooking session and make some healthy ready meals soon.

Pizza and salad I think for tea I use the Gracious Pantry clean pizza dough recipe rolled really thin and topped with all sort of goodies (read that as usually anything that's rolling round the bottom of the fridge)

    Have a great evening everyone

It was a pink and fluffy event, nothing like a proper race, more of a fun thing but I seem to want to do more events now, found myself googling Mudderella earlier!

I think it's great you've got others involved in healthy eating and exercising apple muncher. I think most people often just need a bit of support to help them move forwards.

I'm so pleased I've managed a good day! OH bought a huge chocolate bar home but I only had 3 squares and asked him to hide the rest out of sight.

Also managed over 16000 steps :)

Looking forward to bacon, mushrooms and tomato for breakfast :)

I too get DH to hide chocoloate from me, then last night he almost ransacked the place as he forgot where it was.. found it in his bedside drawer.
Another lot was hidden in the oven gloves!

We have a coeliac in the wider family, dairy allergy makes it more tricky too. She was born with the latter then coleac in her late teens.

I gained a 1lb, no idea why..I did eat choc but my meals are very small , not had bread, butter , for weeks.Hey Ho!

    get better soon AM x

Well done getcarter. Doing more events is a good idea, it will give you something to work towards. I plan to do the same myself.

applemuncher - the fact that only a couple of your colleagues are still doing your challenge just shows how hard people find it to carry on with these things. We should all be very proud of ourselves for ploughing on every day.

Yesterday and Friday were my treat days and I took full advantage and ate whatever I wanted without worrying, I ended up feeling uncomfortable and with a stomach ache as I just don't cope well with bigger portions or lots of sugar now. Back to normal today and I will feel much better for it.

I cycled yesterday, not quite as far as planned due to an event we went to in the afternoon but still 8 miles. Today I will run and have a new route in mind which is slightly longer.

During the 6 week holidays I plan to take the children on a long bike ride, I will drive to the train station, catch the train to a town quite a long way by road and cycle back on the canal path, it is 12 miles in total, we will have lunch at the other town and snacks on the way back. I need to get some inners for their bikes just in case so will go that sorted soon. DD is up for it, DS is whining already:rotfl:.

Not sure where your based GETCARTER but https://www.commandochallenge.co.uk/ is a fun one and a great day out.

Enjoy your breakfast Fmess and glad your on the mend Apple muncher.

I have a small gain each month Aggypanthus down to fluid retention could it be that? another one that catches me out now and again is not accounting for the hidden extra cals like if someone adds butter to my jacket spud or the extra splosh of salad dressing, I don't want to spend my life weighing and measuring but do randomly have a day every now and again to keep training my eye to what's a proper measure as I do find my portion sizes do tend to creep up over time. frylight has been a goodsend :)

we are not spinning this morning, there a break in the weather so we are off to do a slice of the coast path instead, im also having a treat day with a pengenna pasty they use a vegan pastry that's fantastic my idea is that is a 6 mile walk "up hill & down dale" to get it so that will work some of the cal's off there is logic to my thinking somewhere :D

    Bfast Fruit, yoghurt & chia
    Lunch veg pasty
    Tea green salad

I started adding chia seed into our diet i've found the extra weight workout really hard on the muscles so hoping the extra protein will help it's high in cals but awesome in protein and omega 3 so really have to be more mindful of my portion sizes :o

    Have a great day eveyone
