This week I shall:
- eat 6+ veg per day
- consume no added sugar
- do 4 sweaty workouts
- get to bed before 10pm
And then we hit half term.
Got the soup down without dribbling any down me - result! So, veggies done, no sugar maintained, still at 1 workout, aiming for 10pm lights out.
Stewby, hope you can keep your resolve tomorrow. Hang in there!
Cherry, I do the home workouts too - love Zuzka Light. What do you do?
HDK, your discipline and organisation are amazing!
Fmess, I used to put £1 in a pot every time I exercised, then buy myself something with it every so often.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I'm so proud of how much exercise you all do! You are such good role models for me!
Today I have had grapes, spinach and peppers. I have done 1 hour and 25 minutes exercise (40 minutes dog walking and a 45 minute exercise class) so that's 105/300 minutes. Tomorrow is going to be tough to fit in any exercise if it rains heavily. If it's dry I'm going to walk the dogs after parents evening. Also managed to stick to just under 1300 calories today. Good day today

Just to keep up with those of you who post your meals:
bfast - usual cottage cheese medley, black coffees
lunch - 7 veg soup (not v nice, I'm afraid! But I have 3 more portions to consume...), carrots and hm hummous, 2 hb eggs
tea - chicken in green thai sauce, spinach, black eye beans and overcooked oven chips. Cott ch pud
snacks - grapes, apple + nuts, handful of cashews
And loads of water. Makes 10+ veg. Plenty of protein. And no added sugar! I was tempted to munch on some dates but as I was at the computer, I'd have made it sticky so decided to wait. Then forgot til now!
Hope to leg it home from work tomorrow and fit in a quick workout before getting dd + friend. Then it's battling the munchies til tea time!
Hope parents eve goes smoothly, fmess.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
It's quite inspiring reading this thread
I am going out on the 2nd of June for a fancy dress party and I am setting myself an aim to lose half a stone!
Ok that might be a bit stupid 7 pound in 10 days...but hey if I aim high and come up short at least I tried and if I lose 3-4 pound I am sure I will still be grinning. (If only my scales was accurate for me to know for sure?? I got on it earlier and it was sitting around 13'3 / 13'4
I suppose a positive thing is everyone (who sticks to?) I see doing dieting always seem to lose the most the first week and this is kind of my new start so..!!
I am really really lacking exercise but I am really happy with myself as I have not had any cravings or been that 'hungry' despite cutting back so well over the past 3 days... (for me)
Today my main enemy has been drink but I've had;
2 pepsi cans and 2 glasses of milk which are both loaded tbf even if the milk is slightly healthy.
1 slice of buttered bread with a tin of pasta (123kcals only for the tin! :-)(
Pork, potatoes, carrots and broc with gravy for tea ( a rather large portion but I am hoping the fact I haven't ate much during the day equals out the large kcal tea meals?)
Tomorrows aim...EXERCISE ! Main Goal : Reduce stomach fat..so need to focus on exercise around this?People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
Morning all
Really didn't want to get out of bed this morning, weather is only fit for ducks, putting my lack of oomph down to lack of refined sugarthink my body is protesting due to lack of cake, I have honey in the house so will do a touch of baking over the weekend the lads chocolate bourbons are mighty tempting at the moment.
Exercise goals achieved yesterday, altho diet didn't fare as well when we decided to enjoy the evening with a wander we picked up a bag of chips for tea and sat down at Tintagel castle, work them off with the hike back up so definitely no guilt
Rest day for me I been out and about so much this week I have to catch up on some housework.
Bfast eggs&beans
Lunch sandwich & fruit
Tea Jacket spud cheese & salad
Kayalana what are you dressing as? best of luck with the PE Fmess and Hiya to cherry24. hope everyone has a great day0 -
Hi Everyone,
tori.k - Hi, I love honey on yoghurt or ice cream. Otherwise I will sometimes dip strawberries in melted dark chocolate. This seems to stave off greater sugar cravings.
Kayalana99 - I do a combination of cardio, strength training and ab exercises to try and reduce stomach fat as it's really difficult to spot train this area. Unfortunately for me, diet pretty much determines whether my stomach gets flatter or not.
apple muncher - well done on all the veg. That's pretty impressive. I'm lucky to get 5 in.
I have a kettlebell, weights, resistance bands and rowing machine. I've checked out the Zuzka Light videos and they look goodI do xhit daily, fitsugar, random yoga ones and whatever others I can find.
Fmess - well done regarding the exercise. Wish I could manage to get in workouts longer than 1 hour at moment.
Today:
Breakfast: Milk, Banana
Lunch: Chilli and lime chicken sandwich
Dinner: Pulled Pork and sweet potato mash
Exercise: Rowing machine and online videos0 -

Cherry, I had to giggle! You want to workout longer - and I'm all for cutting down the time. No way could I maintain the intensity I do for much more that 25 mins max!
Weight was down again this morning. But it's confession time.... tis a colleagues bday and she made cakes and meringues for the staff. She made g-f meringues with me in mind, cos she's so luvverly. Meringue with cream, hm lemon curd + fruit. So I had three. Pure greed. And although she assures me she put in minimal sugar, MY FACE IS ITCHING LIKE BILLYO (that's the technical term).
Sooooo, I've had my grotty soup - t'wasn't quite so grotty this time, some cheese (run out of hummus) and grapes and almonds. Am full now so will stop and save the hb eggs for when I get home.
Aha :j exercise news: got in another ZWOW this morning, being extra careful re my calf muscle. 12 mins of: 10 renegade row with 5k DBs; 10 overhead lunge with one 5k DB; 10 burpee (with a gentle jump!); 20 crab toe touch; and another exercise that I can't currently recall! I completed 2 rounds and 3 rows. :TNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Trying to eat a bit healthier today. Bought some swordfish steaks for tea to have with boiled spuds and salad. Also having salad for my lunch with a naughty slice of leftover cheese n onion pie wich which hopefully curb any urges to snack this afternoon.
The bathroom scales this morning said :eek:stones and 10lbs but I will check on the Wii tomorrow (still need to put batteries in it!) I'm certainly not feeling/looking any slimmer:o0 -
Well I'm still going......Shred day 4.....struggled to get out of bed....almost talked myself out of it.....but forced myself to carry on!! I also upped the weights this morning & could tell! was pleased as I actually managed to do push ups today....the easier version, but did them all, rather than just the 1 or 2 I managed on Day 1! I don't find it an enjoyable workout (is there such a thing??) but I feel it's working....so will carry on...
Am continuing to eat fairly healthily (although had a kit kat..4 fingers today). Weighed my self this morning, weighed 9st 8.8lbs so it's going in the right direction:j2nd January 2015: Total £4970.70 Total now: £4878.88 :eek:Mum & Dad £100/£1795.00[STRIKE]Next £135.70/£135.70[/STRIKE]Balance now £0 :j
