    Hi guys,

I got back Sunday from hols can safety say I gained weight as by the end of the week I was getting red lines from my shorts!! Although the scales tells me I am somewhere between 13 ~ 13 and half ..still!!

Done really well past two days and going strong today :-) Havn't done much exercise but my kcal count has been well under 1,500 for past two days and today I haven't even started bar a few drinks that will add up...

Stay strong! :-) Off for a walk to the post office soon...not much but hey it's a start. I've been busy catching up with work since I got back so I can get myself into a routine of taking the kids for a walk / park soon.

    My journey starts here :-)

Thank you for all the sympathy! :D It's not as bad as I feared although I have had to curtain my usual running around the school, and start behaving like a grown-up!

But I'll be keeping off the leaping around exercises, just substituting them for less plyometric ones and possibly increasing the time or reps.

Thank you Fmess for starting this thread. This inspired me to put out the challenge at work. And a couple of ladies have said that it's not for them this time around. They seem to think i'll do another! Suits me. I'm loving the conversations it's engendering already. And they seem truly grateful to be doing it, which gives my ego a nice boost. So I'm passing that ego boost onto you Fmess for the inspiration.

Respect to those of you who count calories! Too faffy for me, tho I'm quite happy to be anal about other stuff.

Day 3 of seriously off the sugar and I'm down already from Monday's encounter with the scales. Not saying it'll always be this easy, but the tightening of the tummy area feels good! And I honestly eat soooooo much!

We seem to have gotten out of posting food diaries - or at least I have, probaly because I was off track. I like the 'set your own targets for the week and comment on them daily' approach. Because I don't want to have to tell you all that I didn't make it.

I made a soup yesterday with 7 veggies in it, so with that, I easily hit my veg target - yippee! Haven't eaten it yet today - must do that before the pupils return to the room!

Best go and spoon the liquid in - and try not to drip any down my front... The kids know better than to bother mentioning when I've missed my mouth - they seem to think it's normal for me!! :rotfl:

    Hi,

I hope you don't mind if I join your lovely thread. I could do with some motivation.

2 years ago, I dropped from 11.5 stone to 10 stone. I have now crept back up to 10.5 stone and would like to get as close to 10 as I can before my holiday in 5 weeks time.

This is mainly because my summer clothes are a bit on the tight side and I can't really spend any more money on clothes. I also want to get back on track.

I work from home and exercise about 4 times a week. My eating is very sporadic and is my main problem. My OH wants to lose weight too as he is self conscious in t-shirts and obviously with the hot weather, this is less than ideal. I hope to motivate us both.

So far today, I've had plenty of water, a banana with peanut butter (it's nice I promise) and I will be having a chicken salad for lunch.

    Thanks for reading.

Welcome Cherry24. 5 weeks is plenty of time to get a few pounds off. Good luck.

Today I have been thrilled and amazed to find out that I have inspired two people to get some exercise, it makes me really happy. Our school lollipop man is knocking on a bit now but this morning he told me that he had started walking again, he had to stop his longer walks because of a knee problem but wanted to get moving again and seeing me in my exercise gear every day had made him want to do it - so he did.

Then later this morning I met a friend and he told me that he and his son went cycling on Sunday, they went on the cycle path near where we live and called at a park for some snacks, they had to take a short cut home and push their bikes but they were out doing it and they enjoyed it. I then frightened him by suggesting he come out with me - he went pale.

Thank you apple muncher :) It is inspiring to hear you getting others involved, it's like a mini healthy revolution.

Welcome Cherry. Well done on losing the before and for only putting on half a stone over two years. What helped you to lose the weight last time?

I'm off to an exercise class later but a little gutted as I signed up to the gym with a friend, but now she rarely goes and says she doesn't like classes. It is my nearest gym and I probably would have joined on my own but can't help feeling sad as it would be much more fun to go with a friend.

Embarrassing, fmess, I did once (a few years ago)went the wrong way and completely knocked some one over (to the ground), she was lovely about it but I was mortified and never went back to that particular class....

Had a chocolate favoured 99cal muller mousse, does that count as trying something new? Was gorgeous.
Just had poached eggs, bacon, sausage, mushrooms and beans for tea, as late home.
    Aerobics and cx works tonight.

Today had gone well until my mum needed me as she wasn't feeling well. As a result, I had only really slept for a couple of hours and needed a sugar fix.
Got my mum all sorted and and went back to sleep for another 3 hours and woke up in desperate need of fajitas. I get funny cravings every so often and today was fajitas.
    :(

Absolutely destroyed the diet again today. Had about 2040 calories.

Back on nightshift tonight and the plan is for tomorrow to be a starve day. So less than 600 calories for the entire day. Starting with some weetabix in the morning.
    :)

Erm... my cockiness has gone now and I am back to crossing my fingers and hoping I can recover from these days of disasterous dieting.

Hi everyone, thanks for the welcome.

dolly - I think it's great that you are inspiring people. Hopefully some of the inspiration will rub off on me :)

Fmess - I used to run 20 miles a week and do insanity / p90x. I also used a calorie counting phone app.
I now do more home workouts as I have quite a lot of equipment. I also like to do xhit daily workouts on Youtube.
I know what you mean about friends and gyms but the fact that you are still going is a victory in itself. Lots of people are tempted to give up after friends / family drop out.

apple muncher - Hi, I also like almond butter especially with cut up apple. Bit of a nut butter fan.
