Snuck in a sneaky extra workout today! ZWOW 24, 10 mins of: 15 squat to sumo squat with touchdown; 15 crab toe touch (ie 30); 10 divebomber; 10 prisoner get up with squat jump. I managed 3 full rounds and was rather red in the face at the end!
I have nibbled a lot today. Grrrrr to self! When we went to visit friends, dh bought some pastries, which ruled out sharing them with me(!) but I'd taken my pot of almonds, and they make a mean coffee, so I was happy. I had a good lunch, but then tended to get up and grab a handful of cashews, brazils, sultanas.... Pure greed! We'll see if I'm still friends with my scales tomorrow....

Hello.
Hoping I can join in toooooooo.
Will be weighing myself in the morning (was on nightshift last night so wouldn't have been fair to weigh myself today).
I think I am about 222lb (will let you know for definite tomorrow).
:embarasse
So.... my motivation for wanting to lose weight:
* All my pictures look awful. I now have a double chin which means that my usual technique of taking "face shots" to hide my body now doesn't work.
* I have four years until we get married and I am determined to like my wedding pictures.
* I have lots of pretty clothes and am fed up of having "fat days" where I give them all to my relatives. I want to wear them!!
* Completely selfish but my cousin has just lost a lot of weight and looks amazing so I have a little bit of the green monster beginning to show through.
:embarasse
I have two pairs of combats that I can fit at the moment (they are getting a wee bit tighter) and I have six pairs in one size smaller plus a two week holiday in June so I would rather have those for this holiday. So the aim for the end of May is to have lost 8lbs and to fit comfortably into those trousers. (then keep going to lose another 74lbs).
:undecided
Anyways... today was day number 1.
Breakfast: Erm... was on nightshift and ended up having 3 bourbon biscuits. (was failing fast and needed sugar).
Supper: Home-made chicken soup (basically chicken, leek, carrot, potato and chicken bovril) and two slices of bread.
Snacks: Juice. The "robinson's squash'd" diluting juice. Basically to help me up my water intake.
So... I am doing the 5/2 diet. I am also using the "myfitnessapp" to help me keep track of what I am eating/drinking.
05/05/14 - 419 calories (starve day).
Sorry for the long post. I promise my future ones will be much shorter.Mortgage: £0/£80,329.91

HI Stewby.
Congrats on your engagement, I spent years working nights it's does really pay havoc on your body's metabolism.
Game on for doing the 5/2 I don't have the self discipline for such a low cal count, I do eat (mostly) healthy but seem's im a fan of big portions, I broke out in a cold sweat when read that a portion of cheese was 30g with SW, (I've still yet to actually master that one)
Apple muncher. sound's like we might need to have a whip round and buy you a crash helmet, ZWOW..sound's completely barmy..I love it0 -
Hello All,I'm glad I stumbled across this thread.Well it's a Monday so a good day to start 'a healthy eating plan'.I'm a seriel dieter, seemed to done everyone going, but the one I do best at is low fat and lots of walking.I work very early mornings,so when I come in from work this morning I took the dog out.Normally hubby does that me,just being lazy!!so did a 20min walk round the park then I will do a longer walk later this afternoon.Foodwise,I'll have 3 Weetabix and sliced banana with skimmed milk will save my bread allowance for a sandwich at lunch.I will be back later and tell you how my day went.Good luck with your weigh-ins.Going to go with my last weigh in,my downfall is getting too obsessed with those damn scales, ta ta :-)0

Today will be 2 miles walk and ballroom dancing, so not proper exercise but as close as its getting today!
Stewby how do you find doing 5:2? I haven't really tried it before but am considering it to confuse my body a bit! Do you have any handy hints?
Food Br: pineapple
Lunch: rainbrow trout and salad
Dinner: pork stirfry maybe with cashews thrown in.
Lots of water. Trying for a better food day after yesterdays study snacks! Assignment complete though0 -
I'm so angry at myself.
Got on scales yesterday from 28th April and it would seem I've gained near half a stone?? Its probably not that much considering my scales is so crap (I hope!!)
I thought with all the walking I was doing I was doing well....
It's a new week...new start...can't keep gaining weight it's affecting me in so many ways.
So far today I've had orange squash lol, I am thinking about having Jacket potato for Lunch with beans.
So today will be
Lunch: Jacket Potato + Beans
Tea: Cottage Pie
Exercise : Already done 20min today to get some ink, lots of work to do today but will go to the park later if I get done.
I've just been looking at the Kcals in a jacket and it looks about 280 + tin beans is about 250 without checking I think? So straight away thats 500 on barely owt...sigh. No wonder I am gaining weightPeople don't know what they want until you show them.0 -

I only have half a tin of beans on my jacket, would you be able to do that? Do you feel like you've gained half a stone or are your scales really out, could you weigh some sugar or flour on them to check?
tori - well done on your weight loss.
Welcome stewby - you are aiming for a similar weight loss to me.
I've been straight out on my bike from the school run, I did 45 minutes and it was a really hard route in parts. Will walk the dog for an hour later and I was going to run this evening but everything feels tired so I won't as overdoing it is not a good idea.
B/F - 2 x weetabix, soya milk, coffee
phase 2 of B/F after bike ride, slice of fruit toast, flora, coffee
Lunch - chilli and wedges, fruit and yoghurt
Tea - Salmon with chilli butter, rice.
Snacks will be fruit.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
