Had a good week food wise, and don't feel like I'm missing the naughty stuff. Scales hovering between 10st2 and 10st1, which is purely due to dietary changes.
Had a go at white water rafting on Friday. My old swimsuit doesn't fit currently, which confirms why this lifestyle change is so necessary. It was fantastic fun and a good workout.
Plan for coming week is to continue focus on smart food choices, and continue to improve water consumption (gets easier with every passing day as my classroom is a sauna)! I also want to research home workouts with a view to starting my exercise regime next week.

Most chuffed with myself! Went out for a walk - 4.5 miles in 1hr20 - seeing as Hubby was heading out to the footy. Think he felt a touch guilty as he said if we're (translation: if he's) up early we could go out tomorrow morning for a walk or even in the evening after he's signed off.
Feel really good for it and saw a pair of swans with 8 teeny cygnets
Decided on hm pizza for tea tonight.0 -
Congratulations on the weight loss pavlovs dogs and on the general level of exercise people :j
Just got back from a class at the gym :T I really enjoy it and need to make it a regular Saturday morning thing. Also signed up for aqua aerobics on Monday morning, since I'm off
Just had lunch in the sunshine on the garden; halloumi with some veg (no salad in!)
Dinner is going to be sausages and veg, no potato though
Looking forward to walking the dogs in this lovely weather in a bit, maybe after some hoovering (that's exercise too, right? :rotfl:)LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Really feeling drained today seemed to have left my va va voom in bed this morning, Just faced Trago Mills which is never a good idea on a weekend, I forgot to place the click& collect so spent best part of a hour in the supermarket so now have the urge to bundle up on the sofa for a snooze, so best make some lunch and get outside and on with it.
Food
Bfast wholemeal toast & tea
Lunch scrambled egg on wholemeal toast
Tea veggie burger (no roll), salad & wedges.
snacks, cake & fruit
Quite a lot of bread today for me but I now only use the smaller 400g bread than the larger loafs been a good compromise as I adapted really quickly to the smaller size it doesn't feel like im only getting half a sandwich, it's the small changes like this that have added up really well for my weightloss.0 -
clippy, I second what was said about nut butters, although I personally don't like the pumpkin seed one. I have an opened jar of it in the cupboard, with no idea how to use it up!
pavlovsdog that white water rafting sounds awesome! Being shortsighted, I've always avoided water sports, as I do like to be able to see more than a blur! Re home workouts, I use ZWOW by Zuzka Light. Have a look on youtube if you're interested. There's a mixture of bodyweight ones and ones with weights.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
AM - I'm also short sighted, so couldn't see much... added to the terror/fun
thanks for the recommendation, shall have a nosey. I have dodgy joints, so I need to remember that I am NOT Jessica Ennis! Need to build up slowly but surely.know thyselfNid wy'n gofyn bywyd moethus...0 -

I reckon that if you're prepared to do wwrafting with restricted vision, then ZWOWs will be a breeze! They are generally under 15 mins. Or you can decide to do as many rounds as poss within 10 or 12 mins. Then the next time you do that workout, you can see if you've improved. Or you can take it easy. It gives you a compsrison that is specific for you.
I have dodgy wrists and sometimes doing press ups - or any exercise requiring the weight on my hands - is painful. A couple of weeks ago when I returned to ZWOW I did some on my knees, so less weight on my hands, or did them on my fists. Today, I'm pleased to say, I did some 35 burpees and 30 dive bombers all with my hands flat. Progress! :jNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -

What are dive bombers? I've got an image of you throwing yourself at the floor!LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

It can get like that!
Start off in a downward dog (hands and feet on floor, bum up in air) leading with your head, sweep down and end up in the cobra position (still hand and toes only on floor but head up high). Then reverse the movement back up - this is the harder bit. There may well be a 'how to' on youtube that shows it better than words.NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0
