Fmess/Melonade - I think we all have the same problem on some days you just can't seem to stop yourself. Yesterday was harder for me (I did OK in the end) because it was so blooming cold again.

I get weighed on Friday for the same reason as you Fmess, after the weekend would not be the best time for me.

I got weighed this morning and have lost a further 2lb this week.

Those of you who do the Jillian Michaels Shred workout, what size weight do you use? I am thinking of getting the dvd but wasn't sure about the weights. Sorry if you have already read this over on the NSK thread but I know several people over there have mentioned the dvd before too.

    Today is a rest day.

Breakfast - oats so simple porridge, soya milk/water, coffee, fruit toast with flora.
Lunch - rice and mackerel, fruit and yoghurt.
Tea - home made pepperoni/spicy sausage pizza.

    Snacks - fruit.

apple muncher - scootering is definitely exercise.

I've been office bound this morning (end of year), so after breakfast (wholemeal toast and real butter, with a nice cup of tea) all I've had is a black coffee with sugar and half a packet of chocolate chip cookies. Not good.

But now I'm off to do a bit more wallpaper stripping, then off to B&Q for some weight training (well, worktop lifting). Will definitely try to have more fruit/veg today - weight loss isn't the issue, but I definitely need to improve the diet a bit from a general health point of view. I tend to cook from scratch, but I don't have as much fruit/veg as I should, and I've started to consciously drink more water (I have barely any salt, and find I'm hardly ever actually thirsty).

And the forecast is lovely for the weekend, so we're going OUT and moving about.

What are all your plans for the Bank Holiday?

Thank you to all those who have endorsed scootering as exercise! I may get dd along when I next go for a JOG - she tells me that I do not RUN, I JOG as she thinks I'm slow. Cheeky little miss! She even swapped scooters with me for a bit and I had to use her tiddly one where my foot doesn't even fit on the footplate, so has to go at an awkward angle!

Today is a day off exercise, but tomorrow's is a biggie!!! Ha ha - what else is the weekend for?

Am having a hungry day, but can only eat what I have (big cake in staffroom is a no no as it contains gluten) so am making myself wait til lunchtime. I'm not really hungry, to be honest, just not super busy therefore feel I must stuff my face!

    Gotta go teach some kiddies!

    Hi all,

Wish I could get out and about this weekend but not much chance of that. Hubby is working from home Sat/Sun and I'm working Mon for a promotion out company run. Means we can't go far as we're waiting on emails.

    Today's food:
    - 2 crumpets with marmite
    - grapes
    - slice of cheese and onion pie with beans (gave one slice to Hubby as he was hungry) yoghurt
    - oven fish & chips
I'm going to try and refrain from alcohol tonight.

No exercise tonight but intend to do some Wii dance tomorrow, early morning walk on Sunday hopefully and, does ironing count as exercise because that's my plan for Monday ;)

Off work today but supposed to be writing assignment - haven't started yet! Must get on with it, looking at the positives I have done some exercise and tried the skipping rope which was a freebie and has been in the cupboard for I don't know how long - but I think its too flimsy and light as I'm struggling to skip and not because I'm too knackered! :(

We all have days where we eat too much and it can have little or no nutritional value. Since childhood I have hidden some of the food I eat from other people and as I live alone I find this a really hard thing to stop myself doing. I end up buying crap and binge eating (I don't purge) as well as eating the healthy food I also like. Hence the accountability thing being a massive one for me! I can lose weight if I can get a handle on that element of my eating. Any thoughts or ideas to assist breaking such habits?

Weights & cardio at home this morning done.
Food: br: two eggs cooked in coconut oil and cherry toms.
Lu: Homemade watercress soup and handful of pumpkin seeds/almonds.
    Dinner: Smoked Mackerel salad
Green tea with lemon and water.

Planning on a visit to a duck decoy and a walk in the bluebell woods. Hopefully you will all see some sunshine over the BH and get outside to enjoy it too :) Look forward to hearing what you get up to...

oldestgnome - the rope skipping ropes are no good you need a plastic one to get any speed up or an old fashioned leather one.

Sun has been shining today but didn't warm up until this afternoon. That didn't really matter as I have been working inside. Walked the dog but just half an hour due to work, may do another half hour later.

We have no firm plans for the BH weekend will just see how it goes but we will definitely be out and about as much as possible.

Hi :hello: can I join in? You all seem very motivated and that is exactly what I need to keep me on the straight and narrow.

I have been putting off losing weight for quite some time and now I would like to lose about 50lbs in total . To make this seem a bit easier I am going to break it down into smaller chunks. I would like to lose 5lbs by the end of May, hopefully this is achievable.

Well, we decided that instead of going to B&Q we would hit the garden instead. OH attacked the patio with a pressure washer, and I attacked the 'flower' beds. Now that I've got the weeds out there's nothing in them at all!!

I've also managed to get out for a walk in the evening sunshine. Went further than last time, and also jogged part of the way.

So, I've had a good anti-osteoporosis day with lots of weight bearing exercise.

Food - wholemeal toast and a cup of tea for breakfast, coffee and too many choc chip cookies during the morning, small quiche with salad for lunch, more tea and some fruit mid-afternoon, and half a ham and mushroom pizza with more salad for tea. Will be having more tea and maybe some cheese and biscuits during the evening. And of course I've been drinking my water too.

Summing up - good exercise day, but disappointed that both lunch and dinner were based on convenience foods (bought quiche and bought pizza). And here's me reckoning to cook from scratch most of the time!!

I managed to keep the hunger gremlins at bay. When it came to the lunch break, I got busy, then realised I was outside on duty for the 2nd half, so only had time to eat my eggs! Got time later so ate everything - I usually pack too much!

    bfast - cottage cheese medley
lunch - pea, spinach, rocket soup, hummous and carrors, 2 hb eggs
tea - remains of yesterday's chicken satay with homemade chips and peas, followed by my 'pud' (cott ch, dried milk and cream mix (whipped cream and cream cheese mixed))
snacks - 2 apples, almonds, brazils, some pistachios, little dried mango

9,500 steps so far, so I may hit the magic 10k...

    Time to confess!

Breakfast - two slices of eggy bread
    Lunch - cheese spread sandwich
Dinner - steak, chips and salad
Snacks - lots of gluten free chocolate cake (ooops)

No exercise today as OH did the dog walking and was out for a meal this evening.

Looking forward to a fair bit of exercise this weekend :)
