Epic workout this evening they are really upping the pace, im going to feel it tomorrow.
I have cake urges.. it's about the only thing I haven't in the house unless I make one, so going to give an apple sauce cake a bash tomorrow, Normally it's swimming on a Saturday but going to double up with a swim after spinning on Sunday instead, not getting the day off as there is work to do outside and looks like we have the weather so making the most.0 -
evening all
so i was very naughty on mon and tue and ate rubbish and did no exercise
but been good for last three daysdid body step and swim on wed, body pump and swim yest and a swim today (legs kill after yest
)
I tend to have smaller meals (except breakfast) and lots of snacks. i have a fast metabolism so eat little and often. so today i had-
b- big bowl of scotch porridge with sk milk, spoonful of honey and sprinkling of almond flakes
s1- chopped carrot, cucumber and beetroot
s2- handful of mixed nuts
l- beans on toast, low fat greek yoghurt with raspberries and a satsuma.
s3- apple
s4- banana
d- yellow chicken curry (no rice)
s5- homous with cucumber and peppers
4 cups of coffee and lots and lots of water. oh and small glass of no added sugar cranberry juice at breakfast.
i am addicted to sugar so tbh find it easier to not eat it than restrict it. i binge really badly on sugar once i have had a taste and it takes days before i stop. so giving it up again (except alcohol but rarely drink- although night out tomorrow!)
keep up the good work everyone :T:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
what nut butters do people recommend? and smooth or chunky?
i really hate peanuts as dont like the taste really as makes me think of bird food plus they stick in my teeth! so looking for something else. i like most other nuts
also want it to be quite natural as dont want something really processed with loads of added stuff!
thanks:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -
Clippy - Meridian do a good range of nut and seed butters, mostly organic with no added nasties. I'm currently eating an organic smooth almond butter which has two ingredients, almonds 99.5% and salt! The full range is not available in all supermarkets but I have bought them in Holland and Barrett, Sainsbobs and Mr T's
They do cashew, hazelnut, almond and pumpkin seed that I've tried. Some smooth some crunchy.0 -
Morning all,
Only had a glass of sherry last night (ooh, I sound like my nanna) and drank shloer beforehand despite Hubby opening a bottle of wine.
It's a gorgeous morning here, going to get out as much washing as I can today.
Food for today
- small bowl of dry crunchy nut cornflakes at 7am
-sauage and bacon butty at 9am once Hubby wakes up
- steak pudding and chips (from the freezer)
- not sure on tea yet...
...may make a pizza and chill with a DVD, I also have everything in to make a duck and plum stir fry (can't wait to try this) but also have a curry meal deal from supermarket (just bung it all in the oven to heat)
What we don't have today, we'll have tomorrow and Monday. Will see what Hubby fancies.
Exercise - think I might take myself out for a walk. I think some fresh air will do me good. Otherwise, I'll end up inside all weekend (as we're working from home 12- 6) with cabin fever!
Have a fun day xxx0 -
Morning all,
Done something a bit off this morning. After I had my toast, I had some chocolate cake, but there is method in my madness! I would never be able to resist the chocolate cake, knowing it was in the house, so I ate it now, so that I will make myself do more exercise to burn it off and in theory, the earlier I eat, the more chance I'll burn it off? I know I sound crazy but it's my version of damage limitation :rotfl:
Got a gym class booked in a bit, then going to walk all the dogs and clean the house!

Good morning! It's a lovely sunny day here.
Got my workout in early as we may be out for much of the rest of the day. I'd planned a toughie; and it was! :j
ZWOW 1: 3x: 10 dive bomber; 5 burpee; 40 BW squat with side leg lift; 5 burpee; 20 side plank lift; 5 burpee; 20 pistol squat; 5 burpee = 20 mins = 2 rounds + to 23 squat w leg lift
Dd loved each and every exercise as it gave her the opportunity to bouce round me on her bouncy hopper, or pretend I was about to wallop her with my leg/head/bottom!
I've had my usual breakfast, but we're visiting firends for lunch, so will have to see how that goes...NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
Hi Guys,
Everyone seems to be doing well..! I feel I am doing better on the exercise but not on the eating...I need a plan !
Yesterday wasn't to bad ~ OH wanted dominoes but I said no as we had Mcd's the day before (go mee!!) but I had a lot of snacks yesterday and it all adds up....we are out of those chocolate ball things I have been eating now and sweets again so fingers crossed I can do better, going shopping today as well so will pick up some potatoes for jackets and maybe even some fruit if I'm feeling in a healthy mood
On exercise front I got out for an hours walk in morning which is a new for me...I always go in the afternoon as with two kids under two its hard to get everyone organised to go out haha and then in the afternoon I had about 25min 'power walk' pushing a pram to the post office and back...which is also a new for me usually I just stroll around and annoy my OH with the speed I walk..
Small steps ...!People don't know what they want until you show them.0 -
Small steps definitely add up
I went out for a jog this morning, well I say jog more like scouts pace with intervals in to get the heart pumping! Now off out for walks in the sunshine taking picnic for lunch but dinner is beyond my control may be one of the days I have dessert in my target this month
Enjoy the sunshine all, happy days!0 -

Pushing a pushchair at a good speed is a really good work out. When mine were tiny I had one of those tandem pushchairs (one behind the other) and it was really hard work.
applemuncher - I have no idea what half of your workout entailed but it sounds good.
I toyed with the idea of getting up early and riding my bike but didn't bother setting the alarm as I don't really like working out early it gives me a pounding headache so I will cycle later in the day and skip aswell.
I am having to wait in this morning to see if Royal Mail can finally be bothered to deliver the part for my oven, if they don't I have no idea how I am going to manage all weekend without it.
Breakfast - Oats so simple with soya milk, fruit toast, flora, 2 x coffee
Lunch - cous cous and chilli (both leftovers), yoghurt and fruit
Tea - that will depend on the oven
I will have supper tonight which will be a curry ready meal with sides but me and DH share one meal and one pack of sides.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler
