Hi all have been reading the thread and wondered if I can join in? My current weight after losing over a stone is 12st 2lbs I would ideally like to be 10st 7lbs but this won't happen over night. My aim for the beginning of June is lose 5lbs. I think this thread will help motivate me as I work 13 hour shifts.

    It can get like that!

Start off in a downward dog (hands and feet on floor, bum up in air) leading with your head, sweep down and end up in the cobra position (still hand and toes only on floor but head up high). Then reverse the movement back up - this is the harder bit. There may well be a 'how to' on youtube that shows it better than words.

Ah I see! I have done some yoga so that makes sense.

I envisaged it being some high impact move where you threw yourself at the floor (possibly head first) and then had to jump back up quickly :rotfl:

DellyC of course you can join, and anyone else that I've not replied directly too. The more the merrier :T

Did a two mile walk this afternoon with one of the dogs whilst OH threw toys and balls to tire out the rest of the pack. Seems to have worked as they are all fast asleep and it's blissfully quiet for the first time today.

I have succumbed to a Mars ice cream and flapjack this afternoon

Planning another gym visit tomorrow and need to walk all the boys whilst OH is at work so plenty of exercise to be done :)

Well my weightloss plan has slowed a bit this week. Was supposed to see my personal trainer on Tuesday but work decided that they needed to send me to the USA! I was there a total of about 30 hours before I flew back lol.

So my diet and sleep was all messed up and now I have a bag full of American chocolates. Only the good ones though!

But now that I'm back to normal, its been going ok. I had eggs and toast for breakfast, followed by a pizza express pizza (ok not so good) but other than that I haven't had much today! I started off the week so well with salads, but I also did have salad and jacket potato yesterday for dinner.

I might plan to go gym tomorrow, even though I've got a sore knee. Maybe I'll work on the weights rather than concentrate on the cardio.

Another active day today, and my hip is no longer bothering me at all.

We'd planned to not do very much, it being bank holiday weekend an'all - we ended up having a very pleasant saunter around Saltaire and coffee in the sunshine, then home for lunch and then I sorted out the lawn edges while OH cut the grass. Lots of bending and stretching, getting up and down, and lifting. It's got to be good!! And cheaper than the gym (well, until I'm ready to start planting, anyway)

    Morning all,

It looks rather damp and grey out today. Don't think we'll be going out for a walk this morning...not that Hubby's up anyway ;)

We had a DVD night last night and I'm pleased to say we had no nibbles and I only had 2 cans of cider.

    Today's menu:
    - crunchy nut cornflakes and 2 crumpets
    - HM pizza (left over from last night) chips (maybe) and beans
    - duck and plum stir fry - plenty of veg :)

If it dries up, will drag Hubby out this evening for a walk. If not I'll be tackling the ironing mountain!

    Morning everyone :)

I'm so impressed with all the food diaries and exercise :)

I ache from my exercise class yesterday but glad I can feel it having an effect :) Today I'm planning on using the cardio machines at the gym and then walking the dogs later.

    Breakfast was flapjack
Lunch will probably be halloumi salad and dinner is a roast dinner

I'm so glad it's a three day weekend as I have tonnes of work to get through and wouldn't get as much exercise in if I only had the two days.

Lunch will grab a salad or sandwich while we are out
Tea 5 beans&eggs on toast or soup

    Welcome newbies.

Sharon87 - your work trip sounds exhausting.

Fmess - your version of divebombers sounds very hard core:rotfl:.

DH and me did our bike ride yesterday, it was tough, there was one very, very long uphill stretch, the whole route was about 8 miles in total. I did my usual 500 skips when I got back too.

Friday and Saturday are treat days for me so I am back to normal eating now.

I have a gammon joint in the slow cooker for tea which we will have with veg and potatoes today. Not sure about lunch at the moment but have had porridge for breakfast and 2 coffees.

Will cycle again today I think if not I will go for a run or maybe a run and shorter cycle straight after.

    Have a good day all.

I find divebombers really hard particularly trying to control the backwards bit! You are all inspirational in what you are fitting into busy lives :)

I am celebrating eating clean yesterday with two meals away from home, one a picnic I provided so helped me control what I had. Had lovely walks in the sunshine among bluebells and a working windmill too.

    Yesterday: Br Tuna and broccoli
Lunch 2 HB eggs, crudit!s and cherry toms.
Dinner BBQ steak/venison sausage, salad, strawberries and cream & two glasses of red wine. 2 dark choc truffles.

    Today: Breakfast strawberries.
    Lunch HM Watercress soup
Dinner Rainbow trout and roast veg
Stewed rhubarb and natural yoghurt maybe some nuts/seeds.

Will be doing some gardening and maybe some decorating, also some kind of weight based workout. I have a ton of work and an assignment to finish at least we have BH Monday tomorrow :)
