Had a fab bike ride with DS this aft. We did a section on an old bridleway that was full of ruts and holes and I was just pleased that I managed to stay on the bike.
I am soooo hungry at the moment though. Any tips? I wonder if I am just not eating enough for the calories I am burning. Any thoughts on healthy snacks other than fruit. I know nuts are good but I am not keen.
When I get back from running/cycling I have a spoon of peanut butter, lots of calories plus the hit of protein and fat helps your body recover. It may not be good if you don't like nuts though. I also like crackers and houmous.
Today I am cycling regardless of the rain. I ran yesterday, I did a different route and it was through fields uphill, I hate running on grass but I have survived it. Did 1000 skips when I got home, lots of different types of skips and speeds. I also walked the dog for an hour in the woods in the morning then 45 minutes in the evening - poor dog, plus 40 minutes school run walking. The more I do the more energetic I feel.

Dolly you make me feel tired just reading your posts. I've managed to do my dumbell exercises each day and feeling a little more toned, and have lost 2lb. Having a diet buddy definitely helps motivate me, and as she's lost 4lb in our first week hopefully she feels the same too!
Just need to stop making excuses and restart the regular running / biking - was due to go for bike ride this morning but then remembered was taking DS2 to Open Morning for prospective secondary school. Hope to get a run in tomorrow before their football, if I get time. Otherwise Monday is not an option, I WILL go.#21 Save £12k in 2025 £12577.35/£20000

I'm still resting -have no choice! It's been a cold/virus that's made my muscles so weary. I did manage my 3 days at work, and tried to rest on the other days.... But had to go to work today for Open Morning - on the buses, so rather a lot of walking too.
Once again am wiped out, but am not doing church tomrrow, so hoping for a good rest!
So, I promise I AM listening to my body yorkshirelass! Unable to do anything else!
But I am also eating v well despite 'wanting' sugary stuff. Fruit seems to suffice for now.
Keep on exercising and eating well guys! I'll be back before Christmas.... I hope!NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
I hope you are all doing well, ladies
I have been off my diet for a while, gained some weight back but it's not too bad, still fit into my ne clothes.
Today I met my dear friend who I see maybe once a year and she was sooo encouraging! She said I look very good now and asked me to keep my current weight or go slimer - I like her honesty!!
Hopefully that will get me back on track0 -
Had a bad, bad weekend. Takeaway Friday after the gym, 2 packets of space raider crisps yesterday. HM biscuits every day (only 1 each day though), and cauliflower cheese last night. Oh Subway on Saturday too! Haven't done any exercise since Friday night either, though did sort out my wardrobes, bunged couple of bits on ebay and did some decorating yesterday!
Now I'm going work for a rest.

Hi all.
It is throwing it down here today and really dark too. I was going to go cycling but decided to see how the weather pans out for the rest of the day and went to the gym instead. Yesterday I ran in the woods and did 4 sets of the wooden steps, I do run now I am no longer a jogger:D.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

The bad weather is a horrid surprise! Feeling chilly indoors.

I'm plodding along with the dumbbell routine every morning, only takes around 20 mins and everything getting a little firmer. Also helps me warm up when I get out of my bed in the mornings - it really has gotten colder these last few days, suppose we've been spoilt until now.
This week I've also started using MFP again, logging everything I eat as find it keeps me on track. Have managed to stay off alcohol, crisps, chocolate, cakes for just over a week - all of which is usually my downfall. I'm more focused as did another sneaky weigh on Monday and it said the 2lb was back on!! Off again this morning though.
Know daily weighing seems a bit obsessive but have seen a mention (possibly on this thread) of research suggesting that doing so helps keep dieters focused, and think it's helping me stay on the straight and narrow at the moment so gonna go with what works.....
And am very impressed with (and jealous of) your runner status, Dolly, don't think I'll ever get past jogging, but call it a run anyway lol! Definitely going to restart the CV next week, have bike ride with my diet buddy on Saturday so that'll kick start my good intentions.#21 Save £12k in 2025 £12577.35/£20000
