I had a quick shifty at the Diet specialist, TBH everything they will do for you like work out your Body mass index, calorie goal and basal metabolic rate, you can do your self for free by using sites like https://www.myfitnesspal.com/

In fact there is nothing in their "plan an effective diet" that you can't do your self in a google second.

AS someone that actually used a diet plan to lose weight in honesty it's those of us that lack the self discipline and need the motivation of "drop weight and stop paying" its why it work so well and why those that stay close to the weight loss group after they reach their goal weight that keep the weight off longer because we don't want to start paying again.

I needed to use a weight loss plan because im seriously weak willed when it comes to food and it took the financial motivation to keep me in check, it's the only reason I would advocate any diet plan, it's cost me £160 to lose 2 stone the education side of my weightloss has cost me nothing but free time and the help of the guys from the gym and on here ...(thanks guys your great :) )

    Morning all.

Vet quiet on here at the moment hopefully that because everyone is busy keeping fit :)

Kettlebells in the bag for the week, don't half know it is as well, ended up with a 12kg as more newcomers to the class and they ran out of smaller weights it's great to see more women involved with the strength training classes.

Food ended up with a couple of cheese toasted sandwiches and a packet of crisps I was so hungry (which is odd for me after a weight session) I could have eaten a horse and chased the rider good job there was no cake or biscuits in the house

Yoga tonight a welcome change of pace

    Food
    Bfast porridge
    Lunch salad
Tea mushroom omelette and maybe a few wedges and coleslaw

    Have a great day everyone

    Morning all,

No exercise for me yesterday as my friend who is a hairdresser came round and trimmed my hair last night. So hopefully I will weigh a few grams less today! :rotfl:

Ate too much sugar yesterday. It was 2 peoples birthday at work yesterday, so I had a brownie square and a sliver of lemon drizzle cake. That's in addition to the Twinks hobnob. I came in under my calories for the day, but was over on sugar and carbs according to MFP. Ooopsy! Will do better today.

Might go for a run tonight after work. Will see how I feel though, as had flu jab yesterday and my arm is very sore and I feel a bit grotty this morning :( MUST NOT MEDICATE WITH CHOCOLATE!

Poorly people - get well soon.

A bit of a catch up, Wednesday I ran in the woods and it was divine - there was no one else there, I did the steps again but 4 sets instead of 3 that day, there are 99 steps in total and some are huge.

Yesterday was 10 miles on the bike incorporating one of my favourite hills, then in the afternoon I did HIIT and abs at the gym.

Today I have done 40 minutes in the gym and a spin class. I am done for today due to other commitments - work - yawn.

    Hello ladies.

I fell off the wagon after the holiday and gained 3lbs. My motivation c'est mort!
its been time to dig out the frozen leftover takeaway curries, and bacon, egg toasties.

I will relax till next week and wait for new impetus.
Had a few days of plunging depression too, but I have still retained by new power to recognise and avoid too much comfort food.

    Hiya!

Still not exercising in appleland, as still doing battle with my cold. It's one where it's in my muscles, so walking up the stairs wipes me out!

However, I am eating super well (if a few too many plums!) as any sugar or grain intake causes an immediate and massive increase in my snot production and lethargy. So does dairy, except for cottage cheese (phew!). So there's only healthy food left!!!!!

It is bizarre how a week ago I was exercising super intensively, and now I don't even want to think about exercise. Couldn't do any even if i wanted to, I'm such a wekaling!!!!! So I'm giving myself time off and will see how I am/feel next week.

Hmmm, that all sounds very 'poor me'. Will also buck my ideas up!

Hope you're back to normal soon Applemuncher , lots of lurgy doing the rounds at the moment :-(.

Just about to have HM chilli & brown rice, have done 6 days of dumbells so rest tomorrow, should do some cardio too really, may go into town on bike to swap library books so two birds with one stone (5 miles round trip) and also saving petrol. Did sneaky mid week weigh and 2lb lighter, not counting it til Sat though as might be back on by then..... Think having a weight loss partner helping to keep me on the straight and narrow - something needs to!

Hope you are feeling better Applemuncher, I am a big believer in listening to your body and if you need to rest - rest!

Had a fab bike ride with DS this aft. We did a section on an old bridleway that was full of ruts and holes and I was just pleased that I managed to stay on the bike.

I am soooo hungry at the moment though. Any tips? I wonder if I am just not eating enough for the calories I am burning. Any thoughts on healthy snacks other than fruit. I know nuts are good but I am not keen.
