Wow kudos to those trying to cut out sugar- very admirable ladies!!

I've been back on the wagon this week, gym last night & tonight and booked a hardcore class for Sat with a new instructor.

Diets not been too bad- have munched on some sweets at work but eaten very clean and healthy- tofu, Quorn and loads of veggies with cereals so feeling good 😃 must keep it up at the weekend though

Am planning a car boot on Sunday so going to pack a healthy breakfast and lunch to prevent naughty purchases from vans!
    First home- Oct’16 until June’21: £170.995- Overpayments made £13,784 (25% extra!).
New forever home- Sep’21 £309,449 @ 2.05%. Plan to clear it before 30 years!!!!!!

    Morning all.

I went for a run last night and decided to tackle a pretty steep and long hill, I did it but really wanted to stop and walk, the main thing is I didn't though.

Weigh in day today and I have lost 3lb this week which takes me to my target for the month, I am super pleased and rather surprised, I have lost a total of 10lb over the 6 week holidays which I didn't expect. New target of 7lb loss for September.

It's a rest day for me today but still lots of housework jobs to do so plenty of moving about.

    What does clean eating mean?

For me, washing my hands before I eat?!

And to actually attempt a proper answer: eating real food, that is not overly processed, does not contain added sugar, chemicals, preservatives. Food that is as near its natural state as possible.

    Hope that makes sense!

    Morning all,

I've been AWOL for 10 (?) days, due to being super busy at work and then pulling a muscle in my back. :(
I've been in a lot of pain the last few days, but it is slowly starting to hurt less, yay :T
At my last weigh in I had lost 0.2kg or 200g (new weight 65.5kg)!!!:p Not alot, but it was still just about a loss. Haven't weighed myself this week, as stress at work and being in pain has led to a junk food/sweet treat binge of truly epic proportions! And back pain has meant no exercise besides hobbling around at work.

I've just been naughty and had 2 rounds of cheese on toast for my breakfast, but hoping that will keep me full until dinnertime, with just a fruit snack this afternoon.

Right need to get ready to pop into town to get a birthday present. Just keeping moving at the moment is an acheivement for me, but hoping I will be right to start more vigorous exercising next week.

Hope everyone else is doing better than me at the moment!!!

Hello eyebright - hope your back mends soon. It's so debilitating when it's your back. Take care and take it easy.

Today the sun is shining, I have done the food shop and used my aldee voucher. A wash is on, and hopefully the dry weather will stay until it is dry.

Day 8 of no sugar has begun. And I am officially best friends with my scales! A week ago, the day after returning from holiday, I was 10st5. I am now 10st1.25. Yippee! Haven't been at all deprived. Haven't exercised at all!

So I'm wearing my smug face today!

That's fantastic Dolly& Apple muncher

Take it easy Eyebright it's mostly down to diet sadly anyway I reckon i have a 6 pack to rival Jessica Ennis just I keep mine under a layer of insulation :rotfl:

Lazy day so far started with an epic lie-in 12hrs later and I feel rubbish too much of a good thing I suppose.

Aggy Apple muncher hit the nail on the head, clean eating is just the buzz word for cooking natural whole foods from scratch (im down with the kids lingo :rotfl:) with removing processed and refined foods from our diet we are able to better control the sugar in DH diet.

When we started to lose weight back in January DH was eating a massive amount of fruit to replace his sweet stuff great for the waistline but crappy for his blood sugar, so having to stick to lower GI foods to counter this give me a headache just to make a blinking sandwich most days. Got to admit I get sick of thinking about food all the time :D DH get's the easy job of just eating what's in front of him he know better than to complain nowadays

Off to the gym in a bit sun is shining so hoping may get a bit of pool time been weeks since i've been swimming.

    Have a great day everyone.

Well done on all of the weight loss & SF days everyone! It's inspiring!

I won't report in on my eating since it's the weekend :( but I did just turn down a Chinese takeaway for dinner tonight and will have a baked potato instead. Been to Bootcamp & long dog walk this morning so up on my steps and I'll resist the wine tonight as out for a meal and drinks tomorrow.

A question for the no sugar ladies...do you only cut out all processed sugars or are you also avoiding natural sugars such as fruit etc? For instance would you eat an apple with PB or natural yogurt & berries as a snack or would that be a no no? I think I could do it yet often as soon as I think about avoiding certain foods it only makes me crave them more. Admittedly I have noticed recently that I have an incredibly sweet tooth....cold turkey on sugar might be the way forward for me to ween myself away from it!

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Penny
