Have done day 2 with no added sugar. I'm generally trying to keep off grains too, but find this much trickier when dh is around. So I do have some, but not much. Food should get easier once we are all back to work/school.
Dd and I are off to grandma's for 3 or 4 days soon, so tricky again! Tho gma lets me cook for myself, so long as I do her a plateful too!
Jiggle free has really fizzled here. But I did all of July, then 14 day in August of Jumping jiggle free. So not too shoddy.
September will see a focus - exercise-wise - on intensive lower body workouts. Not that I plan to neglect my arms and shoulders, but I feel a butt-reduction emphasis would be handy!

Aggy I use an adapted version of https://www.spiciefoodie.com/2013/01/07/potato-and-yellow-split-pea-curry/ I cheat a lot with lazy ginger/chilli etc and store spices, it's a cheap and cheerful meal, handy when your paying off garage bills
I had this today, very nice and filling too, leftovers will be pepped up with mango chutney stirred in.:j0 -
Sorry i've been AWOL
Had a bulk food prep weekend, not been the best food wise as I also made clean apple cinnamon buns (never knew it was so easy) and chocolate courgette muffins they were suppose to last more then 12 hrs
I think it's because the weather is on the turn, it's just not weather for salad.
Glad to have you back Apple muncher & Dolly glad you both had a great time.
Welcome aboard albacookie
My goals for the year are mostly now financial summer holidays are a killer for our business and I didn't put myself in the best position this summer so the savings and credit cards have had a bit of an extra hammering this year.
1 Stick to my budget
2 Organise my self better, food rotation has kind of gone out the window of late 80% of our food is fresh and im composting more each week I have freezer space so this should never happen.
3 Spend more time with friends and family, with work and gym most days, im seeing less of my nearest and dearest, I need to touch base more often.
4 Instead of just writing to-do list's..actually complete something im a useless cow, I started painting the house..never finished...did a second clear out of my wardrobe...still have a bin-bag to drop to the charity shop most are little things, I need to kick myself and get them done.
think that's enough to keep me busy for the moment if I can stick to one I will be a happy bunny0 -
Afternoon all
Not much happening here, I am still in my PJs. Food is not horrific, but not great. OH is on nights, so I can eat what I like, but often that means cheese on top of something.
I need to get back to the gym but I have been lazy for the past few days, so I need to crack on with that tomorrow.LBM = 07/09/13 Debt = £13339 (100% cleared)

Currently working on September's workouts... Exciting :j. Have got 10 workouts from Zuzana's days in Bodyrock. So I plan to work through them twice, hmmmm, 20 workouts in 31 days - now there's a challenge! Most of them are bodyweight ones, but a couple will use my sandbag (26lbs!). Start= next Monday. Bring it on! :jNST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0

There is never a good time to start dieting/exercising, just do what you can! What's your target?
P.S. Day no.1 with no sugar - survived.
Thanks for the welcomes.
My current goals are (in keeping with the thread title!)
To get fitter - to be able to do a 5k in less than 30 minutes - at the moment it takes me almost that long to cycle 5k!
Trimmer - my friend gets married in December and I have a dress I want to wear that doesn't currently fit.
Managed to complete 45min of bike riding today - only got a little wet towards the end!......0 -

Day no.2 without sugar - done. No socialising, no temptations. Still thinking about malteasers though...0 -

Hi blue_mango - no withdrawal symptoms yet, at any rate! And no to so-called 'healthy' sugary food as I have to be gluten-free. I allow myself a couple of apples - one with almonds and one slathered in peanut butter (!), and on day 1, I had some unsweetened dried mango.
Anyhow, am starting sugar-free day 4 with a good breakfast - 2 scrambled egg, 100g cottage cheese, 4g cinnamon, 10g ground almonds and 50g of a cream mix (whipped double cream mixed with a 200g tub of full-fat cream cheese - yum!) that needed using up before we go away. Honest! It's just a shame I woke up so early and have already eaten it all!
If I am able to maintain avoiding sugar for the next few days, I'll be well chuffed as a 7-day run would be a first!
Ah, exercise. Hmmm. All v quiet from me there. Not exactly doing ANY at the mo. Oops! But I plan to change all that as from Sept 1st. So, just 6 more days of inactivity and then I'll be raring to go...1NST March lion #8; NSD ; MFW9/3/23 Whoop Whoop!!!0 -
