Day....4....done.... *pant*
Its getting harder and my shins are suffering. I cant believe how much difference 20lbs makes!
Tomorrow is a fruit day, I have so much to eat up before it turns so tomo is dedicated to just fruit (in particular a giant watermelon that has been sat staring at me for about 8 days now!)
After that im going to do the 3 day diet as it helps to shift water weight. It says its more effective to do the diet without exercise for maximun weight loss so that'll give my shins a rest£20k in 2023 = £2718 £2023 in 2023 = £196.41 Grocery challenge £250= £195.80 **MONEY MAKES ME HAPPY**0 -
Morning all,
Everyone seems to be doing very well! Yesterday was an exercise rest day for me, though managed 12k steps at work, so was pleased with that.
Food was terrible however  how do other ladies cope with TOTM cravings? I've noticed that the week I'm on I want, want, want sweet treaty food. Yesterday, I had a peanut butter kitkat chunky, and then after dinner 2 squares of dark chocolate. I wanted more but managed to rein myself in, as there was only a bit of leftover dark, cooking chocolate in the house and it was late.
Breakfast was a banana and yoghurt drink. That was fine.
Lunch was my sandwich, but instead of my apple I bought a bag of crisps that was 250+ calories  I am determined to eat this ruddy apple today though :rotfl:
Dinner was ok I made bolognase with onions, peppers, tomatoes and garlic and had it with pasta. I ate a nice small portion and enjoyed it, though I did sprinkle low fat cheddar cheese on top...not much though...
OK, so if I hadn't had the kitkat chunky and the packet of crisps my food wouldnt have been so bad, but between those 2 items I added 500 calories to my days food intake!!
Today is my FIL's birthday, so going for dinner at the inlaws house. FIL is type II diabetic, so we usually have a nice, healthyish roast for dinner and a pud. Will just ask for a small portion of dessert tonight.
Wont have time to exercise today because of work and going for dinner later, but I'm going to get up earlyish tomorrow morning and go for a nice early morning run.

Eyebright - when I get those cravings I just go with them but try to stop before I feel sick. It is awful prowling round the kitchen in the dark secretly stuffing anything I can find in my mouth though:eek:.
Well today is my weigh in day and I have lost 2lb, that leaves me 3lb to lose by the last Friday of the month, doable but I am on holiday for a week but I will try my best. In total I have 26lb to lose by the end of the year to meet my target of 6st this year.
It is my rest day today and a treat day too.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Thats amazing Dolly. I bet you get there before the christmas decorations go up
Fantastic circuit class tonight it finished with a bit of plank challenge for the four of us that attended the first to drop had 20 burpee's 15 for the next then 10 with 0 for the last...no burpee's for me :j
Food
Bfast wmeal toast clean Jam&Butter
Lunch salad box and watermelon
Dinner beans on toast
snack's half a toasted teacake
1468 cals according to MFP that half a toasted teacake had the same cals as most of my meals
DH (he who does not cook) is making me a healthy cooked breakfast tomorrow  because he's given me a work job on my day off, I see many more breakfasts to come if he wants to be forgiven :rotfl:
I have to do an inventory and some shopping tomorrow or meals will start to get very interesting also plan to swap the junk food cupboard with my smaller condiment cupboard as one is pretty much empty most of the time I have enough herbs and spices to start my own shop, hoping to get a swim in if there is time haven't been swimming in 2 weeks and actually starting to miss it oddly.0 -
Day 5 completed, a little easier today but my shins really have given up the ghost.
My fruit day didnt go exactly to planI had mainly fruit but for dinner i needed something of substance so had toast with mushrooms and 1 scrambled egg...then lots more fruit! Ive eaten half a watermelon today, its a whopper too so I feel thats quite an achievement!

Thanks tori - I am hoping to have got there somewhere near the beginning of December, it just gets slower the nearer you get. Well done on the plank challenge.Day 5 completed, a little easier today but my shins really have given up the ghost.

Years ago I had shin splints when I was running quite regularly and it was very painful, having decent trainers solved it.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

Dolly, you are a real inspiration, and we will all be here to cheer you on near the end! I definitely think you can do it. Thank you for the tips re: my TOTM munchies!
Yesterday was a bad, bad, bad day (again)! No exercise, which I knew I wouldn't be able to acheive, but I definitely didn't need the slice of cake I had at work (and I left that bloomin' apple again!!!) or the handful of doritoes...
Then FIL's birthday food turned out to be party food. Uh oh, beige, fried junk food aplenty! I did start out trying to be good, and had 2 mini jacket spuds with garlic butter, a bit of cheese, a chicken drumstick, coleslaw and salad.
But then I had 3 garlic and herb doughballs, some fried crumbed sweet chilli pork bite thingies, a slice of pizza, white baguette slices x 3 or 4 one with pate on top and some crisps
Then a large slice of carrot cake for pud!
Ah well, today is a new day, and I am determined to do a bit better, especially food wise. I've already been out for a run. I ran for just under 25 minutes and covered 3.5k. One of my calves was a bit tight as I was running, but it doesn't feel too bad now. I'm also hopefully going to the gym with my SIL later as well, if she has time inbetween packing for her hols.
Just drying my hair then am going off in search of breakfast. Probably have weetabix this morning, then an omelette for lunch and ribs and jacket potato for dinner I think.
Hope your shin splints settle down soon Nat, I've had them in the past and they are so painful. I agree re: looking at if you need a new pair of trainers. They make such a difference when I'm exercising I find0
