    Morning all

I have definitely caught a lurgy so think today will be restricted to sitting in bed or on the sofa. On the plus side my throat hurts so much I don't think I'll be eating much!

Yesterday's class has left me very achey, although it could also be due to being ill, I guess.

Hope you all have a good day

Poor you, hope it goes quickly. I take Ecchinacea when I feel like that.

    Welcome Tamzing and Monz.

I ran yesterday, I should have cycled but it was so wet and windy I decided not to. Hope summer comes back soon it looks like autumn out there today.

I will run or cycle today depending on the weather, hope to get out blackberry picking again and walking the dog at the same time.

Mmm...treated myself to a good quality smoked trout tonight - sooo delicious! I think I am saving some money by not buying sweets, therefore deserve a treat sometimes. It's petty fish is too expensive in UK.

It's getting easier to say no to sugar, just have to exercise a bit more often if I want to slim those calves...

Fmess, hope you are feeling better and ensuring you rest.

Today was just jiggle free- 50 jump squats, 20 burpees, 10 russian twists. All over very quickly!

Today has also been day 2 of no sugar, and the only fruit has been as apple which I totally smothered in peanut butter!

Bfast - 2 scambled egg, 100g cottage cheese, 40g pl yog, 3g cinnamon and coffees. I started on 100g cheese, which I ate through to about 3pm!
Lunch - 6-veg soup with a tuna steak cooked in it
Tea - carrot soup (we had a glut to use up NOW!) with chips and home-made coleslaw, so another 6 veg. 80g cottage cheese.
Snavk - apple + peanut butter

2 days ago, I was bloated but after 2 days without sugar and grains, I do feel much better.

Today I have been considering my lomg-term goals in 4 areas: work, finance, health and fitness. It's exciting to think big!

Get well soon Fmess! Summer lurgy is no fun :(

Hope you managed to find some blackberries Dolly!

Wow Applemuncher you really know how to pack in the veggies!

Today has been a mixed bag again, though I think overall better than yesterday. Breakfast and lunch went as planned. Only minor snackette was a tinsy broken off piece of a rice crispie cake. It was just a mouthful really, and 2 slices of wafer thin ham prior to the gym.

Yup, I finally made it to the gym tonight! Wasn't my best performance, but having not been for 3 or 4 weeks, I'm just happy I finally made it!

I ran 2.5k in 15 mins, rowed 2k in 12 mins on highest resistance setting and cycled 2.5k in 8 mins @ resistance 6/7 for my cardio bits. I would have liked to have done more, but my gym buddy is recovering from a broken foot and is limited to what she can do, and I felt mean having her sit around whilst I pounded on the treadmill!

Also hit the weight machines for a bit too. Leg press @ 50kg until muscle fatigue, 4 different arm ones, shoulder press @ 10kg (I have really weak arms!), chest press at 15kg, rowing arm machine thingy @ 20kg and the pull down machine thingy @ 20kg. I'm not good with knowing the names of the pieces of equipment!!! Then did 2 other leg machines both @ 20kg.

Finally finished with some ab exercises on the matts, 45 second plank, crunches with a 3kg dumbell, more crunches without, cycling crunches (that's what I call them!), then finished off with a bit of stretching. Think that about covers it. I'm pleasantly achey now!!

If the weather is alright tomorrow evening the plan is to go to mountain biking for an hour or so afterwork at the local forest trail centre place with my bf!

Hope everyone has had a healthy and happy and productive day!:D

ETA: forgot to talk about the bad bit of my day. My dinner! I had a processed garlic chicken fillet thingy, baked beans (reduced salt and sugar) and a big pile of curly fries and 2 onion rings!!! Tomorrow I will have a great day, where my meals are all good and I exercise!!

I quite often eat first, think about what I've just put in my mouth later. It's just an autopilot thing, I eat it before I have engaged my brain and made an informed decision whether I really do want it. Not sure what the answer is for me with regards to how I can overcome it.

    Thoughts anyone?

I've been on the sofa watching tv for 14 hours today so no exercise.

Throat was too sore for real food (attempted bread but it hurt) so I've had half melted ice cream, mashed potato with cheese and lots of warm ribena.

    Well done everyone else :)

Also just realised I managed my 10k steps today. 12269 according to my phone and this doesn't include running at the gym as my phone was safely stashed away at the time. Very pleased with that.

Mmm, cheesy mash, that's my ultimate comfort food, Fmess. I hope you are looking after yourself, you will be back up and at them in no-time. :)

Hope you dont mind me joining?

Literally just completed Day 2 of 30 Day Shred and I hurt all over. Ive upped the weights from a can of baked beans to 2kg in each hand...ouch. Major water retention in the legs today to the point where it hurt to stand. Having just finished exercising, i must say they feel much better already!

22 days until I go to Alton Towers and the fear of not fitting on the rides is overpowering. I will lose weight!

    Morning all.

Eyebright do you keep a food log as you eat, I find if I write it down at the time I do eat less...well it does usually work :)

Hi Nat21love muscle holds water for repair this will improve the fitter you get I do a kettlebell class and have the same reaction I find Yoga really helps although it's uncomfortable at the time my recovery is better if I train light the day after, downside is when it stop's happening that when you need to up the weight and you go through it again. im now on 10kg you wont bulk as women we don't have enough testosterone I have muscle definition in my shoulders and biceps but still have more bingo wings then I like due to losing 2 stone of weight.

    Food.
    Bfast overnight oats
    Lunch salad box & fruit
no plan yet for tea as I have to go freezer diving.

Exercise 1 hours cardio in the gym bike& treadmill. low plank side hip dips, bike crunches, reverse crunches and squats, 3 sets of 60second reps

    Have a great day everyone
