    Morning all,

Didn't get on last night due to sheer exhaustion. After not exercising for nigh on 3 weeks, doing 2 nights in a row killed me!
We did 2 different blue runs (I'm too chicken at the moment to do red runs), totalling about 7 or 8 miles in total I think. OH hasn't told me the scores on the doors from his Garmin yet...
I was seriously struggling with the uphills for the last mile or two, right down at the bottom of my gears!

We were biking for about 80 minutes altogether, which according to MFP is about 745 calories  which is good because I ate very naughtily yesterday. Whenever work stresses me out I find if there is anything sweet around I dive head first into it. I was stressed yesterday morning, so when I found a giant box of malteasers I easily ate 15-20 of them :(

I didn't engage my brain again Tori.

To try and balance out my calories I then didn't eat my apple for lunch :rotfl:

Dinner was then a gammon steak (should only have had half but ate the whole thing!), with curly fries, baked beans and a fried egg. That was a huge plate of food and I felt stuffed afterwards, I should have just stopped half way through.

Nevermind; drawing a line under yesterday and moving onwards today. No exercise for me today, just going to rest my legs, which feel like lead weights this morning!

Oh and I did 16,543 steps yesterday!

    So, today:
B- banana and a yoghurt drink
L - Cheese and ham sandwich on wholemeal bread, apple
    D- Cottage pie + veg

Have a wonderful day everyone, I'm just off to find some Brufen for my aching muscles!

Glad you are getting better Fmess.

Eyebright - that gym workout sounds pretty good to me.

    Welcome nat21luv.

Yesterday was not a good day food wise. I took the kids for a day out and took my own lunch - cous cous and salmon, then I had a Greggs Bavarian Slice, a pack of Go Ahead biscuits (the 3 crispy ones in a mini pack), it was DH's birthday so I then had 1/2 a portion of fish and chips at tea time, a handful of roasted peanuts and 4 Thorntons chocs. I did do a very hard 10 mile bike ride somewhere in the middle of all that and I will run today but I expect to still be stuck at the same weight when I get weighed on Friday.

On Tuesday I did my longest run to date - 1 hour in the pouring rain, I didn't run the whole thing by any means but I ran a lot of it and I knew about it when I got home, that same route takes me 2 hours to walk. It will be a while before I want to do that one again.

    Hi there
would anyone mind if I join you? I'm struggling to lose 11 or 12lbs at the minute. I lose a few, gain a few & I'm getting really disheartened :(
Would it be ok if I crash your group for a bit of support :)

Oopsie! Have demolished a jar of peanut butter in 4 days. Or was it 3?!

Earlier today, I had a good helping of grapes - they needed munching up as we go away tomorrow morning - and afterwards, I felt surprisingly bloated. Hmmm. May avoid grapes for now - usually imported from t'other hemisphere and have a huuuge carbon footprint anyway. And no, the grape incident and the peanut butter incident were not simultaneous! :rotfl:

I jumping jiggle freed this morning, had 9 veg for lunch, haven't spent a bean and have kept off the sugar. 4/5 today as I don't expect to get another 3500 steps in before bedtime.

tori - am coming down your neck of the woods on Monday. We're holidaying in North Devon but on Monday I'm going to visit my uncle in Probus for the last time. I'll wave to all and sundry as I trundle down the A39!

I managed to get out for my run and dodged the heavy showers. Also got out for a walk with the kids and the dog and for the first time in over a week we managed to stay dry. Have had a shower and been in my pj's since 5.30pm, very comfy.

    Evening all

tori I love the sound of your taxi cab!

I'm coming down to Gloucestershire tomorrow for the weekend but don't think that is far enough :(

Today has been a bad food day and no exercise as it's been busy prepping for the weekend, and supporting students as they get their results.

This weekend is a weekend off as I will potentially be consuming copious numbers of calories through alcohol as well as food. I don't usually drink but the weekend has many drinking games scheduled in!

I'll be reading but may not be posting. Have a lovely weekend.

Thats great Helen, trust you had a lovely time.

Re chinese, just how calorific is it? When I googled it kept showing cup sizes, but no one eats just a cupfull.
ie, we get a half portion of chicken cashew with rice, so that comes all tog in one long foil tub, then that does me twice.

today had 3 thin oatcakes thinly buttered with marmalade, then small dish of hm chilli , rice.
    greengages and a large orange.

I went for a walk yesterday, its a start lol.
