    Morning all.

Feeling a little brighter today now just have the post workout ache and a little fluid build up which should ease as the day goes on.

Hope you get your ride in Dolly look's like we have today before the rain kicks in again

Do you weight yourself same time same day once a week Fmess? I believe weight can vary up to 2kg during the course of a day with water you will always weight lighter in the morning compared to the evening so be religious with your weigh in times once a week.

Food same as yesterday but having scrambled eggs on toast this morning will keep my overnight oats as my snack later. an active rest day moving furniture at the MIL a challenge in itself.

    have a great day everyone.

    Morning

    Glad you're recovering :)

Yes I always weigh myself before breakfast in the morning but I'm known to be impatient and weigh I'm more than once a week. Official day is usually Sunday morning so will do another weigh in tomorrow.

Not in a great mood today, due to OH, so need to be on the lookout for comfort eating!

Off to walk the dogs, then go to the gym.

    Hi All,

Please can I join you all in this thread, it has been so inspiring for me to read! I have been slowly (very slowly), losing weight over the last year or so, but recently I've not been losing anything and have basically plataeued. This is a combination of not eating healthily, and the exercise all but grinding to a halt!

I'm currently 5'2" and weigh 66.2kg. I gave up on weighing in lbs as my scales seem terribly inaccurate on that setting! I was 12 stone when I started my weightloss journey and think 66kg equates to about 10st5lb-ish. So not bad, but I want to step it up a gear! I would like to be 9 stone by Christmas, and probably nearer to 8 1/2 stone by my birthday in February, which I think is about right for my height! Though I will keep the end target under review as I progress.

Everyone here is so inspiring and I hope to be able to follow in your footsteps!

I'm off now to have brunch, an omelette I think. With cheese though. I love cheese. I want to cut out processed food and reduce my sugar intake. This is going to be my first goal at sorting out my eating.

    Thanks for reading! :)
  • Morning!! Thank you for the warm welcome!

    Welcome Eyebright!!

I got up early yesterday and went for a walk, for breakfast I had two eggs, lunch I had a feta salad and dinner I had salmon, mango salsa and rice.

I was really good one of my colleague bought me a big bar of Galaxy for doing them a favour. I've hidden it in my draw, It will probably go to my sister when I next see her. Otherwise I will eat it!

I working today so I might go for a swim later if im not too tired!

Hope Everyone has a lovely day.

Welcome eyebright, it's good to have more people on the path with us.

I got my morning ZWOW done - it was a super toughie, yet only needed 1x 5kg dumbell and my own body weight. It was #35, called Sweat Everywhere. 3x
    - 10 DB overhead squat + side leg lift
    - 10 competition burpee
    - 5 each DB pistol squat
    - 40 chair hops (high heels)
    - 10 dive bomber

It all took a little under 16 mins, and my legs and shoulders were well wobbly afterwards! I then did jumping jiggle free - 20 jump lunge, 10 press up and 25 sit up - which only took 2 mins. I did a good stretching session afterwards too, to prevent my body seizing up!

So far, so good regarding food. And my work trousers still fit, so at least I'll have something to wear when school starts back! I'm getting a much-needed haircut next week, so wil lose a few ounces there!

Happy Saturday All & hello to Eyebright & littlehope!

Been not too bad over the last few days with lots of walking & good eating. Today was 1.5hr Bootcamp then approx 4mile dog walk.

B - last night dinner was hm chicken fried rice & prawn gyozas.....delish....far nicer than takeaway.

    Food today;
    Fruit, yogurt & hm granola
L - bean & cous cous salad with goats cheese
D - eating out...likely to be naughty with food & wine but it is Saturday after all!

Applemuncher...I don't even know what half of the exercises you mention are but the sounds tough! :rotfl:

Tori.k, can I ask what your overnight oats are? They sound good and I'm looking for new breakfast inspiration rather than berries & yogurt. I eat a lot of fruit but think I need to try to eat more veg rather than fruit to try to reduce my sugary consumption...natural of not.

    Have a good day all!

    welcome Eyebright.

Well done applemuncher on your exercise, I love wobbly legs.

Me and DH have completed our bike ride, it was a nasty one with a 2 mile hill which was unbelievably steep, luckily it wasn't windy on the hill but the other 8 miles were and we were riding into it the whole time.

We are toasting marshmallows tonight with the kids, they will eat them all but I will be eating something naughty for sure.

    Have a lovely evening all.

Im so green Applemuncher I still dont have good form on the pistol squats tho have the divebomber sorted thanks to the amount of time spent in a Chaturanga pose (half push-up) in yoga.

Hiya Eyebright I also should be a member of cheese anonymous so share your pain :)

Sounds like a fantastic day and perfect evening dolly what life should be about enjoy your naughty night :D

Fmess hope you stomped out your bad mood, thats something i've done before just to calm down then realised im 6 miles out in the sticks with a long walk home :rotfl:

Well the MIL is sorted she has a better DIL then she deserves at time's, got to confess that half a toasted tea cake and half a millionaire shortbread fell into my mouth :o but I earned it...believe me :D

    have a great evening everyone

Ps Penny Overnight oats a brill it a portion of oats, couple spoons of Greek yoghurt and cup of milk and I add a TLBS of chia seeds topped with anything you like (there are loads of ideas on'line) place in a jar and bung in the fridge overnight it softens the oats and make it really creamy eat it cold or heat it up, they keep for a few days so it handy to grab and go.

    Welcome eyebright

I did a really good body combat class today (may have been visualising OH as my target!) and walked the dogs a couple of miles.

I ate a bit too well, and was treated to a takeaway for dinner by my family, so food was not diet friendly.

Tomorrow is weigh in day but not hopeful after the past two day's food. I'm going to try and find a spot to leave the scales in so I can try and get a more constant accuracy.

On a plus, I have worn Topshop jeans for the first time in years :) As I'm petite, they rarely have size 14 and I never used to be able to get in them (apparently they are notoriously small on their sizes) even if I found them. However a couple of months ago I spotted a pair of lovely jeans and treated myself to a pair of size 12s. Today I tried them, and they fit :T

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone!

Great news on the jeans fitting Fmess, you must be so pleased! I have had a bit of a lazy day today, which is not the great kickstart I wanted, but work has been so busy all week I needed the down time.

I had a chicken and small amount of cheese 2 egg omelette for brunch this morning, which kept me full for most of the afternoon. Had a banana at around 2pm then nothing until dinner which we sat down to at 7.30pm.

Saturday is a bit of a treat day, so had a jacket potato (with a sprinkle of cheese, naturally), half a rack of BBQ ribs (which were delish), coleslaw and a small amount of leftover beef chilli that needed using up. I loved every mouthful, but was quite restrained with my portion. Portion control is a big issue for me!

No exercise to speak of, as suffered with some crampy stomach pains this afternoon. Think my TOTM is soon to be upon me, uh oh...have just succumbed to a bag of pickled onion space raiders crisps too. Baked not fried, and 64 kcals, so not the end of the world, but still not part of the plan!

All being well, if the weather is ok, we have planned to go on a 22 mile bike ride along the granite trail Dartmoor way. That should burn off that pesky packet of crisps!

Hope everyone has had a good day. Weighing myself in the morning, to get a better idea of my starting weight for this part of my weight loss journey.

Just realised I have wittered on for quite a while, sorry!

Eyebright have you done any of the treasure trails https://www.treasuretrails.co.uk/devon/things-to-do-in-dartmoor.html

There are some great ones around Dartmoor, it's a favourite of our's...but then so the breakfast at the tradesman arms...not so diet friendly :D
